My car was stolen recently from outside of the meditation centre after doing Metta meditation. It was a real test of attachment in the moment and lots of emotions came up but there was this deep rooted awareness there of what was coming up. I really liked the car I had for 3 years but I remember thinking - it wasn't ever MY car. Just a car. How can the car belong to me. That's just a mind made concept. Without Eckhart's teachings and the spiritual development I would have adopted the victim mentality, why me? Bad stuff always happens to me. Etc . So grateful for him 💚
To all spiritual beings, I wish you all the strength you need to actualize your dreams. Keep focused on your purpose and deepest motivations in life. You have come so far. You have grown so much. It is all worth it. Keep going. Much Peace.
Conscious Living actually we should apply it when it’s easy there’s nothing wrong wit that. Because if we can’t be present when everything’s smooth, we won’t be present when it’s rough. Tough times literally force you into it, but with teachings like these available you don’t depend on adversity and pain anymore. You can choose presence, rather than being dragged into the kingdom of heaven kicking and screaming. That’s the whole point of Eckhart’s teaching.
One of the best things about enlightenment is that I realize how little I need to live happily. If one lives on ego, the money needed to sustain achievement is endless. I found Eckhart is very intelligent and great spiritual teacher. I owe him a lot.
Wow, this brings back memories. Lost all our money in a similar situation and was going downhill fast including suicidal tendencies.... and then someone gave me a piece of paper with the words 'The Power of Now'. It was a lifechanger and I wish to thank Eckhardt for his powerful message that has transformed mine and many other lives for the better. THANK YOU.
I hadn't seen a video from Eckhart in awhile and there is just the realization that this man has such a profound state and every time he opens his mouth the frequency and vibration goes very high.
I realized this about food as I was fighting buying fast food rather than eat healthily at home. Not feeling like enough is deeply rooted in many of our addictions.
love when eckhart says “the ego never feels it has enough… it triggers the insufficiency of ‘not enough.’ “ anyone ever have conversations with people who are constantly reminding you of your limitations? this has been my biggest obstacle lately. self-esteem around others, especially in conversation.
@@keen2461 The ultimate tyranny in a society , a tyranny this Planet has been kept in for 12000 Years, is control by the *psychological manipulation of consciousness, through which reality is defined* so that those who exist within it do not even realize that they are in prison. Earth-Humans have been held like Sheep. If the species would have been fully informed it would have been impossible to control the Humans. The Controllers create emotional TRauma for many of their own reasons. They could not have done this with a fully intact species, a fully informed species. So they beat out Light, which is Information and Earth become their terrotriy. Now, Light is coming back on the Planet to bring Peace and Harmony and the freedom to evolve and to bring Earth and its Inhabitants back on Track.
Dear Eckhart, Thank you for sharing your experiences. It has been a long spiritual journey and now I have awakened. The awareness in many areas of my life has open doors. The ego has been confronted. I am living in the now, the moment, enjoy life, my family this beautiful world. Thank you.
NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE SPIRITUAL That cracked me up XD Don't you love it when your emotions are invalidated with buckets of spirituality? I can't get enough of it.
I am still rather "new" to the scene when it comes to Eckhart's teachings. Lets say about a month or so. I decided about a week ago that I no longer want to worry my life away. Time to start believing and creating.
I love doing art ,I'm a artist and my biggest dream is to share my work and talent with the world, there for I need financial freedom, art needs money , and I love my peace of mind , I love the freedom money brings into my life, I love the freedom of expression and there for money is important....! I'm on a spiritual awakening journey..being spiritual does not mean one must live in poverty , money is energy ,money is blessed !! Thank you Universe!! Having money gives one the possibility to help and support others!!!
2 months ago I came across an echarts vidio he was slow more than usual and I decided that he’s boring and wouldn’t listen to him.but now I can’t live a day with out listening to him so blessed That you live in our time
Such a fascinating discussion about the paradox of money and spirituality. This simple discussion from two experienced souls brings home the concept of how we live our dualism. Thank you
I love this man and his work. Gonna buy her book. I realized I have a lot of lack with money and I use it as an excuse to not live. I don't manage my money because I may think I don't deserve it.
Maria, you might think the poverty mentality starts in youth but it can go back many incarnations. I have struggled with this. I scheduled an ETR with Beverly Nation's team and the modality is to erase all past karma, attachments/thinking of "lack". It's a new start, so to speak. Worth a look.
This video is so spot on it's scary. Why? People (a lot of people) are going to need this soon.....VERY SOON. If there was a currency or financial reset; would you be ready? What would you do? What would you tell others. It's very interesting that this video has come along when it has. Wishing you all peace, love, harmony, and balance in your life.
