I can't lie I would have Szobsozlai in RW when Salah leaves for Afcon. Szobo was playing as a RM/RW type player in RP leipburg when he left. Which frees up space in the midfield allowing for players like Macca, Endo, Gravy, Jones, Elliot, Thiago and Bajetic(once they come back from injury in Jan) to play in mid.
i’d play him and harvey 100% as the RCM and RW, they can both play both positions and depending on the opponent they can just keep swapping based off what’s working better
@@Drizzle8481if you do that than we may aswell put in Ben Doak. Imo Ben Doak is such a great player. Im just giving suggestions, Klopp will probably give Doak and Elliot both a chance on rw in our less important games to see who should replace Salah at Afcon times.
I think one thing that shouldn’t overlooked is Ten Haag saying he’s not gonna play his style at Ajax. That style was the reason why people were excited for him in the first place
The problem is we haven't seen any consistency in his style. We still don't know how this man plays. Liverpool, we know how they play, city we know how they play. And if you want to argue he's only been here for a year and a half, what about Postecoglu - his style seems to be cemented in Spurs now. Ten Hag, forget his style at Ajax, has no style whatsoever at Manchester United
The thing is that Ajax already had that style and it was in their philosophy, so Ten Hag had to go with it. Ajax have always been playing like that. He never played like that at the clubs he was coaching before
Ajax was not his style. That's how they play inherently, Ajax has always been filled with technical ability talents and Ten Haag was I would say lucky with that young generation of players which was quite extraordinary compared to the normal influx of Ajax players in a specific period such as De Jong, De Ligt, Hakimi, Onana etc. In my eyes, Ten Haag is a pure tactical coach, he doesn't give off rebuild manager signs both in terms of personality and his way of handling and developing players which is very questionable. Man Management has been a huge factor in successfully managers that move clubs forward like Ange has done with Son, Vicario, Romero, Van De Ven and how Maddison has been flying. Arteta done it with his management of Saka, Martinelli and Odegaard. Klopp done it with developing players like Trent, Robertson, Firmino, Making the best out of Henderson etc. I'd argue Ten Haag has reduced the quality in what players have been outputting after coming under his management. The club structure and top level has a huge factor in this but so does Ten Haag, he isn't the right man to be tackling this problem.
The thing is other teams seem to play for the manager, city players respect pep and play for him, liverpool players seem like they would die for klopp, arsenal players are buying into what arteta is trying to achieve, Emery, de zerbi are other examples united dont seem to have that.
uniteds transfer strategy has been whatever the coach at that time ahs wanted. They haven't bought players who are strong minded or can play multiple styles, they have counter atatcking players from ole, defensive minded from jose, possession from ten hag. Their squad is full of different types of players and until they commit to one manager, the squad will never be fixed
As a Villa fan, you man need to be giving more respect to us. Do some real due diligence “where’s buendia?” As if he’s somehow dropped off in form…He’s injured with ACL tear. Literally sitting comfortably in 5th right now and can’t be given a good segment 🙃
There's too many flaws in Nico Jackson's game to be considered a good striker, very wasteful, one of the worst on the ball, easily bullied off the ball, and in transition questionable, positioning, movement, all these traits he is below average when it comes to Premier league standards let alone a team like Chelsea. He brings nothing to that attack, people keep mentioning linkup play but that's just not enough, to the point that with or without him we don't look different, nothing changes, if anything we play better without him.
Liverpool miss management of money? What’s Abz on. Missed their main targets. Why rush into buying a random 6. When they can wait for a good fit in January.
Love the recognition for Eddie in this episode, the fact that he continues to step up when Jesus is out is really impressive. I hope he breaks through in the next 18 months and proves he can be a 20 goal per season guy when he hits his prime.
