It's also worth pointing out that once a fragrance is on you, it can smell different to what it smelled like on a sample card. There are a couple Ive absolutely loved as I carry the card around all day, but on me, not so much.
I’ve been wearing Chanel Coco Mademoiselle for over 15 years. But it exploded so much in popularity that instead of compliments I get comments from other women recognizing the perfume and saying it’s their signature scent too. I smell it so often in other women now that the smell went from sophisticated to comercial in my mind. I’ve been looking for something more unique for a new signature scent but having a hard time falling in love with a new perfume.
It's sad and kind of pathetic that you would stop wearing a perfume you like just because other people wear it, and it's pretty popular. Think for yourself, don't let other people dictate how you live your life. Don't worry, as you get older you become less insecure about yourself and stop feeling the need to prove that you're so edgy and 'not like all the other girls' (cringe), which ironically is how all the other girls think as well. It's the best part of aging.
@@theshadowfax239 well, you clearly care about what other people think if you’re watching videos about perfumes that men like 😉 An interesting thing about aging is that it doesn’t necessarily brings wisdom and grace, as you display so well by calling pathetic someone that you don’t even know simply for having an opinion that you disagree with. Have a wonderful week, ma’am.
This video is showcasing the "intense" version which is quite different although similar. In fact, I have always been indifferent to the original but I like the intense very much. (*Oh, and btw, I understood your comment - over time one can smell something so often it looses its charm and I don't know that I would want to smell like everyone else either. Please ignore some of the reply comments by those who think they need to lecture you. You should feel free to express yourself - especially about perfumes - ONWARD! To the joy of perfumes!)
Your husband & you make SUCH a good-looking couple!! And also this shade of pink is STUNNING on you! 😍 You look even more beautiful, than usual. “No I am not sorry, I am happily married!” Love your husband’s energy 😂
Body chemistry changes perfume so much, it's hard to say what you like based on a card. My sister and a friend tried Obsession. On the friend, it was intoxicating. On my sister, it smelled like Play-Doh. I get migraines from many perfumes, so finding one that both smells good on me yet doesn't trigger pain is laborious. It's fun to watch these two testing what I can't 😊
I would say that it also depends on whether or not the guy is knowledgeable in perfumery or not. For example, my husband used to like only cheap, girly scents, up until two years ago, when I started diving deep into fragrances and I bought and tested hundreds of perfumes. He smelled them all as well and now his nose is completely different! He enjoys much more interesting notes and fragrances, whereas two years ago, when I gave him Oud Satin Mood to smell, he hated it (just an example, I have many more examples 😅). So, if you know your man is a normal guy, maybe stick with normal, designer perfumes, but if he’s a bit more knowledgable, niche is the way!
Agreed 👍 I collect fragrances niche and designer and I always have him rate 1 to 10 being the best and you couldn't be more right after so long the ones he use to love became boring ❤ this is why I'm so fascinated with fragrances.
Yes, but not every man will like the exact same scents and dislike the exact same scents. Guys noses are just as individually unique as women's noses are. What one guy will absolutely love, another guy will turn away and shudder. if you are only wanting to please your partner, then using a scent that does appeal to them alone, is fine. But if you are wanting to go out and attract a guy for whatever reason, hoping that your scent will assist you to grab their attention, then you need to find which perfumes appeal to a whole wide variety of many, MANY men. Not just the opinion of this guy in the video, who (nothing personal) cannot speak for the majority of men out there in general.
My husband is very scent driven and he loves to treat me to a new scent (or two) periodically. We usually go out for a date and have fun sampling fragrances together. Its very sweet and fun. This video named a couple I'm less familiar but would like to try. Thanks!
Paradoxe is gorgeous. My mademoiselle intense was dropped and shattered, i cried 😭,i bought yesterday the Regular Mademoiselle, just as beautiful. Today YSL le parfum will join my little perfume army.
I have the Black Opium and I honestly love it so much even in the really hot weather (I live in a tropical island) at night It stands out so much, I also love the Olympéa I always have lots of compliments when I wear them and also gives me lots of confidence to be in my feminine energy. During the day I usually wear Kenzo World and it always turns heads too. Love your perfume reviews
Ok you know we love these videos! We need them! Men’s reactions are so powerful for insight and please make one at least once a month! That’s my suggestion 🥰😌
Exactly this- it’s actually so unfortunate because I was in love with the Gucci Flora line, but when I trialed it on my skin, oh my days it transformed into this terrible smell of chemicals and sewer 💓😭🙏 i swear i don’t smell like a sewer normally haha !!!
With the Dior Poison range, unfortunately they have discontinued the best of the lot - Midnight Poison. Such a unique fragrance. Not suitable for everyday wear but it's one of those rare evening scents that make you feel luxurious even if you're wearing jeans and a T-shirt.
YEEEES, every time I used it people would ask to smell me/hug me again, men specially wanted to clue themselves to my neck... I still have the bottle as a reminder of the smell and to this day am looking for a perfume like that, that I can't stop smelling it
I'm surprised how much you both love Prada paradoxe! Because it has white flowers and has been compared to the awful Armani my way. Your husband is so handsome -- he has a Slavic look. I'm glad that he loves eau duelle -- he has great taste in fragrances, too ☺️ great video guys 🙌🏻
Zona przepiekna! Pozdrawiam z Chin!
