Super appreciative that he apologized for the nonsense. Someone got to his head and JJ clarified why it was stupid and he took ownership. That’s respectable.
At first I thought the plaintiff was petty, but once she listed off all the stuff of his she kept i understood why he was suing her! She should have just given him his stuff smh
She's quite a piece of work to have taken all of his stuff from him and to then evict him from the home after their relationship ended without returning those items as well. smh
??? You’re seriously going to judge them without knowing anything whatsoever about the relationship? For all you know, she set up multiple appointments and he never showed up, or he specifically told her to keep everything. You sound like somebody that watches CNN and believes it.
I remember breaking up with my last ex. And I left all his stuff neatly folded in a box in my apartment. He came by when he had a moment and I was at work grabbed it and left my key with the neighbor. So simple.
This is why you shouldn’t play house or move in with anyone you have not been with for a long time or not married . The courts don’t want to hear all that relationship mess once you break up .
@@merryhineline7781 JJ has always been filmed in California, so I’m not sure where you’re getting NY law. Also, that isn’t true anyway. She follows the law of the state the person is from. It has literally never changed from that. Ever.
@@user-pt1cz4ot1e Both wrong. She follows her own personal code called Judy Justice. There's a recent-ish podcast where Byrd and one of the early producers say that she was asked during the show's development if she was going to follow New York or California and she said neither, she was going to use Judy Justice.
Another out of touch moment for JJ. Maybe he was gathering info, trying to get his stuff back, etc., before filing a case? Most people don’t run from the eviction straight into a court house to file.
Technically he’s right. After you’ve been staying in a home after a certain amount of time whether their on the lease or not you still have to serve them an eviction, and I know this because I had to do that with my babydaddy 🌚
That probably depends on jurisdiction . We have a residential tenancy act where I live that governs that. And it doesn't apply to common-law or relationships. It's very costly for a govenemt to litigate couples that aren't married or common-law and have broken up.
Baby daddy get a husband. You don't shack up with people and create children. That's why the courts don't give you any rights living with someone. It's your own fault for shacking up.
You laugh, but in a lot of states it was an illegal eviction. If someone lives somewhere, no matter the circumstances, they must be legally evicted. Their state doesn’t, apparently.
It's his things, so yes. Women aren't automatically entitled to men's things because they have ladyparts. That's the crap the world has taught women that they can play victim and get away with everything. She's not his wife so yes, he's entitled to his belongings.
I’ve definitely got a comment this one more time. Those eviction laws depend on the state. JJ is following the laws of their state. If your state has a different laws, and you kick your significant other out after they’ve been living there, you can be sued for illegal eviction. Stop thinking whatever is said on the show is legal everywhere. That’s a very stupid way to think.
Depends on the state. CA protects people in this situation. I think Texas, where the defendant is from, also protects people in similar situations. It’s ridiculous and abused all the time.
She doesn't have to follow any state or federal laws. It's arbitration. She follows her own personal code that she calls "Judy Justice" (seriously). She's not kidding when she says it's her playpen.
As a fellow gentleman from the south I love his Texan accent. It’s very clear he’s from Texas. Not Arkansas not Alabama not Tennessee. That right there ladies and gents is a Texan full bred through and through 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Within the first 2 min 30 sec mark it almost could be just J. Judy talking to talking to Tiger Wood's most recent ex gf. You were just a gf, you weren't a tenant!
This is one case where Judge Judy is actually wrong, because if you establish residency somewhere regardless whether you have a lease or not you have to be evicted? football states that if you are receiving mail at a residence that it is your legal resident and that you have actually established residency there! Can you not have to be evicted
So let me get this straight. He lived with his ex at HER house, she told him to leave, and he expected an eviction notice and he’s suing her for that??? 😂😂😂😂😫😫😫😫😫😫😫 good bye, sir
I have never understood why someone would keep an ex stuff why would you want to keep stuff from a relationship does not work out what's the point of that to hung on to memories??? Thats just creepy and childish
Judge Judy can be quite the hypocrite. I've seem many episodes when she's stated "If your socks are there, you're there" - meaning if a person has even one personal possession in a home, they are to be considered as living there.
Wait..... But the judge is wrong? If he lived there 30+ days, recievef mail, paid any expense at all towards the house... He deserves a legal process/timeline for eviction.
I think it’s more of the point of him living at his Gf’s house and now they’ve broken up…not like they mutually moved into a place together, but Gf bought a house and he moved in with her, so trying to go after her about an eviction is similar to calling a gift a loan. With that said, I can’t believe kept all of his stuff.
The spiritual world is more real than people think, it’s more real than this natural world you live in. The same people you laugh at and mock will be the same people you go to for answers one day, mark my words. When people are living out their assignment, chose their purpose over society standards and chose to answer to the call to bring balance to the world don’t mess with those people. Those are the ones who God don’t play about. What they are doing is beyond your comprehension and they are divinely protected rather you believe it or not. Warning always comes before destruction, don’t go out as a cool fool.
But it baffles me all the time why JJ wants to intimidate some plaintiffs. I mean the guy already has a full list but she chooses to get the info from defendant preventing the plaintiff to just submit a list which she can cross items against .. She's just aging n not thinking clearly..😢
