Storms is a deep bass (basso profondo). He possesses a vocal range of 10 octaves (G/G#−5 to G/G#5). He has extended his lower range to G−7 (0.189 Hz) while breaking his own record for the widest vocal range for a male singer. His lowest frequencies can only be heard by elephants and various animals that use low frequencies for communication, as well as dedicated scientific measurement devices. His particular vibrato technique accompanied by his sub-audible range was clinically studied in 2015-16 by leading gastroenterologists at Brown University and successfully proven to aid in IBS and severe cases of Colon Compaction.

@@generichuman_ he is going from perfect 5th to a 7th in a super baritone. This is not overlooked. About the elephant range. I have not studies. If this is possible? I think the thing that blows me away the most is how this unbelievably talented man retains a smooth a silky voice even at the lowest notes. I love singing baretone, though when I get to my lowest note (around C1) my vocals tend towards creating sound with subharmonics (i.e 'falsetto') and thus I create a more choppy sounding vocal with artifacts. Controlling this to maintain a steady and smooth sound is incredibly difficult. I commend this guy for pulling off these notes so well. He perhaps may be the most impressive singer I've ever seen. It's all very inspiring and I am grateful to this singer for instilling that in me and in others.

The Operatic term for his voice is "Basso Profundo". Any lower, and only whales could be able to hear him.
@Roy-ts9nv
@Roy-ts9nv 3 года назад
A Basso Profundo role requires a singer with a MUCH heavier natural timbre than Storms. There's a vast difference between how an operatic basso profundo like Kurt Moll sings a C2 and how Storms sings the same note. Most of Storms' low notes are a combination of well developed vocal fry and post production effects, namely artificial bass boosting (the amount that is used in this recording is absolutely legendary) and dynamic range compression. Hence while he sings low he also sings very quietly though it doesn't necessarily come off as such in recordings due to the heavy use of compression.
@jurlew4111
@jurlew4111 3 года назад
@@Roy-ts9nv He was singing quite a few notes below a C2, but yes, there is a difference in how they sing the same notes... Did you actually ask the people who made this recording/video what they did in their post production? Or are you just assuming they must have used tons of compression?

Listen here, bucko, I don't know what year you were born in but here in 2020, we use emojis all of the time, no matter what age you are. *Grow the fuck up.* I'm 28 and so don't even try to act like I'm some teenager because I am very much NOT one. My mom uses emojis and I don't care if you think they belong in 2010 for some stupid reason, you better believe I'm gonna cherish every time my mom sends me heart and kiss emojis. I don't know who crapped in your cereal today but please pipe down. And from the looks of your reply, I have a far better usage of my vocabulary than you do. Sure, I'm not the best but who is? I've been writing (mainly poetry) since I could pick up a pencil but your reply is so disjointed with the lack of general capitalization except when you decided to yell at me. So you wanna keep bugging me about using emojis? 🤨 You're lucky I don't have the nerve to troll you with emoji spamming because HOLY SHITE you're pathetic. 😂 Emojis are meant to accentuate one's messages, not replace regular communication entirely. And that is EXACTLY what I did and have been doing. People still use emojis (usually incorrectly) but I almost NEVER reply with them exclusively unless they invoke that particular action. What, would you rather me just replace them with various emotions written between asterisks like we're roleplaying? Because that'd get annoying REALLY fast. How on Earth do you expect ANYONE to convey their emotion online without emojis? Also, you DO realize that they have existed for as long as the internet has been around (since the days of emoticons), right? Some folks get a kick out of creating their own using those weird unicode things. So you really need to get with the times oldtimer lol Honestly, I'm more baffled at your emoji tantrum than whatever the hell you said about Corpse... My comment was simply saying that his range his fine, he doesn't need to attempt to go lower because he's already so low naturally. Wow, and to think I liked your comment. I was trying to be nice before but you want to be a stick in the mud instead. I liked your comment because I agreed with you. I wouldn't doubt that Corpse could reach Tim's lows if he tried. Take your blood pressure meds, dude. You were unnecessarily hostile for no damn reason. Take a walk, pet a dog or cat, ANYTHING. Just chill out. This year has been hard enough, you don't need to lash out at people right now.
