Don, this is wonderful. I found your song through watching Andy McKee's "Into the Ocean". Andy is from my home state so his musical talent is very inspiring to me. This song; however, has touched something deep within my soul. I've listened to it non-stop since I found it 2 days ago. I'm not in the "itunes" revolution or anything, and I've never bought any music online. But I WILL be buying your cd. I can't explain it, but the melody touches something deep in my heart. I must have it for my own.

How have I never seen this before? It's absolutely gorgeous, kinda melancholy, yet has resonance of hope. Definitely more down-trodden though. Color me impressed as hell. Also note: That instrument is so beast.

They did a radio show together sometime back they had some great conversation but each played solo songs however the intro of the show and extro has them jammin. Its and audio file only that Don passed onto me as I help him run this site. Its a one hour radio show so wont have any video if I post it.

its pretty simple to learn but will miss the bass strings for some of the though just make up new parts .. tuning is DADFCE

I think the upper body is help support the volume of the low bass notes otherwise they would be to quiet.

@chesspro22k I do agree with you. When I hear a Bach arrangement I usually NEVER know how the people are looking as they play, but I feel wonderful. I think the Visual aspect of music is the least important. Next thing you know people will be saying "oh man, his jeans just totally make this song better!" Feeling is something you have that goes beyond your expressions. You can be really angry and not show or even overjoyed, but people will pick up on it anyway your actions.

I've been playing music for over 30 years, i've been in countless bands, done tons of solo work, and guest appearances...there's a HUGE difference in playing music and FEELING music. Playing is mindlessly going through motion...feeling it is putting your soul into it. It's OK chess...not all people have it. You're name says it all...chesspro, they're very emotionless folk.

Actually is it a LYRE and guitar . Harps have strings rising perpendicularly from the sound-board. Lyres have `bridges` and strings run across the sound-board. The string vibrations create diffferent sounds, as a result. Andy Lowings

@MisterSirPerson i understand what you're saying, but it depends on what you're if music you're playing.... i have seven years of classical style, so when i play classical it make seem like I'm a little stiff compared to this guy. To say someones not a musician because they don't seem to be "feeling" the music (on the outside) is ludicrous!

@playthatfunkymusic56 so if you will play higher pitched songs you will also have to change the tuning of the bass harp strings? that is inconvenient, better if it has at least 12 bass strings tuned chromatically.

As two people have pointed out, this is still a twelve stringed guitar. I meant a single neck guitar with strings tuned in courses, as is normally known as a 12 string, not a harp guitar that happens to have 12 strings.