I believe humanity would take care of eachother. Scarcity will die, without scarcity, there is no greed. And for the ones who cannot let go of greed, they will perish with it
Poverty is the way the system keeps people from waking up, internally and externally. Osho talks about this a great deal. Until you are able to live relatively comfortably and not have to be in survival mode every day wondering where your next meal is coming from, then you will not be able to evolve spiritually. This woman has absolutely no idea what real poverty is. The oligarchic system of money we have now is basically equal to the internal system of ego. They are both master/slave relationships. Both must be thrown off and this requires revolution. It starts with the inner though, we must be cumulatively fed up with this grotesque way of life before change can happen. There is the occasional enlightened homeless person who has just let go completely, but this is about as rare as a being like eckhart.
I'd agree but I would broaden your definition of 'real poverty'. In the UK the state uses interest rates and taxation to ensure that the vast majority of people are never able to accumulate enough wealth of their own to free themselves from the daily grind. Working a full time job, raising kids and maintaining mortgages/pension payments/car loans etc.... is more than enough for most. And it's the resultant low levels of continual stress that does the real damage, always living from month to month. We're basically shackled livestock.
You couldn't be more wrong. You are just projecting what you fear the most. You literally could have made that argument about anything that causes fear.
This has brought one of my most difficult tasks to light. I'd love to hear about what we do in the face of death. There is a high likelihood that abrupt climate change will kill our habitat within a very short period of time. Even as little as a decade. I'm struggling with the thoughts of heat exhaustion and or starvation. Yet today was a beautiful day. And I have the luxury of not having to endure physical suffering. I may die before the climate becomes unbearable. Or we may even find a way of "fixing" things. But there's a nagging of things that might come to fruition.
I am a turtle, too. I've been told that turtles are good at lifting others up, as in the ancient story about the first woman who fell to earth. It surely fits the wonderful Eckhart.
Scarcity, survival, fight is all ego trying to tell you that you are poor and money is a problem. Sure, some people have money problems and many are poor but you can be happy despite that and change your situation a lot along the way. I was always broke until I started my spiritual journey. The more I let go of trying to get money the less money I needed and the more money I got.
@@onreact How true I basically experience likewise Haven't had a paycheck in past 20 years Yet everything gets paid , now it's about adventure maybe spend a few years in England
this is exactly what happen she lost it, meaning that she got terrified and paranoid her entire reality as she knew has gone.. then the recognition came that she cant live with all that noise inside her mind and boom the ego identity has dropped
Even after that she probably still had more in liquidable (probably the wrong word) assets than I have seen in my whole life. She lost numbers on a screen and nothing at all physically tangible. Its interestinfg its all about perception. And all it takes is a slight shift in that perception to change the whole situation,To the person who feels theirs is not enough, there is always someone with even less and less and less and so on. Must feel like torture for an individual who cannot get past a loss that shocking and devastating.
Eckhart is unique in that he can impart his wisdom even when he re-exposes the pain of his subjects and still show some empathic and not overly sensitive humour. I made a bit of dough lately and I'm happy to give it away. Do your own research and don't listen to financial gurus.
Yoga seminars, awaking teachings, and all that stuff is entertainment for the rich or high middle-class people in first world countries. I don't mean it's a necessarily bad thing, but that is what I believe.
Dying in poverty is not a happy option considering the lack of benevolence prevalent in our dog-eat-dog societies. Start saving now (just in case you need more cardboard to sleep on tomorrow.)
This video is extremely helpful! Thank you so much for sharing! Anyone who has experienced such a loss knows how heavy & absolutely painful it can be. The suffering can be so unbearable that you must surrender it and move on or live your life in “hell”. It can be the ultimate spiritual test. You’ll know how “spiritual” and “non-attached” you truly are lol.
If you live a lifestyle where you are provided by the Universe daily and you don't need to plan for the future at all and every day you will get everything you need for your human needs then you will lose the scarcity mindset because it was shown to you that some higher energy is taking care of you because you have faith (same as Napoleon Hill in the book Outwitting the devil had when he heard voice in his head to do some expensive actions which he didn't have money for in that particular moment) If you have never used your faith for long enough in hard life situations before, then you definitely have to have savings and fear of loss of your money and you have to trust only to yourself. Makes sense.
It's the unmanageable ego that controls us when it comes to money. I think be frugal with your ego and be generous with yourself. Then you will have enough
She has an interesting story to tell, but I don’t know if she’s genuine or not. She was a rich person who’s still rich by middle class standards. It looks like she still has a lot of influential connections to get this interview.
I retired a year ago at age 57. I lived like I was on a camping trip at my home next to the forest for many years saving most of my pay from work. My co-workers made jokes about me and laughed at me. Now I laugh at them because they have to work and I don't.
@@ennuied yes I have learned something and that is, people who get on here like you and write comments like you just wrote have a big ego and think you know everything.
@@loveoverfearskippy6072 You and your friend jsisidor should get together and write a book, and title it " How To Criticize Other People While Pretending To Be Spiritual".
