@@AtheneHolder thank you. Historically to throw a glove like that is a challenge to fight. While she didn’t want a fight, she did challenge him. Extremely rude and could have had consequences for her.
The utter rudeness of some people never ceases to amaze me. Showing off in public to make an impression simply confirms how ignorant they truly are. My admiration to the Royal Guards for being so restrained in their actions.
@@JamesC1981 At least we don't resort to Guerrilla warfare when we invade. We also weren't so restrained when we single handily abolished the slave trade around the world. And, let's be honest, how many nations are actually better off now that we no longer occupy them?
My father is in the Queen's Guard. He's the funniest man you'll ever meet, but he's VERY good at what he does. He when he was at home, we'd have march around the house and shout "MOVE FOR THE QUEEN'S GUARD" And things like that. I love him so much
It is scary that a lot of people have no respect and sense of dignity nowadays, they are only interested in getting attention from friends or on social media. It is sickening. Respect these men. 💂♂️
It's sad to watch and a lot of them are from other countries. They're probably jealous because in their countries, they don't even have the freedom to do this without being jailed or worse.
@@DrummahMike I agree. They're generally tourists. I couldnt imagine going to somebody else's country and behaving in a disrespectful manner, or inconsiderate manner, as many of these people have done. Some of it was accidental or incidental, as they didn't realize that the guards would pass through, but most of it was just taunting, annoying, or otherwise being disrespectful. You kind of have to give the kids a free pass. They don't understand and they're wanting to have fun emulating the guards. Their parents should probably keep them at a greater distance if they want to emulate them, though. I agree with you. It's disrespectful and I know I wouldn't pull such stunts, but watch from a reasonable distance and not get in the way, or attempt to annoy them while they're doing their jobs.
man, the lady in the first video was COMPLETELY LUCKY to not be yelled at by the guard, she literally yanked her hand on his outfit "by accident" and all the guard did was move away, not even pushing HER away.
People don't realize that these guys are the real deal. They are highly trained military men. They carry real loaded weapons. No different than the secret service here
I have so much respect for these guards. It's so damn disrespectful and offensive what these tourists are doing. They're not there to be your attraction, they're there to do their jobs as castle guards. Is there no laws or rules put in place for tourists to not mess with them or these tourists are so entitled that they ignore them? I'm already annoyed with all these tourists getting way too close to these guards for a freaking video or photo, but the assault ones really had me furious. What the hell are wrong with tourists?!
Why the F u need guards, dressed up like clowns, behaving like assholes. Why can't they go around ? No need to scream or push people the way they do. Acting like they r important and guarding someone from something. Is England at war with any country ? R royals really threatened by someone every second ? Every country has military, but they sure don't behave like assholes, power tripping
There are lots of rules for tourists and usually there will be uniformed police near the palace just incase but they're usually there because when people see the black and white or high vis yellow that says police you understand that respect is appropriate. the royal guard are trained to a much higher level than the (average) met police officer. if you break a law in the palace the sa80 riffles carried by the guard are our service rifle for the royal army and royal marines many of the yeoman warder, yeoman of the guard and the queen's guard are selected from the military or police force for their extreme skills and dedication. If you try to take the rifle or bring a knife and act aggressive you will be shot on site and questions will be asked later. Imagine walking up to fort Knox and tapping the guard on the shoulder 😂😂 at least in America you'd probably be able to get compensation but at Buckingham palace it could be seen as treason or terrorism. The boots worn by the guard are much louder than comes across on camera and they are designed with volume and intimidation in mind even the move out of the way warnings are meant to be final you'll be trained to shout in specific ways if you so choose to become a royal guard yourself. And yeah some of the queen's guard will fight and be deployed to active war zones alongside other divisions of British military. As someone who was born a couple underground stops from the palace I'm very proud of our nations guard.
They lack the ability to respond and adapt to their environment. They are like programmed robots. There is nothing to praise here. Machines are of no value.
