Yes is not nice to leave but is true that I'll take you two hours to get out of Etihad grounds if you stay till the end of the match, thankfully the club is working with the city to create whole new roads and routes since the current ones weren't made for a football stadium crowd.

Something that happens at every ground, you`re point being what exactly?

as I said, my point being that the stadium was constructed with some protected communities, historic sides and roads around which has also prevented the construction of public transit such as a train station capable of handling the number of people attending a stadium and now when it gets the new expansion (probably this year) will get worse. That's why the government is getting involved, many stadiums have that problem but not as bad,, that's why they are also looking at measures to support walking and cycling links with the city centre. They already said they will take down the water towers which have been associated with the area for almost 100 years, I suppose that's going to be one of the huge roads.