Joefest99 the spirit does that.. if it can’t change your mind , she would have stayed broke, complaining and crying... once you learn to live in the moment and not worry your brain can start working and giving money making ideas (wisdom) so the books were her way out of Debt... try it you to can be a money making attracting tool
You are my greatest teacher. Thank you for you guidance. I see the nature of everything and understand our evolution process of consciousness. How do I expand my desires of my intentions. 'Help me help others'
In one of my videos I use a clip from the movie "They Live," which I think is VERY interesting and perceptive all on its own in a strange way. However there is a flash where it shows him holding money and for those that haven't seen the movie, in essence there's an underlying reality that most humans can't SEE, and this particular guy gets a pair of glasses that allows him to be able to see what's ACTUALLY printed on the billboards, what's actually printed on the money, what's printed everywhere, WHO the true beings are, and who are imposter so to speak. On the money, the clip that I use shows it's printed "YOUR God" and I think that's VERY perceptive in some ways that some people treat money with such a ridiculous amount of reverence when it is nothing more than an energy, a piece of paper that has no REAL value necessarily other than what WE assign to it. So how much value do WE assign to IT becomes THE question, right? Something to ponder. I found when I just became in more harmony with my surroundings, and just trusted that the universe will provide WHAT I need, when I need it. Those things seem to just work themselves out in a way that maybe wasn't as linear as I thought they would come in. Oftentimes the solutions came in a more abstract way, or from a source that I didn't necessarily see it coming through, but when we stop focusing on the fact that it has to come in the form of a check, or cash, the universe will take care of us in ways that we could have NEVER seen coming, as long as we are living in a frequency of harmony. Hope that helps some. So very much luv to ALL!!💖💙
Am I missing the part where this woman became homeless or something? I thought she lost literally all her money.. I certainly must be missing that part or something.. 🤔🤔
I stated in another comment she probably still had more than I have ever had in my whole life. If you're accustomed to a certain way of life and a certain level of security and EXPECTATION of future security, a sudden sizable loss can feel just as terrifying as it would a person of more modest means. So it is really all relative.
I wonder how many of us Eckhart or "spiritual types" tired of feeling they had too little or too much money-if you get my m. The great catalyst for human spiritual development :)
We had 220 million stolen in Japan, glad all my eggs were not in that basket. Made me feel sick for a few months, not easy to sleep. Just one of the downs on the rollercoaster of life, looking back. Good Luck to anyone else who has Lost Out.
I was born and raised in poverty in a third-world country. I still remember those days when I had no money to buy food. But i worked so hard to get to where I am now. I am 43 and living in the Netherlands with a great career in IT. Good pay, good living, but still unhappy. :(
Are you living your ''authentic'' life or are your ''attachments'' playing a bigger role regarding happiness? What i mean is are you being true to yourself about what you want in life or are your choices in life based on what others ''expect'' of you. I think happiness comes into place when we can be true to our authenic self.
@@pennyc7064 thank you. What you said is very true. I wasn't authentic of myself. I was living my life to please other people, to take care of their well-being and I always put myself second. I am still the breadwinner of my (extended) family i don't have kids and family of my own. I have my own little story that claims the role of a victim in life. And how I succeeded through adversities. Look where I am now! -that's my ego talking.
@Jerry Perry I totally agree with you. Thank you for sharing this. I am practicing that now as I go through my daily life. It's amazing how that simple and yet profound message of Eckhart, Buddha, Jesus and Schopenhauer....really is the key to freedom.
Money has become such a sore subject for me, feels like it's been inches from my grasp for a couple years now. I'm blessed to have a platform, but I'm frustrated that so many obstacles/lessons hit at the same time. Oh wellness.... "The Universe is conspiring in my favor"
It's an addiction, a part of the 'rat race'. You work hard and your reward is more money, so you buy more things or get more stuff that then requires more money to maintain. It's a vicious cycle. I have many friends that are proud of their cars, their homes, their latest purchase, their last raise, .... It's a bizarre thing. As in what is enough? Likely a vast majority have 'enough' if they are awakened.
Hey Eckhart tolle can make a video about letting go cuase I have a problem and alot people I know suffers from just not letting it's hard is hell to do. Thank you
When you awaken when losing all your "wealth" you learn two things. That "wealth" or "money" isn't worth living for and.. that something is inherently wrong with THIS world. Because you still need money AFTER 'awakening'... ;)
Money is difficult. Because (just my opinion) it takes two weeks of hard labor to make. And it’s gone is less than a few hours, when you get paid. Whatever is left over stresses you out to survive off of for the next two weeks. It’s cyclical terror if we live it this way.
He lost it on bad trades. I've seen it before and it's not uncommon. EOS (End of story.) His beneficiaries are dead or struggling and there are no missing billions.
Would you guys say that spiritually its better off not saving money? Since it does feed the ego, you'll never feel that there's 'enough' money saved. What do you think?
I can offer that my Vedanta teacher taught us to be practical; to take proper care of yourself financially as you would take proper care of the body, but dont be greedy (that causes a fall acc to him) And to use your free time for spiritual endeavors (study and meditation- seeking liberation in this lifetime)