If Ten Hag is not the right coach then who is? We had Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho and Ole who is the nxt victim to our fan base, media, ownership and these players that throw you under the bus
the reason FSG didn’t get a 6 is because they need the perfect player in every signing, we didn’t get a midfielder last year cus the right player wasn’t on the market, why would u spend 10’s of millions on a player just cus they’re the best option out just to not want him a year later. Liverpool had 3 dm target, caicedo, andre and lavia. First we actually wanted andre but he stayed loyal to his team who play in the south american UCL this week, it’s like a 90% chance we get him in january. Then we went for caicedo and then lavia and we saw how that went. We got in endo as a sort of stopgap and the plan for him is to take that milner spot. Originally we were gonna get rid of milner and put hendo in that role but he wanted to leave, u need that experienced player in ur squad, so we assumed the midfielders we had could last us until january cus in football u always have to look long term cus realistically who would we sign in dm that would be better than mac or endo in the last 2/3 days of the window
Why did it take so long to put their balls on the table for caicedo? Why did they take so long to put bids in for lavia only for the bid to be not enough? There are no two ways about it, this team was neglected by FSG and FSG are not good enough to be owners for liverpool. We had a free run at lavia and the incompetence of FSG lost it for us. FSG are unambitious and shouldn't be owners of liverpool.
@@laithsharief23 initially we wanted andre cus we didn’t have the fabinho or henderson money yet, then andre said no and we had an extra 50m so we thought we’d go for that and have lavia as a backup plan. For lavia we thought we could get it done for £40m but they were insistent for £50m, we even offered £43m expecting them to just say ok 45 and it’s a deal cus that would make sense rather than them waiting longer and longer cus surely they’d want to accept £5m lower than they asked for so they could get a replacement in. As for having FSG as owners i agree to some extent that it’s annoying but i just look at teams like chelsea, man u, everton and spurs who all have awful owners, when we sell we’ll roll the dice and we could get saudi money but we could also get something like the glazers, the glazers bought united in a great situation with a great manager. They run the club perfectly apart from the fact they don’t put enough money in and look at united and Chelsea, money doesn’t always mean success u also need to invest in everything else, right now the only arguable positions we need to sign someone in is CB and DM but there’s a 90% chance we get andre in jan so then next summer all we’ll need is a CB and we’ll get one
Faysal brings up the theoretical scenario of having a penalty in the 90th minute in the UCL semifinal/final. What about if Arsenal get into a penalty shootout in the UCL or a cup final/semifinal ? With the way Arsenal are currently dealing with penalties, they will have 4-5 players (Saka, Odegaard, Havertz, Vieira, Martinelli etc.) who will have taken and scored penalties in the recent past (not including guys like Jorginho or Eddie who could take penalties as well), making them more confident in the event that they have to take another one, as they will have the confidence to fall back on (assuming they have scored their last one) in the event they have to take another one. Love the show !
not an insult at all, just a question because i can't seem to figure it out either. why was TH not 'not right for the job' when you were saying he 'changed your life' last yr? i felt the same way; was a huge fan of his attitude and drive and demeanor and was getting very excited for this season after the hints of last season. people were talking about ten Hag ball etc, when we were playing nice, direct, attacking football, were generally solid defensively and winning every game, OT was a fortress, and it seemed like he had instilled a completely new desire to win and drive in the players? since liverpool at OT - liverpool away, i'd say, we had a great run of games, decent football, and results. what i don't understand is how the same players + some better ones have completely imploded and there is no semblance of heart or tactics anymore. it leads me to believe Ten Hag has completely changed his tactics as he sees the players we have rn cannot execute them? i don't know myself but this is the most hopeless i've felt as a utd fan- because it really seemed like we were taking steps forward. it's a cycle and it will happen again, with whoever comes next. we need to overhaul 10+ players, a REAL direction as a club, a proper Head of Recruitment, a vision, better infrastructure, a proper club structure the players, manager + board all on the same page, and someone taking the role of checks & balances on EtH for transfers etc. all of this seems unlikely to come without a change of ownership so it feels as though these years are simply pointless atp. for me, i don't even care about Champions League spots because so what? what happens next? it's not like we're going to win it; i'd rather have a solid two - three years of rebuilding + patchy results where we actually become capable, in a position where we can compete with City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc for the title. i thought that was beginning last year, but here we are, in the same place we've been for the last 10 yrs i feel for EtH, it feels as though every manager becomes engulfed in this mess, come hell or high water. i won't be excited no matter who we get. not completely absolving him ofc, his tactics + signings have been questionable to say the least, but so many of the underperforming players have been here for yrs like you guys said.
