A man who has been named in several mortgage fraud investigations is among the dead in a triple shooting. Shauna Hunt is outside the North York business where we are learning more about the people involved.
Yup playing with ppl mortgage payments smh 😮 its hard enough paying the banks back with mortgage loan intrest🤔 add some mortgage fraud in there yup you will snap..💯🤯🤯
This Arash Missaghi embezzled $17 million in a mortgage fraud scheme that he was charged with in 2018. Why was he not in prison? Ppl blame the cops, the cops do all they can to arrest only for the judges to release these fraudsters.
Looks like justice was finally served, I only feel bad for the families these two crooks stole money from. Canadians are finally doing what the legal system seems helpless to do, stop criminals.
I’m a one of the victims that those people took my house and did fraud on my property I m ready to interview with news and give some through information regards those fraudsters
Arash Missaghi one of the victims was charged in 2018 with embezzling $17 million in a mortgage fraud scheme. I mean why was this fraudster not in prison.
The police do all they can to arrest, once arrested they are handed over to the lockup, the judges release them with an appointed court date which can be a year away... lengthy trials and lawyers result in a slap on the wrist (such as this case was)...they are free to cavort and commit more crime..don't blame the cops whose hands are tied, and they are not there to babysit...lobby your MP and get TRUDEAUS soft on crime changed, do your part instead of complaining about the police
I'm so sorry , This is one of the many reasons we need to get rid of liberals and NDP coalition, it boils my blood to hear global News call these people victims it boils my blood to hear them say that this was a business it was not a business it was a scam and it seems to be a certain targeted race of people a certain country that does this and we need to stop it, it is not racist to say so if we are not allowed to speak facts then there goes everything
It's so true that first legal system fails then the justice system. There are people out their associated with real estate and mortgage who has scammed lot of people with their lifesavings and brought them to the street.
Feel sorry for the guy who lost his life savings. Not sorry for the scammers. Can't spend anymore money from real hard working Canadians. Shame on them.
Keep messing with people ability to live and you'll face the wrath of any man trying to provide for his family! It may not be a popular stance but i dont blame the man when the system is designed to protect the guys stealing your money the court will never get back for you!! Also they take your money how are you going to get a lawyer to fight back? If you can afford a mortgage you cant get legal aid, to Sue if you lose you got to pay fees and possible damages, police cant do anything because they enforce the law and the law says its a civil litigation matter, you and your family are about to be homeless and hungry what do you do?? Not saying this was the reason but it is definitely a scenario that plays out all across Canada - the killings
When you commit fraud on good people, you break a cycle of bulit up trust in a human, no one deserves to have that done to them, especially in these troubling times, I wish human nature wasn't so rooted in evil for the love of money.
Arash Missaghi, Samira and his lawyer who left the country were embezzling ppl for 18 yrs...the courts did nothing, even dismissed a case against him in 2021.. They embezzled $100 million over the years..hope they saved some for their expensive funeral.
Wow, the extreme pain for 1 split second having your head blown off doesn't compare to what Alan Katz and his wife suffered. Absolutely ZERO sympathy for the two pathetic gangsters. Bet they won't be doing that again. Wherever there's a beginning in cheating a hard working man of all his life saving, there is 100% gonna be a price to pay for taking ALL HIS MONEY! Rip Alan
Let this be a warning to all fraudsters, there is a lot of them out there, and you can guess what their ethnic background was, not surprising. Our community has been dealing with a Dutch farmer that has been vandalizing and damaging people's property in order to gain more acreage and few people already expressed thoughts of taking the matters into their own hands.
@@vangroover1903 I am not saying it's the way to go, but when authorities aren't doing much about it, people don't have much choice, and simply rolling over and allowing to be bullied isn't exactly a solution.
I complained about fraud before to the cops and got two different versions from two different cops. The first was "Fraud is a civil matter". The second was "We don't have the manpower to investigate fraud. We only investigate assaults".
@@ralphkilloran8065 That is a civil matter. When you loan property to someone there's an implied contract that they will return it. If they fail to do so they are in breach of contract. The way to deal with the issue is to to take them to court. The police only get involved if there's a court order that needs to be inforced. For example if the judge orders the immediate return of your property the police would accompany you to ensure your rifles were returned.
@@ralphkilloran8065 two rifles but never returned.....so you prove my point that criminals get their guns from the supply of legal guns so legal gun owners shouldn't have the privilege of owning guns. You made our society a little more dangerous. You prove criminals get guns from legal gun owners.
