Pets are animals held in human captivity because you're lonely and don't know how to have an honest relationship with other humans. No matter how much you people try to humanize your animals, you will never be able to change their God given nature to eat you alive or dead whenever they want...
Pitbullls have the mindset of a dog. Terriers and Bulldogs, to be specific. And let's not forget that dogs are 99.9% wolf. No matter how cute they are, they are predators. I love my 60 lb APBT, but I never forget what he is. This man was struggling to feed himself and was barely feeding the dog. A hungry dog can easily become an aggressive dog. Some people shouldn't have certain breeds.
You don't have anything about Pitbulls then. They are notorious for attacks. They cause more deaths every year than any other breed. That is their nature: aggressive and unpredictable.

My pitbull just passed away last week at the age of 12, due to a heart tumor, he was the most loving dog I've ever had and ever been around, he loved cats, dogs of all sizes and all people. Any dog can be vicious in the wrong hands, these dogs are not meant for everyone, too many people who have this breed, have them for all the wrong reasons. Especially here in nyc

Pitbulls can be the best dogs but it’s not a breed for the uninformed and unfortunately the uninformed usually get these dogs because they look tough. In the Bronx pit owners use it as protection and to look tough and they encourage dangerous behaviors/ don’t socialize their dogs. Bronx dog culture is a world different from NYC dog culture
Where did he get the dog from? The story isn’t clear. Seem as though he got a Pitt that was already raised and may had issues and that’s why the previous owner gave it away. That dog may have already had a history and the man triggered it somehow. He put everybody in that building life in jeopardy by having that dog. He probably thought he could handle and retrain it.
I grew up with dogs in our house. Only training most dogs need is house training. Nobody should have to handle their dog with pins and needles. I went to a friend's house and her pits are guarding the bedroom doors and I got to tip toe to go to bathroom or yell out for my friend like I'm in a damn prison...🤔
