If you're talking @ 4:53 then the way it was edited looks like he left it in the barrel but he actually did put it back in the underbarrel holster. I had to check twice myself, since he doesn't stick it in all the way it looks like it's sticking out the barrel but it's sticking out part way after he shoots as well

Yes, a rifled musket is. They were talking about a smooth bore Brown Bess which is nowhere near accurate as a rifled barrel. It was faster to load but way less accurate than a rifled musket. Without a patch you could literally just drop the ball down the barrel. It was barely even "minute of man" accurate at 100meters with only like a 50% hit rate. It was used more for fast repeated volley fire which it excelled at. Heck it didn't even have actual sights, just a front bead like shotguns.
