Sitting in prison for life kinda worse depending on how u take it would u rather immediately die or rot in a prison for the remainder of your existence
Uh it really doesn't matter how many victim's you have A LOT of Men & WOMEN have been Executed for murdering only 1 victim...There are A LOT MORE Men & Women sitting on Death Row or died on it who murdered only 1 victim..
The Patel family opposed Young's death sentence and refused to attend his execution... The victim's son, Mitesh, even spent time with Young the day before his execution. Mitesh said his family was more concerned about Young's family, and especially his daughter -- “being a father myself, and having lost a father, I don’t want someone to go through life without a father.” Mitesh also said, “I feel sadness for his family. They’re going to be walking down the same path my family has been on the last 14 years.” Whatever your views may be about the death penalty and its propriety in this case, you can't help but be inspired by the Patel family's strength and compassion.
Unfortunately, there is great tension/division between the Indian and black community; so I don’t think we will hear much about the Patel family’s strength or suffering. Thank you for sharing

I seen this before but it really hits hard to me right now. I used to break the law when I was young. Mostly drugs. Nothing violent. But I decided about 12 years ago to change my life. I became homeless and a Christian family that didn't even know me took me in. I got a job making minimum wage. I took night classes and got my GED. I paid off my multiple suspensions and got my license. I saved and got a car. I got a way better paying job. I got my own place. And thru it all I worked hard and prayed. But 3 years ago the police bust into my place and arrested me on a serious charge. I didn't know what was going on. I finally got a bond. And when I got out I figured out what really happened and long story short. A police officer lied on me. I lost my job and place but I got my job back. But I go to court in a few days facing the rest of my natural life. And all I try to do is be a better person than I was the day before. Not just for myself, but for my family and my community as well. Life really isn't fair. And bad things happen to good people. And just because someone is "bad" doesn't mean they can't change for the better. Now I have bad PTSD from my time in jail. I get so depressed that I might just start crying outta nowhere. I think about suicide. The only thing that gives me faith is the hope that God didn't bring me thru so much for my life to end in a prison cell
It's not if u have committed you r life to Jesus and repent led to him he can pardon and allow u in heaven but the problem comes when pride goes before u and u justify what u did instead of a sincere remoseful break down !
Back then, he did something that went too far that could never be paid back...However, I saw a rehabilitated man in that interview. He could of actually been put to better use to help the community along further. One day I hope all prisoners get the proper rehab they need to grow.
Not murders why should they get a second chance the person they killed doesn't. Imagine being so naive you believe what a criminal says. Would you want a dude who raped a woman to help women in your community. 🤡
It's impossible in these modern days Governments - Capitalism wouldn't work if everyone was confident but the lack of self esteem is what makes people spend more & more money trying to impress the next
@@melissamunoz1262 No, he got justice. He got a chance to prepare himself, and talk to his family. You know, all that stuff his victim didn't. And he was still lying. He said he just went to see the guy about an argument he had with his girlfriend, but because he was drunk, it accidentally turned into a robbery! So he accidentally took a gun with him to go talk in the first place?? What a bunch of crap!1 Good riddance, and God bless Texas!
I remember this and was shocked he was executed. He was one of the inmates who actually used the system properly by rehabilitating himself. He mentored young kids too.
Why deny the family of the victim the justice they deserve? No one forced him to commit this murder. Of course I bet a good bit of people on death row aren’t irredeemable in the eyes of God, but still, I think the ultimate say should belong to the families of victims whether they forgive or not.

You know it’s crazy we’re watching this man talking and moving and he isn’t alive anymore, it’s sad how calm and collected he is because he knows this is his end and he has accepted it
He's more alive then he has ever been if he accepted Christ's love and payment for his wrongs. It sounds as though he did. That's why there is no fear. He's had a long time (almost 14 years) to make peace with it. Of course if he was just minding his business while locked up and the guards said "oh by the way we're deciding to execute you in 24 hours" he wouldn't be laughing or smiling. He definitely be freaking out like you.

Ned Bass She won’t get nothing some how they will take the blame off of her and put it on the black man she killed and say she feared for her life they do it all the time especially if he is a Hispanic or black man.
The Senate not true. Also whites make up 63 percent of the us population, so if they are tied on execution rates, it still means people of color are more likely to get executed based off the population, so you kinda just went against your own belief lmao. Your not helping your case.
I feel sorry for the person he killed and all who were effected as a result & I also feel sorry for this man & all who love/d him too. yeah getting drunk and high doesn't explain away such a horrific act. Its bad enough robbing someone at gunpoint, but to murder them as well... what's most revolting about this is that its this murderer's voice that people get to hear, and not that of the innocent man he murdered or their families that still have to live without the loved one he deprived them of.
These sympathy sheep always swallow the words of criminals. Every society glorifies outlaws. Some cultures even pray & worship dead gangsters. But you'd faint knowing how many ppl propose matrimony to convicts .
To be honest I usually have no sympathy for people to commit such crimes especially to innocent people but I do believe people change, not all but some.. In this case I believe if he were given a second chance he would make the most of it in the right way.

That's crazy to think that he knew that he was going to die within 24-hours. Like we all go today thinking that we're going to live 50 years or so.. yet his time was CERTAIN to come to an end. We are all on "death row." Death will take each of us, one way or another. That means we must use the time of our lives on this earth to do positive things before our time is up.
@@truthseeker3857 Tragic why? Atleast they can prepare properly and not have some other person do it for them. (not advocating for suicide here dont kill urself)
For those who are not educated on the subject of death penalties here you go: It depends on the state. That's a European telling you this. Don't matter if he white or black or how many people the person killed. The state issues the penalties.
Crazy thing is you can tell he's not all the way malicious it all started from a protective instinct for his girlfriend and drunkness and anger took the front seat. It's scary because a moment of misjudgement can determine a whole future. But his death wasn't in vain because it sets an example of think before you act on such a deep level
It says that everything is random and we try to organize it. Hopeless, pointless endeavour, but it makes the human animal feel important or useful or fulfilled in some other way. Bring on the heat death of the universe!
A death penalty needs absolute %100 proof to convict. And if they don't convict then they go free. Life sentences are a little easier to convict. Example: Casey Anthony trial. She's free because it's hard to convince a jury to kill someone but not as hard to put them in prison a d they die on their own.