I do agree but look at what he had to deal with this year too. Entire backline that gave us a good defensive foundation (and Casemiro) injured or prone to injury which has impacted our ability to play out the back, the saga of Glazers selling/not selling causing us to delay transfers and eventually go for second third choices or loans, the RW drama with Sancho:Greenwood and Antony underperforming. It is gutting to see where we are but I do still hold the notion that ETH is the man for the job when Arteta and Klopp were still given support from fans despite having torrid early seasons. We as fans are fickle when it comes to results due to where we want the club to be but patience has to be held imo.
It's always Bruno's fault. Before it was De Gea's fault it was Ronaldo's fault. Ngl the mainstream media never ever talk about Rashford or any other British players. There has to be something behind it or am I tripping
Sterling had his prime & now he’s on the decline. Pep sold at the best time. He was always a bad finisher even under Pep. Yes he scored lots of goals but City create so many chances so even though he wasn’t clinical, he still came away with goals. Sterling is on the decline and is washed imo
Bernardo silva Is genuinely the best player in the league. I’ve said it for years. City just don’t look as good when he doesn’t play ! 3 best midfielders around Kdb Bernardo Rodri ! Unbelievable team
Man United 0-3 Man City Vibes, unbelievable. People can praise our players but the away fans were the true man of the match that day. Loud all game, and a class chant. Never looked uncomfortable save a few chances United might have had. We're all starting to see our machine pick up where it left off, and it's only a few more weeks till De Bruyne returns. I was willing to ride out the season but it's games like these that make you wanna sing "we're gonna win the league" in November. Everyone was spectacular but to name a few, Haaland, Bernardo and Grealish were standouts for me. Doku absolutely rattling Antony at the end was a cherry on top.
To think Conte won't drastically improve united overnight no matter who the owners or players are, and won't leave a lasting effect that sets them up for success is the levels of delusion required to support man united... look at Tottenham... Conte left, Kane sold, amazing team... know your place united... you would be lucky to get Contes assistant the current level you operate in
Faysal is right about Howe tbh Hall should be starting it makes us a threat from both sides rather than just one and it would relieve the pressure off Trippier also Livramento needs to be trusted more
it’s so hard to rate someone that aren’t as good as they were, van dijk is the perfect example. Obviously he’s not what he once was and never will be again but he’s still one of the best in the world. It’s like how people clowned on casemiro and even ronaldo at man u, they were still amazing the last couple seasons it’s just they weren’t as good as their peak a few years ago so it’s hard to say they were
These guys are more interested in pointing out "I tweeted this yesterday" or "... last week" or "3 years ago" than speaking about the actual topic. Everyone with the same validation seeking mentality and wanting to prove they were the first person to get something right. I know Twitter interactions pay you money, but I would really appreciate more football talk rather repeated promotion of your Twitter accounts.
Liverpool first option was lavia and they didn’t want to pay 50 million fee then went and bid 120 for caicedo. Of course lavia will think to not go Liverpool . They were tussling 10 mill acting like they didn’t have money then go an bid a premier league record fee for Caicedo
If Faysal genuinely thinks Glazers will give Conte the job, he should stop talking on Utd. Conte is the complete opposite of what the Glazers want in a manager he'll make demands that the club can not do he'll want half this squad gone and thats not happening under these clowns, He'll rage quit the job within a few months working under our board.
“Unai Emery is just under that category of manager like pep, Klopp, aND ARteTa”?!?!!?? 😂😂😂 That’s actually quite offensive to group arteta with pep and Klopp
Very beautiful segment about Liverpool. Y'all had me tearing up a little. I will say this though, Klopp is as much at fault. The scapegoat is FSG, but Klopp in charge of transfers this summer, dragged his feet trying to sign a DM. Clearly he didn't want Lavia. And then the FSG y'all blaming was willing to drop a british record fee for Caicedo. Beautiful segment though 🥰🥰.
Ramsdale to Bayern Munich , it makes so much sense Bayern are looking for a long term keeper and I'm sure Ramsdale would go to a more likely champions league contending club than Arsenal
@@hastaar2161 Ramsdale fits their profile A goalie that can play with feet Reflexes are amazing He is used to being no.1 for a big club so won't feel to much pressure Arsenal won't sell for a very expensive pruce
@banathey Why did Arsenal bring in Raya then? They said Ramsdale can't play with his feet etc. Why would Bayern of all teams want a GK who is #2. Bayern won't just sign a #2 option to replace their greatest keeper ever.
