I love this story and I'm glad you've included in the Victorian Compilation of Ghost Stories. So, I've actually listened to this story both ways since yesterday. However, I've heard several times before. My only complaint is that the writer did not include any comments by the Irish Doc upon finding the wife passed. The doctor had chastised her husband so severely that I'd loved to see his explanation of the marble broken finger. Who's the "c○ward"?? I am going to become a member around 3rd of November. Got try to support my favorite narrators and writer's!!
What a reckless man. While I don't particularly believe in the supernatural having lived in various places around the world I make sure to respect local superstitions, just in case.
