"Look at this. We could have built a new Kypton in this squalor. But you chose the humans over us. I exist, only to protect Krypton. That is the sole purpose for which I was born. And every action I take - no matter how violent, or how cruel - is for the greater good, of my people. *And now, I have no people...*"
Zod's position is logical and makes a good deal of sense. It's Superman's position - siding with an alien race over his own people, which is strange...
"they forgot to show Clark's regard for just any living life earlier" - saves crewmen on burning oil rig - saves bus full of drowning children as a kid - saves mother from Zod and crew - tells civilians to get out of harm's way during Smallville battle - saves Colonel Hardy - destroys world machine, then flies back around the world and saves Lois lolwut?
@@LifeintheBC because Superman can't fucking save everyone, i dont understand this logic that a hero should always save everyone. Thats not how it works, Superman is the strongest character and him not being able to save all of them despite his power adds more to his character and the hard job he does.
I agree with u. However I personally think we should have seen a little more saving when he bassicly destroyed huge parts of metropolis. This sleight change could have left an extra feeling of him caring about lives.
What I love about this score is, it isn't an upbeat song. It's so melancholy, sad, and tragic, because that's literally what's happening in the scene. So much death and destruction, and so much desperation you can feel from Kal.
God, this whole fight sequence was so epic with the score and visuals. Two Kryptonians battling amongst the skyscrapers of Metropolis shown as it should have been shown. Larger than life, apocalyptic, deadly, and violent. Best fight scene in a superhero movie next to the Smallville fight earlier in the movie IMO.
xxlCortez Yes, do you think Jor-el wasn't training himself knowing full well he was having a son born against the law of his society in secret? He clearly trained himself and prepared, and then you had a fight between someone who underestimated Jor-el as a weak scientist (Zod) and a father protecting his family (Jor-el) logic
gamesandstuffs That's just your opinion, there wasn't any hint he actually did this. If we going by logic, Zod should have kick Kal-El's ass, since he had more military experience Kal-El could ever achieve by self-training. As Zod said: Where did you train? On a farm?
Poor Kal, he was the one that truly had to end it all and kill the last of his kind. He's all that's left of his world, he's completely alone. It's moments exactly like this scene and the one of the 10th Doctor holding the dying Master in his hands that hits me right in the feels. With musical geniuses like Hans Zimmer and Murray Gold, things like this become truly unforgettable.
@@thatonerotom8999 no, they were sent to another side of the galaxy & they didn't have their helmets on so they surely died, the phantom zone projector was destroyed when krypton exploded freeing the black zero ship that held Zod & co.
Here is where you can apply "The Zimmer Effect" on Avengers: Age of Ultron... Play this right after Iron Man says "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose" during the final battle... Holy shit...fucking epic
MCU really really really lacks of good soundtracks. There are just a few remarkable ones such as the Avengers theme... but can you imagine an MCU film with Hans music? Wow
@@sinnombre3770 pues si we no manches, siempre que veo una película no solo veo los efectos especiales, también disfruto de su música. Y las pelis de DC en mi opinión, son una obra de arte, pero en mi opinión, mi opinión no es la verdad absoluta.
this is like a blend of all the greatest hanz zimer soundtrack!!! and this movie perhaps will be the greatest movie of our generation... never have witnessed such an amazing and epic story unfold before my eyes!!
And here im sitting four years after the movie came out with my superman trainingsuite never though i would ever say i love superman so much love him so much!!!
This Part This Part Was So Heart Breaking Zod- if you love these peoeple Superman - please no!!! it was so breathtaking so heart breaking THIS IS THE BEST SUPERMAN HERO MOVIE EVER , THE BEST MOVIE OF SUPERHERO I MEAN
Zod has no faults! He was designed to be a warrior and to protect Krypton at all cost. He can't even determine his fate. That is why I feel bad for him
This soundtrack really makes you feel like this fight is gonna determine the fate of the entire world. In reality it did...If Zod killed Kal he would have probably enslaved the entire human race.Great work as always by Hanz Zimmer
Actually zod is as equal as superman and he was at the brink of losing .. unless zod removed his armour. i explained this to everyone but still haters do hate this movie.
I think it was the way he was killed. Zod falls into some ice pit in Superman 2, but in Man of Steel he brutally snaps his neck while yelling savagely. The stark, harsh nature of the death was what pissed alot of fans off.
"If you love these people then... play an 80's power balled while we fly" Tremendous cinematic experience MoS loving peoples of the earth, just a jokey observation, by all means carry on and don't be put off... being a superhero is still the safest way to travel.
Greed has poisoned men’s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.
His reasons aren't dumb. That bat on his chest is a symbol to Gotham. Imagine he'd kill the Joker. After that he would see no reason not to kill other villains as well. As he keeps on killing, that symbol is worth less and less and less. And eventually, Batman will cease to exist, causing Gotham to return to the pitiful state it was in before Batman. Not only that, but Batman would now be a villain. "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." -Harvey Dent
After I started listening to Soundtracks....my whole music persona has changed. In early years I was a hindi songs lover. But after I was introduced to 60's and 70's pop culture music and Hans Zimmer soundtracks...life became more meaningful. Now todays hindi music makes me puke. Hans Zimmer is responsible for my new musical taste. I always say, you can judge a person, by their music taste. Depending upon what kind of music they listen to.....you can see their inner self.
Missing kneecap was wierd but it's a sci-fi movie. His spine wasn't broken and he had few months to restore. And I never get what's the problem with getting to Gotham: he had connection among smuglers and he's Batman! He's able to infiltrate any place! In TDK Joker just gets fully armed to a mob meeting, he somehow is able to plant bombs all around the city, he can see the future (he's plan with Rachel and Dent...) and why Batman didn't caught the Joker during the party?! He could get back up!
It would be really cool listen to this while Clark put his black suit and start flying across the world, like warning to all the people that he's back, and he will fight for them.