Currently, the one that literally killed my socks off is Amouage Portrayal woman. OMGGGG...i bought a decant and in 2 days ordered a 100 ml bottle. Jeez, that gives a confidennce that is hard to imagine. Lovely video
I am sorry you lost your sense of smell. I did, too, after COVID went through me, but I got/gained it back. There are some videos on YT you can look up if you haven’t already. Good luck, I hope it helps!❤
I was in Oxford Street yesterday waiting for the bus and the lady next to me smelt amazing She was wearing Dior Joy. I got home and ordered the intense version 🙈
First time here. I always enjoy getting other women's opinions but, I have to admit I love that you have also included your man's opinion. After all, I most enjoy a man's opinion on perfumes. Thank you both. It's been fun.
I wear Paradoxe a lot in the evening especially in cooler weather. I also love Mon Guerlain. I was going in a restaurant with a friend one day in the summer wearing Mon Guerlain and a guy stopped me and said "is it you that smells so good?". I'll add Narciso Rodriguez For Her( the black bottle). Edit: Gucci Guilty for Her is currently my go to and my fave.
I'm here for the Chanel Mademoiselle 🙋🏻♀️ Is my signature scent for the past 15 years although I am always going for the Original version rather than the Intense one 😍
The only fragrance that has ever made me roar like Matty was Armani Code for Woman 🤣 OMG that was such a sexy scent, and still is! Lately I have tried a few at the store and some of my favorites are Black Opium (pink center dot) , Libre EDP intense, Chanel Au Tendre and Yara Lattafa. Thanks for the great video Monika and Matty, it was very fun to watch! Cheers
I douse myself in Libre Le Parfum whenever I go to Sephora. Probably my fave of the 4 versions. Its definitely a night fragrance though. Way too intense for hot summer days
Loved this! But I must say that you’re not supposed to wear these fragrances to please anyone but yourself. Wear whatever fragrance that sparks joy and confidence for you.
@@cookie_dough_hangover I didn't expect such a quick response !!Thank you sooo much 😊😊 Does this fragrance still have the same effect on you and those around you?
Nicely done! One request, can you describe what feelings are invoked and what category of scent each falls into? Such as: OOUTDOORSY: -Crisp Mountains. -Beach Air. -Woodsy. -Desert. -Green Meadow. -Fresh Citrusy. -Warm Floral. -Bright Floral. -Peppery, Fall. OTHER: Powdery. Cotton Fresh. Rough Linen. Clean. Out of the Dryer, Calm. Bakery, Sweet. Warm, Spicey. Sultry, Musky. Etc. You fully describe some but not all. This video is a big help for those of us who are triggered by some scents (creates migraines) which makes it difficult to go to a perfumery and shop. Nice, pleasant to watch video. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for your time.
I just got ysl libre le parfum. It’s so beautiful. I’ve been loving my sample of pas ce soir, but I agree with his assessment. I’m going to need to check coco mad intense. I live in Florida so I’m always looking for scents that work in the heat. ❤❤
I live in a sub tropical climate and have had endless compliments from men when I wear My Way in the evening all year round except winter, plus it's nice during the day in Autumn/fall and early spring. It is strong ( I have the intense), but don't over spray and it's gorgeous.
My mom’s first niche perfume is Diptyque eau duelle, I LOVE IT for me but It’s my birthday gift for her, at first she said It’s too much for her until a few days later she kept wearing it HAHAHHAAHAHA. She loved it so much now and I love that It’s her signature scent now. And take note ALL of her co-workers loved it and wants to own one too 😂
Would love 😢 know the notes that stand out to you (honey, pear, lavender etc), so maybe more than one sentence next time pweeeeze? Thank you for your honest reactions!
Interesting conclusion. I live in France and my signature fragrance was always Jil Sanders N°4, but that was discontinued 15 years ago, (I bought up everything I could find at Selfridges!) So, I use Nuxe Prodigieux instead. But I will try your suggestions. We are all so different and even though Chanel N°5 was lovely in my 20s, now it smells to me like a cat's litter box. Man killer but not in a GOOD way! 😅
I SO agreed with him about the perfumes I know! Especially Dior Addict 😂 never understood the hype. But Mon Guerlain is actually lovely and not that banal.
Few years ago, my boss and I were working with ( mental health clients). It was a week befor Christmas, he asked me what kind of perfume I was wearing. In response, I said, " oh no, did my perfume back fire". He laughed and said " I want to buy a bottle of it for Christmas for my wife". It was red door, one of my favorites.
🤔Honestly…. His nose was spot on with some of these fragrances that I have smelled or worn myself. Even for the ones he didn’t like so much, for the fact when I smelt them…I thought the same thing…..I feel like I can trust his nose. Especially for a 2-3 that I haven’t tried that were mentioned on this video… thanks for sharing!!!😉
