I love this guy, he deserves better . God he scarified his life and stay with her the whole time for 1300 years. He deserves justice. I didn't like the ending .
Completely agree. He was my favorite character too. It’s been over a year since I saw this and still can’t get over the injustice to his character. He deserved so much more.
I won't say my favorite, but the only one who did not get a good resolution. Even if the results were the same, if he (had the power to?) acknowledge how much chan-sung helped her, it would be fine. Instead, he got a hanging hand at the bridge. Very bitter.

I liked Chung Mung...he should get justice after all he was with Man wol for last 1300 years at least their end should be not like this. He deserves better justice from her. I don't like the end of this drama. Chung Mung is the one who suffered at last most.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Chung myung loved her and sacrificed his life for her. But he also caused her people to die. She had to see her friends, people who were like a family, die. That is why she couldn't go with him. He saved her life, but that life turned out to be an eternal torment. That is why she couldn't go with him. And that is why he didnt deserve her. Hero let her go despite his love for her. It hurt but he put her before himself. He could have asked her to drink that wine. He didn't because he knew she wanted and needed to go. That was the whole message of the drama. Let go of the people you love for their own good.
Guys I don't to break your heartache for his love but I think you also forget that it was also his punishment for killing all of man weol's family. Also in my opinion he's deserving of being hated by man well bcoz he just let the princess kill all of her family in front of her. What I like in this story also is that before chan myeong met man weol the first person who save her is the kid version on chanseong so for me I think it is time for chanseong and manweol destiny to met again and finally bloom. Chanseong made manweol soul live again so I prefer her love story with chanseong than him bcoz I prefer a love story that makes u live again than a love that betrayed u in the first place.
For killing her family, it’s not sth that he can decide. He can’t go against the princess and king. If he did so, she would have been died. It’s also her friend’s wish to keep her alive even if he needs to scarifice himself.
@@krystally3647 he had though, he could have betrayed the thrown if he loved her like he said he did, he would have risked it, turn the tables around, leave with man wol, join her and be with her, he didn’t have a lot to loose, meanwhile man wol she had a lot to loose, her family, the people she cared and was raised with. but he didn’t, which means that he was a coward and deep down even though he was worried, all he cared was about his position with the princess than man wol. he made the mistake and he payed the price for it, simple as that.
@@chimeowmeow_22 Here We are talking about something happend 1300 years ago. He is a captain probably coming from a aristocratic family. He might have had hundreds or thousands of followers. If he join hands with a rebel group then his family and followers would die at least up to like 3 generations. He was going to go with her and got busted. For his family and followers he had to cover it up. He died in manwol's hands so that her rage would go away after killing the person who caused her family' deaths. But she wasn't satisfied with his death and killed more people and burned down the castle. So it is completely her fault that she was bounded to moon tree. Chungmyung isn't the only one to be hold responsible. Manwol put the curse upon herself.