@@Twobirdsbreakingfree The environemnt needs to adapt to THEM, They are doing a vital and sensitive job and responding and adapting to casual observers is not that job and would be a distraction
@@Twobirdsbreakingfree you know you spend to much time on the internet when you say "programmed" instead of "HEAVILY TRAINED AND COMPITENT" these guards have spent years in service which equals years of experience knowledge and discipline.
The lack of respect that huge portions of the American people show for democracy, dignity and the pure existence of people from other countries (see MAGA, America first and so much that follows from it) is now obvious. And it will not be forgotten over generations.
Stop taking yourself so seriously. The monarchy is stupid, and free America is dead. Live in your illusion if you wish but these guys are shmucks. “I spent my entire career walking in circles”
We are raising generations of people who should be adults, but they act like spoiled children. Why anyone thinks this sort of behavior is appropriate is beyond me.
The reason is parents don't want to hear their kids cry, they don't want their children angry at them, they are too lazy to change their child's behavior or feel their child can do no wrong. If a parent does not model positive behavior or never tells a child "no" the child will act entitled or believe consequences do not apply to them and they should not be punished. It's a wake up call to some people when they grow up to discover some people will inform them that their behavior won't be tolerated.
The Royal Guards should just yell out, “Move your bloomin’ arse.” If tourists are too ignorant or self entitled to move, they should suffer the indignity of being marched through!
Yes, " Move your big fat arse" followed by pain if the said big fat arse is not quickly out of there, pronto. Give the lads a quota, something to look forward to. Behaviour of the public would improve too.
Respect for what? Wearing 16th century wooden shoes which fook up their backs? Ever wonder why they are all quite young. No, respect is not the first thing that comes to mi.d
@@SW-ok8qr the British guard regiments have fought on the front lines in every major conflict they’ve served in. They’re all young because usually on privates get put on guard, the sergeants who relieve them and escort them are all older blokes who have been there done that.
My cousin was a Queens Guard . He went through hell to become one . The training is unbelievable because they might as well have gone to hell , that's how hard it was . Most military men drop out before the training is complete. People are not just distracting the guards but also the Queen .
I agree with tradition. The English are traditionally disrespectful of authority. This goes back to the Peasants Revolt. Also taking in the English Civil War, the Luddites, Captain Swing, the Chartists and the Suffragettes. I'm going to start a Traditional English Riot Re-enactment Society- think the Sealed Knot but with more pitch forks and petrol bombs. I think we should start on March 31st 2022 with a re-enactment of the Poll Tax Riot in Trafalgar Square. We only have to supply one side of the conflict with enthusiastic re-enactors- the police will be more than happy to join in our recreation of history. Let us celebrate our traditional English way of life!
As a British person who is extremely happy with the country they live in, it’s incredibly hard and difficult to see how people treat the Queens guard. They don’t get enough respect. I also don’t think they realise that Queens guard are trained military experts who are extremely good at what they do.
That's because of their antiquated outfit. People just don't expect soldiers to look like that these days, so I kinda get why they're mistaken for a gimmick
@@haydenperez3745 Tell that to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Some of the most developed and prosperous countries on earth. The majority of the UK do not want to scrap a perfectly functional system for an absolutely abysmal presidential two-party system.

@RU-vid Commenter I understand where you’re coming from but I’m thinking from a different perspective I don’t know how to explain it properly because of my health reasons but I’m saying it as a person who has a disability
@RU-vid Commenter I just also wanted to add on imagine if there were people that were standing in the middle and aren’t aware that the guards are coming either because they have an eyesight problem or hearing problem would pushing them be nice or shouting at them
Every single one of the people laughing at these guards in the performance of their *duty* would be screaming for *assistance* from those same guards if their personal safety were endangered.
public safety is not their job; privatized protection is. They have (historically and present-day) never cared much for the protection and well-being of "commoners," only the royals. hence why they are called the royal guard.
Wtf is wrong with people?? Why would anyone think it is ok to touch another human being? I couldn't imagine doing my job and having strangers come up and dance, make weird comments, take videos/pictres, and just plain a nuisance, in general. People can be extremely disrespectful.
