Not much time react there. He would have needed something in his hand before the punk approached. Sometimes I take off my old Apple watch to avoid situations.
@@mattheww239 then he should get a better job. If he wants a Rolex so bad, he needs to get a job, save up some money, apply for grants and scholarships, go to school or get a trade and then get a job where he could afford a Rolex.
@@SuperDuffyj I know that. Same principle. If he wanted the money, he should work for it instead of beating someone abd stealing it. I can't stand when people steal things from others. You never know what someone is going through.
@@autumncheung145 Being out with no bail doesn’t mean that laws aren’t being enforced. I know it is hard for you guys to understand, but bail isn’t meant to be used as a punishment.
idk. I guess we have to wait and see how it plays out. But I'd like to see him charged with assault and battery, abuse of the elderly, and anything else a DA can think of.
Robs an elderly man, gets sentenced to 4 years in prison, get deported, crosses the border again, robs an elderly man, gets sentenced to 7 years, rince, wash, repeat.
@@intimiderp6580 im perfectly aware of that. the suspect shown in the picture did not look white. anyone with eyes and a brain could understand what I was saying.
Nothing is going to change here in Cali, if we just allow people like district attorney, George Gascon, to stay in office. We need to elect him out. This is crazy, I’ve come to the conclusion that basically you need to arm yourself and give yourself justice, because the system we live in is not going to give us justice when we become a victim
Some people think that watch is a $10,000 watch but it is a Rolex day date gold watch that costs $40,000. It actually has diamond markers so it costs more like $50,000. I wouldn't even wear a fake $1,000 Rolex because it will attract thieves especially if you get out of a nice Mercedes. If you wear a $50,000 watch or necklace, you could definitely be a target.
@@K-Rex589you're right. I've only been spending my money on expensive clothes and cars to display. Looks like I'll need to find something else like food or rent to spend it on 🤦♂️
@@K-Rex589to pay bills and enjoy life, it's a risk to buy expensive stuff these days. It's entirely up to you on whta you spend it on but that is honestly a silly question
Doesnt sound stupid at all. Its not smart as an old man (or young for that matter) to wear 50 thousand dollars on your wrists. Lots of people would do terrible things for that amount of money, and those terrible people need to be held accountable by the law, but there will never be a world without criminals and lowlives, ever. Hence, one should act accordingly. It doesn’t take much not to be a target to these types of thieves. If we can save ourselves from worlds of trouble just by not flashing money like this, why shouldn’t we? I presume you were trying to make a connection between these types of robberies, peoples reactions and expectations of the victim, and sxl assault victims, although your connection falls short in the logic department (if thats what you were trying to do in the first place).
This is why I never wore my watch in public. I was in a horrible accident right before graduating college and was severely depressed. My mom said I'd make it through and she'd get me the watch I'd always wanted if I held out hope. When I got out of the hospital she bought me a rolex I'd always wanted. It felt silly, but it signified a lot. The sad truth is that I never, ever wore it in public once. It's been 7 years. I always thought "this thing serves no purpose other than to make me a target" - I don't care about the "status" and my phone functions as a device to keep time. I loved the look and thought it was so cool, but couldn't justify the risk of wearing it.
It should say something if you get caught before the media can even cover it. Criminals def arn't the smart ones. Poor man, the use of force was completly unnessasary for the result
Why the hell would you set the bail so high. At what point does it become so stupid to institute bail clearly as a means to prevent them from getting out of jail. Instead just KEEPING THEM IN JAIL! Golly change this antiquated bail system already!
plot twist... turned out that the Rolex was a counterfeit... so good that only an authorized Rolex dealer can tell, after opening the back and inspecting the movement. :(
Even if it is counterfeit I wouldnt even wear it specially in LA. That guy got beat up unfortunately. Looking rich is never worth it because there will always be people like this.
