The trouble with rigids by and large unless you are talking specially specced for certain work, is that they are all bar a few under powered with few driver comforts. Having said that when I was on farm collection driving a milk tanker I had a Foden 6×4 double drive with a Cummings 420, Jacobs Brake, Eminox stack, she used to roar on that jake brake. Pulled like a train and would go anywhere.🚂🚜

You right bout the wait for new trucks, have an 8 x 4 Volvo mixer ordered which I won’t get til next year. Semiconductor issue affecting production for a lot of manufacturers as well as the covid challenges and increased demand!

Let me tell one thing about that floor: If you run at -25 and there is a bit of water, there ain't no stooping the ice from forming and the floor is not gonna grip your soles . How do I know, well I run one of these every day and more often then not I run one with 3 chambers/ 3 climate zones, no diesel cooling but Frigoblock electric refer-block would be totally awesome if my company(Nagel Group) would get the extended cab versions, no bunk but a bit deeper

I'm a rigid truck driver but I've only ever driven Japanese trucks like Isuzu, Mitsubishi and Fuso mostly in harsh conditions. I wonder how an MAN rigid would perform under extreme conditions compared to a Japanese rigid. Have you reviewed any Japanese truck?

Do you mean that you actually like the hill hold feature I personally hate it. I usually step a little harder on the brake just before I drive away, which means that the brakes hold on just in time for the clutch to take over.

Automatic gearbox it’s just for sissy drivers...I will never be ok with that...Manual gearbox for life ☝️And trust me,there’s no slower gearbox box then the one in 98-2005 ish Mercedes,that was the most stupid and most annoying one of all times,specially when very heavy and on hills