@@Dot-he2ke CityNews channel needs to check their audio output options and switch from mono to stereo. Mono audio is often the culprit of sound coming only from one speaker when earphones and headphones are used.
The family of the accused likely reaped the benefits of their behaviour. The compassion for the ones who mourn is limited. people should hold their family and others accountable prior to a tragedy.
@@jvssocialmedia2459 True, but Arash had so many friends and family under whose name he put various properties... He also cautioned anyone to dare steal from him, they will simply disappear...he called himself Al Capone... The wife of Alan Katz was one of the plaintiffs on the lawsuit filed...let's see if the justice system will grant her a day in court...Trudy was able to freeze bank accounts from the truckers convoy, why couldn't they freeze Arash Missaghi bank accounts?
City News Tell the facts about the shooting the Day Care has nothing to do with the incident and were never in danger just another mortgage scam ruining a familys life
Castle Doctrine/Law needs to be brought to Canada too. Cops or justice system can't do anything about criminals breaking into your home. Only the home owner can do anything.
your savings and possessions have no value under Canadian law. It is actually against the law to defend you possessions. If somebody is trying to steal something you can't get physical with them.
Yep, and one of the victims Arash Missaghi was charged with $17 million mortgage fraud embezzlement scheme in 2018. Shooter had a lawsuit against Missaghi.
Sorry did I just hear “the shooter is amongst the deceased but we will need to wait to find out if the his shot is self inflicted”.. did they rush this lol
The Canadian justice system is 💯 to blame for this tragedy. Sadly 3 people have lost their lives . Many more will and many have died due to this country's Mickey Mouse and corrupt judicial system. What was once a beautiful and prosperous country is now completely broken.
The people running the property management company were already in Canada when Trudeau was first elected. As for open borders, go to a foreign country and then try coming back without your passport or other ID. Good luck with that.
@Brinn-yw4dy Global migration was signed by Justin in 2019. Harper signed the other. This is a creeping multi part contract that's been in the works for decades. Things like this cannot be done all at once. Go listen to Johnny Cash "One Piece at a Time".
Yet resources are wasted on the HRT. If you get a bad grade you can accuse your professor of being a racist, and taxpayers get to pay for your false accusations (no legal fees for the liar) and a fishing expedition to see if the wrongly accused had ever said anything which could be twisted to look like being racist.
Scammers, stop scamming is the message here! The scammers might get someone that will do this kind of act if crossed and not given any answers or information as to why it happen. Think most scammers will think otherwise when dealing when the gig is up instead of hiding behind the law.... just return the money.
There is a scam going on now as we speak, husband and wife lawyers in Toronto scammed ppl out of $6 million....husband lawyer claiming duh, just don't know where the $6 million went.
All of them crooked police come fi killed him but they would tell him they cannot do nothing of the evil those evil souls did to that man and his family..
Try to live a life where when someone murders you, there isnt an outpouring of sympathy for the murderer... Man did in one day what in 10 years police couldn't...
@@mikeroberts308exactly…… They’d already be a manhunt nationwide….. Seeing that that didn’t release the suspects name or race 90% he’s black (or a deeper shade of brown).
yeah...without gun laws we would see a lot more of this type of thing. Just look to the south of us where mass shootings happen almost daily and this type of thing is a regular occurrence.
@@NeilTheKnifeGuy 1- there are lots of examples of criminals that bought their gun legally 2- criminals don't need to buy them legally. Gun owners buy them legally then criminals obtain them from the gun owners 3- laws do work. If they didn't we would see more of this type of thing. Just look to the south of us. Mass shooting pretty much every day. 4- your logic is flawed. We still have car accidents and drug overdoses also. So you think we should just get rid of all traffic and drug laws because by your logic "they aren't working"? Typical ignorant gun whack job.
I am not wrong. There are many examples of criminals that have obtained their guns legally. And those that don't they get them from the supply that legal gun owners hold. The laws are not BS. Without laws our country could be like the US that sees a mass shooting almost daily and hundreds die every day from a gun. We also still have car accidents and drug overdoses so by your logic should we just get rid of all traffic and drug laws also because by your logic "they just aren't working"?
@@pacman3556 If it isn't the spreader of misinformation! Where have you been pacman? Did mummy let you use the internet again? Since there are plenty of examples of legally obtained guns used in crimes it shouldn't be too hard for you to cite 10 Canadian examples then
We see what happens when you take away a homeless person's home, they get a box, tent do what they can to survive and prey for strength to not commit crimes for food. Homeless Addicts need help addiction centres hospitals, not all drugs made legal Trudeau.