To be honest that teenager who was pretending to match with that soldier and then put his hand on his soldier in reality he is literally touching a random person who he dosent know and in reality if you think about it is really creepy and weird
Those guards dont need a gun to seriously mess you up. They are just as deadly with or without the gun and take their job very seriously. It is not only their duty to protect the queen it is also a very honorable line of work.
Jarvo is a fake as a spectator says in the video where he's knocked out by tourist its very disrespectful to the real guards who are there to do their job. Just as its illegal to impersonate a police officer it is also illegal to impersonate the queen's guard. So jarvo should really be arrested but the time it was him knocking out the tourist the police saw and just asked if he got his video.
The guards deserve more respect they are some of the most highly trained soldiers in the world, guard the most important person in the country and the guns are REAL.
My brother was a soldier in the British army, you get a choice when you sing up. You can become a regular soldiers, or join the Kings guard. The mistake many people make is they assume that the Kings guards are for show. Their highly trained soldiers just like any other soldier. They serve in conflict zones and their weapons are loaded. Their doing a job, their protecting the state and the King. They are legally permitted to shoot people posing a danger to the public or the royal family.
I’m a American and I can’t understand how so many people disrespect the Kings guard 💂♀️. I would never disrespect my country’s service men and women, so why do rude people do this? 💯
2:57 There actually was a person laughing as you can here. I’m not even from England and I find the rules simple. Stand out of their way, don’t annoy them, and don’t pet the horses, they’re not all pets!
I don’t think a guard should plow through old women who happen to be in the way and aren’t looking behind them… that’s not honorable. They need to come up with a better policy or method than that.
Technically the gun they’re holding really isn’t loaded. They have a loaded magazine, however it’s only meant for actual emergency. When it comes to annoying tourists, the first time they’ll point the rifle and scream something and if they are still being annoying, the guard will press a button in his cabin and police will arrive
They're rifles, not guns. They have loaded magazines fitted but the rifle is not made 'ready'. All they'd have to do is cock it to chamber a round and fire.
Could you imagine the amount of pride you would have being assigned to the royal guard. It's like finally being getting honor of becoming a guard of the unknown solider. That would be a insane honor to have o7

If I could ever be lucky enough to see just one of the Queen's Guards, I would thank them for their dedication. They give me hope for a more bright future, than it seems we may be headed toward now.
It would be appropriate to strike these disrespectful tourists so that they still feel this pain for days later. Or simply put them in prison. That way, such 'antics' would not occur so easily anymore.- With children, of course, it's something different. They are under special protection, naturally!
Good the guard pushed her these people are so disrespectful, why come to our country and do this if they don’t like us and our people stay away. The Guards are doing their duties
it's very easy for guardsman to slip on smooth surfaces cause they're wearing hobnail boots. i don't know how they're able to walk on the marble floors in westminster abbey
@@vo0sto0 it’s a parade uniform, oh and the design is old uniforms were very different to modern ones even fifty years ago and the hobnail boots are older than that in design. Great for traction on soft or rocky surfaces (interesting note: Parade grounds were traditionally surfaced in crushed rock). They are only used for parade purposes these days because they make a fantastic crack/crunch when you snap your foot down as you come to attention for example.
What these idiot tourists don't realise is they absolutely ARE guarding. Whilst it may be partially ceremonial, their main purpose is actually to protect the royal family and the royal estate. In other words, they aren't just there for pure ceremony. They are actually highly trained soldiers who also serve in conflict and field service, not just royal duties. They are all rotated depending on the season. And yes, they are trained to use lethal force when necessary. Not dissimilar from any of the armed forces. If these ignorant people were considered threatening at all to the royal family or estate, they would be within their power and training to kill them. It's a division of the military and most people don't realise that.
I really feel like someone should really endup in the hospital after getting beaten up by them it would leave a clear impression on the common people to not mess with them
What in the world makes people think they can assault someone, whether true guard or a street performer posing for pictures? Have some respect and keep it fun.
They are nice compared to the secret service or those money van security, theyll actually kill you and be justified; moreover, they aren’t getting respect either.
The level or ignorance and disrespect towards the Queens guards is disgraceful! They are trained soldiers, anyone visiting the palace should treat them with respect and dignity.