@@hastaar2161 firstly who said Ramsdale can't play with his feet , if you actually watch him his class Secondly Bayern were linked with Kepa seriously so I don't think they are too picky over a keeper to replace Manual Neuer
The discours around Ten Hag is the same as PSG with Galtier when he was still there. He may not be the "main" problem, but he sure wasn't the solution.
Someone seriously should make a compilation of faysal butchering player names 😂😂. That new Faysal Mcginn celebration has me dead !!! 🤣🤣. What an episode even faysal finally admitted he is wrong
I feel like no one talks about liverpool in depth on this channel, i sense some jealousy imo. Fuizzy funny, charismatic guy but cannot wave our flag anymore, stocks look very low. We need a liverpool fanatic on here. Props to Faisal, thank you for being real on us.
22:55 I hate this narrative that clubs get their 1st target, unless you’re Real, Bayern, Barca or City you won’t get your priority signing 7/10 times. Your 3rd choice should still be enough to play the football that you want
For every Ten Hag’s signing, there’s 2 players that aren’t his signing Over 40% of his signings have been loans/free’s Players that aren’t Ten Hag’s signing: Dalot, AWB, Maguire, Shaw, McT, Bruno, Rashford and a lot of these free’s & loans aren’t really his either; Evans, Reguilon etc.
You need to get a city fan on the show, loads of people that can come in Steve Mcinerney, Big Steve, FG, Trujista, Bury. Its pretty poor that the best team in the world does not have a single voice in ur podcast! Great podcast but you should fix this
Lyes is so right about united!! Stop sugarcoating everything and wake up to reality and firm it, stop defending players who don’t deserve it and learn to speak truth about players who at the moment aren’t at their best.
True they can be held accountable but to say ETH is not the man after less than half this season with the amount of injuries we’ve had and tactical mistakes (which the manager is to blame) is too reactive from Lyes icl. To continue supporting him is exactly what Liverpool did with Klopp when injuries plagued them and a lot of Arsenal fans who were Arteta out are now doing a 180 because 3 seasons later their reaping the rewards of a manager being backed by a club that are being steered in the same direction. Any manager that comes to Utd will be at odds with owners, media and unfortunately our reactive fans.
@@786Demigod totally agree tbh, ETH does need time and i think he should have the opportunity to try and change this team for the better but can united fans please stop defending players who aren’t good enough, Bruno does not deserve to be captain he’s always complaining and acting like a child instead of being a proper captain and pulling the team back up, instead he’s dragging them down. rashford also hasn’t been the best so i think it’s time ETH did something and he shouldn’t be afraid to drop players to the bench, it’s for the best!!
As weird as it sounds, but Spurs their problem is scoring goals. They have an averge xG of 2.0 over any other team in the league, yet they havent scored more than 2 goals in 1 game apart from Burnley away. Just need to score more and put the games to bed earlier
United and Chelsea will keep the battle for midtable alive. I think United is a club that is set up for managers to fail if players appear to be untouchable like Rashford, Bruno Fernandez and heck even Sancho(who let`s be honest is a poor player) appears to be protected by media and fans, even if his performances doesn`t justify it. i remember when Fergie had players Berbatov, Cr7, Tevez and Rooney, if they didn`t perform they went to the bench or if they had attitude issues. Fergie but an end to it straight away.
"The players need motivation" so let me get this right, playing for on of the biggest clubs in the world and getting paid hundreds of thousands a week isn't enough motivation.
So off base about Ten Hag you guys would rather spend another 500m, and go further into debt, instead of realizing it's the players so quick to forget last season it's hilarious
To be fair to Disasi, he was alright the whole game up until that first goal error which you could split the blame on a few players. In the first half, you could see that Disasi had a more offensive role than usual, making some overlapping runs with Madueke and some through ball attempts. I just think if you are going to give such role or duties to Disasi then might as well play Gusto, a player who has proved that he can do it both defensively and offensively, I genuinely think he can fight for the position against a fit Reece James.
People now stop blaming the Glazers but we had record revenue last season and we still made a loss? How does that work, the club had no debt before the glazers, they bought the club with debt and put the debt on United's books, we are 800 mill in debt, we aren't far off of Barcelona situation, Yet people say it's not the owner's fault.
