Man THROWN from Boat going FULL Speed

My cameras caught an angler being ejected from a passing bass boat while fishing on Lake Seminole. As you can see in the video, the unoccupied boat was stuck at full throttle and doing circles, posing a real danger for anyone nearby. We called 911 and the emergency response team came to assist us.

Dude I get it, I fish night tournaments here in Georgia and witnessed a crash at night that killed two people, It was horrific and traumatizing. We heard the collision and were the first people on scene, it was graphic as hell and absolutely horrible/devastating to see what exactly happened. It was the equivalent to a t-bone car crash, so the people that got hit on the side never stood a chance because there was literally nothing to protect them, both people literally took the front end of a bass boat to the head and neck area, the driver was not recognizable, I mean he practically didn't have anything left above the shoulder and the passenger wasn't much better off, you could tell instantly his neck was broke. I mean it was so bad that it was nighttime and the water was stained red if that tells you anything.

This is a good lesson for new boaters and complacent boaters. 2 things are mandatory when the boat is under power: 1) life jackets on. 2) Driver is wearing the kill switch lanyard. Nothing bad comes from doing these 2 things.

I was on the edge of my seat throughout this video! I am a boat owner of a fast Barefoot Sanger ski boat. My husband bought a new throttle control with a lanyard safety shut-off tether. I wear it religiously because of a fear of this very thing happening or being ejected from hitting something submerged. I would have tossed out my fenders with line attached or the empty bottles I keep on board to mark logs floating to try to foul the prop before the boat hit somebody’s dock. Excellent reason to make the safety shut-off switch tether a state law

My husband rescued a guy who had passed out at the wheel and was circling in the ocean off of Alaska. He took a motorized dinghy and got in the “inner circle” to jump aboard. Coast Guard airlifted the poor guy to hospital with a serious medical condition. 😇 Angels do walk among us and they place average folks “exactly” where they need to be to save lives… Bless you all for stepping up! I think the vast majority of people in this country at least are good. I think where people get the interpretation of everyone being terrible is by looking at things through the lens of the internet where people have anonymity and have a place to be a total asshole. Most all of the things you see out of people on the internet don't reflect how they are in real life as a person.

Sad to say that happened to me and my brother on the San Jacinto river when we were heading toward the Lake Houston Dam. He had the safety ignition release (kill switch) on his wrist. I was at the bow of the boat. At full throttle we hit a submerged log and it instantly broke the steering bar and cracked the lower unit. The whole boat went airborne when we hit the log. We most have done a stunt jump of 20 feet. When the boat came down the bow went into the water and popped up like a cork and I went airborne and so did my brother and the safety ban came off his wrist and did not pull the key out of the ignition. The boat had a full tank of gas. It was a 50HP at full throttle and we ended up in the middle of the San Jacinto River in 50 degrees water and the boat was spinning round us. Both of us can swim but we were afraid the boat was going to hit us. We got rescued just like that guy and the boat spun around in circles until it ran aground on the beach. We were lucky as well.

One of the automatic inflatables, problem was only one side activated. A fella from Georgia on a whim decided to travel to fish the river that day. He’d told my dad that it was strange how he came to fish there being he never had. He felt like God had told him to. I don’t know that gentleman that saved my dad that day. But I often thank him.
