I am practically blind myself, I wear glasses, I can't take these crystal lenses for granted because glasses are expensive. If I broke them then I would be distraught, I wouldn't be able to see for weeks until I get the money for the next pair of glasses then I need to wait for them to be made. And you probably do, you don't realize that some people can't see certain colours or shapes without difficulty, do you ever openly say "I am so grateful for my eyes." I openly admire that these crystals help my vision, so I don't take my glasses for granted.

I had an operation to remove two heavy cataracts about 5 weeks ago, so totally with this guy. I wasn't blind though that's far more dramatic

I had cataracts as well, had them removed in my early 30s. I could barely see before. I can't imagine not being able to see at all. Just having my cataracts removed was enough to move me to tears, but restoring sight completely is miraculous.

Plasma Skull I'm not doubting you but from experience, he probably doesn't have 20/20 vision. When people get near sidedness corrected it usually takes a couple days for their vision to completely return. I have a feeling his vision is still partially blurry but maybe it'll clear up in time or they might have to prescribe him corrective glasses. When they did the short one finger two finger test, although he saw correctly it still may be fuzzy. But there is a possibility that you're correct, and I agree is would be weird/awesome to get your vision back after a long time. It's amazing that some people get to experience that!
