I am from West Bengal and don't understand Marathi. Yet this music has touched me thoroughly. Proud of marathi culture and music being an Indian. Apart from so many different factors, Classical music is one of the significant threads that is binding India.

Marathi songs are truly the best in the country. My grandma is a Maharashtrian and I am a Kannadiga. She watches marathi serials all day and I must say that all the serials she watches have the best ever songs, like swami samarth, vithu mauli, swamini, Phulala Sugandh Matichaa, aayi kuthe kay karte etc. Even the smallest of the movies in marathi have world class level songs. Not lying.
