I have a sibling pair of cats that are just like that! Seven is a little cuddlebug who yells the whole house together because she felt lonely for 0.1 second, and her big brother Q is a lot more laid-back and independent (although he is a *total* momma's boy!)

Awww, my orange fur baby and his sister came from an abusive home , but he's the quiet one, shy and extroverted (but loves being loved and knows he's safe with me) it's his tortie sister that is the loud and demanding one, lol tho she's too queenly to jump for treats, she just royally demands me to get them, lol

This is uncanny. Many years ago I also adopted a brother/sister pair rescued from a neglected home environment and named them Artemis and Apollo. Apollo was a big boy and very talkative and loved to eat. Artemis is a huge cuddle bug, but is very quite. Sadly Apollo has passed on, but it's heart warming to see another Apollo out there that so closely resembles my own.

I am actually a personal friend of Apollo's human. He really is the biggest sweetheart. Some cats are initially nervous around new people, even when they love their owner. Apollo was instantly cuddly around me.

@@matthewkyes2362 Yeah, never declaw your cat, it is not acceptable to do that to a poor cat. You can trim their claws down where they aren’t a problem, but declawing them removes their knuckles. Imagine doing that to a human 😢

It's amazing that he's obviously not using his claws when grabbing the hand, I think he's aware of that and consciously keeps his claws in to not hurt his owner.

At first I was worried that these cats were declawed but later in the video you can see the claws. The one that jumps up probably used the claws but saw the reaction of its owner and adapted. Pretty cool.

We trained our cat to not subconsciously use his claws on us. The reminder/command is “no claws” with a tap on his paw. He doesn’t intentionally harm us. He’s allowed to show his displeasure with bared teeth or by batting at us with sheathed claws (mostly when caring for his claws, he’s just on his back on my lap, he lets me know when it’s sensitive). Grinding the claw tips means less damage if he does forget (like using my shoulders as a launch pad). We have similar training with biting: “no biting” and holding his mouth closed (or open, the point is he doesn’t have control of his jaw). He never breaks skin, but it is purposeful aggression. He is required to “apologize”, a specific submissive gesture that he won’t do when he’s upset or rebellious. When he disobeys (ie not allowed on kitchen counter), he is scolded, then told to apologize. We know he’s back to being our lovely dog-cat when he apologizes.

@@HamzurgerIt causes paw pain, back pain, infection, tissue necrosis and lameness (unable to walk because of pain), and improperly removed claws can regrow which then also causes nerve damage and bone spurs. It’s essentially like amputating an arm because it itches sometimes.

Throughout this video, all I could think to myself was "there is no way this cat hasn't been declawed, the owner would never let him jump up and latch onto his hands like that if he still had claws" Then I got to 2:40 and the little guys claws are clearly visible. They quickly learn to grab without extending the claws. IF my Rusty does extend his claws it is not to hurt but to get my attention. At almost twenty pounds he pretty well knows what works and what will get him in trouble.

I believe that he knows exactly how special your relationship is! I lost my very special friend this time last year, and I’ll swear that my neighbour’s cat registered my pain. My mum has a cat like that. When a neighbour lost her brother and her dog I a very shirt time, he went there for 2 weeks. Seriously, my mum though Mt he was dead and the neighbour came to tell her he was there and would move. He did the same with another neighbour who lost his mum. A lot of animal feel distress and sadness and when you respect them and love them, they'll be there for you. When my mum got divorced, she was sad as she still loved my father but knew the divorce was the best yo do. She often cried when I was in bed and our cats would be all over her during that time

I was determined to help him and I changed his food 13 different times, using each brand for one week. I didn’t think he was going to get better, but I finally found the food that saved his life. Iams cat food. It was an instant turnaround and I was blessed with another 12 years of his life. I 100% owe that additional 12 years to the Iams cat food. I had my cat surprise me when he jumped onto a 8ft fence! I was super surprised especially because he is not young anymore - 11 years old. Most funny was that when he jumped onto it he just turned around and looked all smug about himself to me. I praised him and asked to get down and he did ❤️

There's a bit of variance in that depending on the breed. Siberians are capable of jumping around 10-12 feet, and I'd assume Savanna hybrids can jump even higher than that since they're part Serval (Servals are known to be able to catch birds out of the air). But don't expect much jump height from a Munchkin.

@@deepalall647 Pretty sure Domestic Shorthairs aren't entirely 100% African Wildcat either after years of selective breeding and recrossing. You don't see Tortoiseshell or Tuxedo markings in the wild, and their hind legs are actually smaller relative to body size compared to pretty much any wild cat. But I agree with you on Munchkins specifically, their short leg structure makes them prone to joint issues.

I am allergic to kitties but I rescue senior pups. Your cat is like my pups and they would even follow me into bathroom then lay on rug in doorway making sure nobody gets to me in there. Thank you for rescuing this furbabies.

I've had many cats through the years and did have one, Gracie, who could jump that high from from a standstill position. It really is an amazing thing to see. That is too funny. I love how he jumps so high. And I think that orange cats have different personalities than other cats there's just something about them that sets them apart from others. I've had a Siamese and a regular tabby cat and now I have a cat that's tabby mix of something she's a little diva and when you say cookies she can be in a deep sleep she will wake up not even fully awake and she will be right there waiting for cookies. Your cats are so sweet thank you for taking them in. ❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾😺😺

Yes. I just read a story from a shelter in California where the woman said the cats who are homed quickly are male orange. They in particular are very social and just a bit different from typical cats.
