I just watched an eleven and a half minute video about an hour and a half long movie based on a one minute joke. The original joke? Well a young sailor joins his ship for the first time and is bored after a few days of sailing. He’s directed to “the barrel” and told to “stick it in” being assured it’s okay because the whole crew does it. It felt great so he went back for more on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and it all felt great but on Friday he stuck it in and nothing happened. He advised the Captain of the malfunction and the Captain said “Of course it didn’t work, it’s Friday. It’s your turn to be in the barrel.”

Moral of the story: if you think you spouse is cheating, do a proper investigation

I feel like this has a deeper meaning to it , like how a simple addiction can change your whole life

Reminded me little bit on this : To become a friar. The man is welcomed warmly into the brotherhood, and a fellow friar takes him on a tour of the place. He shows him the chapel, sleeping quarters, gardens, prayer rooms, library... It goes on and on, and the mans eyes grow bigger at every turn. And so the tour is concluded, and the friar asks if the man has any other questions. The man then reluctantly asks "well, how do you guys cope with the urges of the flesh? You know, sex?" The friar smiles and says " I knew you would ask that! Come, follow me." The man follows the friar to the stables, where they stop at an ordinary barrel. "you see that hole?" asked the friar, pointing at a hole in the barrels side, "stick your junk in there and you'll get the pleasing you desire!". "Oh man, sweet!" answers the man, "How often can I use this?" "Everyday except Tuesday." "Why not Tuesday?" the man asks. The friar looks at him and says "Because then it's your turn to get in the barrel!"

its like that joke: basically how it goes is that theres a dude on a ship with other dudes and hes like horny and shit so he goes to his captain to ask how everyone else deals with the situation and then the captain shows him a barrel with a hole in it and says thats how we solve it, and so he tries it and it feels good but after a while the captain asks him about his problem and the dude replies that he's feeling great, and so the captain says "thats great, because it looks like you're in the barrel today."

They made a “horror” movie out of the joke: A soldier on deployment in the desert is desperate for some action but there are no women around and he’s forbidden from leaving the base. Another soldier clues him into a secret hole about a mile outside the base, wait until night sneak off put your - in the hole and have fun. The soldier waits a few days then one nite does it and it’s great. He goes back several nites in a row the last time nothing happens. He asks the the guy who told him about it that nothing happened the last time the guy replies, “ well yeah, it’s your turn in the hole”
