@@Aero.Smith. Plini, Polyphia, Ichika Nito, Rings of Saturn, Lorna Shore, Animals as Leaders, they’re all pretty weird, but they have very interesting and new approaches to music/guitar
I got my band and we’re trying to put out our first music video and maybe our first EP, we have the same mindset of trying to release good rock music again.
I remember watching the video on MTV by Paul Rachman, the VJ, back when it first arrived. It blew my mind. I was 18 at the time was still getting that musical influence to develop my taste. Damn it was awesome.
social parasite from 89 was one of their most rocking songs from their production demos. I have no idea why they didn't Include it on face-lift. its such a banger
Jerry Cantrell has said in the past that they weren’t labeled grunge until after Dirt was out for several months. Nirvana is grunge, Alice In Chains is just old school heavy metal. Like Black Sabbath, Kiss and Led Zeppelin and AC/DC.
Thats just heavy metal man let’s be real, especially the solo on that song, I mean it sounds like it EASILY could be a Metallica song, the bass, the chorus, along with the drums, smacking that snare with the loud kick drum, dude that is straight up heavy metal no denying it
I broke my Cole Clarke. I sat on it. It was underneath a blanket. Traumatic experience. However I've been playing since i was 13. I pulled the trigger. I bought a D-28. I figured this community would appreciate it.
I only wish you were my neighbor. You remind me of a roommate I had in Korea that was in a hand before he joined. We would watch him jam out to everything that was hot prior to 1984.
I’ve been gigging with my HX stomp for two years the presets are fantastic and everyone loves my tone. I used to have a twin reverb and a bunch of pedals and the tone wasn’t as good as it is now
The key to grunge music is not actually knowing how to play your musical instruments with technical ability . Alice in chains isn't grunge. They actually have technical abilities.
Y'all how many times doI have to keep saying this GRUNGE ISNT A GENRE!!!! EVERY "GRUNGE" BAND HATED BEING CALLED IT AND CALLED IT A DISRESPECTFUL TERM AND IT'S DISRESPECTFUL TO LAYNE STAYLE'S, CHRIS CORNELL'S AND SCOTT WEILAND'S LEGACY!!!! JUST CALL THEM ROCK LIKE THEY WANTED TO BE CALLED
Grunge was music's projectile vomiting after partying too hard in the 80s. Yes, I said it. Grunge was vomit. Nothing I ever want to deal with. It has always sucked. 80s rock was the best of modern music.,
Melvins Soundgarden are definitely one of the earliest. I would say that SuperFuzz Big Muff by Mudhoney was the first real grunge record as we know it even if Green River were before them. The Melvins, as always, were way ahead of the game and created the genre
oh my gosh, you know how to play riffs that everybody knows and have an opinion about the music you personally like….how are you unique??how are you not like EVERY body else?… really?!?
