Violent crime against any innocent person, not just any young child, should carry a mandatory jail sentence between a year and life, depending on the severity of the harm being done. An old woman being punched in the face may suffer as much harm as a 9 year old child. Age discrimination against victims is not justified.

There was just a recent attack on an elderly woman walking to church when she was punched in the face and robbed by a 16 year old with multiple assault charges. He took her purse and her car. SIXTEEN! But, they will side with the criminal because he's "troubled".

Who allows these pathetic, incompetent judges to sit and allows them to pass such sentences such as release without bail. After the horrendous assault on a nurse causing severe injury, including needing jaw to be wired shut. Not to mention the emotional her long term trauma. Now the same will happen again to a 9 year-old girl. These need to be dismissed with immediate effect. with loss of pension, benefits, qualified immunity and blacklisted with loss of license to practice as a judge. Following which he should jointly face charges with Zarzuela. As well as being sued. Let's hope this gives notice to other idiotic judges not to make the same stupid preventable error.
