MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK IN NEPAL | 13 DAYS | 5160M
Manaslu Circuit Trek is one of the few remaining off-the-beaten-path trails in Nepal. It takes you around Manaslu, the world’s 8th highest mountain at 8,163 meters. The trek offers some of the most amazing mountain views. On top of that, you get to experience the unique cultural side: local religions and their mountain lifestyle. Manaslu Circuit Trek is a visual feast for trekkers from starting to the ending point. The region is located adjacent to the well-known Annapurna trails, which are just 40 miles to its west.
The trek is surely meant for the fit only. It is praised as one of the top appealing treks in Nepal. Only less than 2% of trekkers to Nepal would go to Manaslu. This means even during peak season, you won’t have to deal with a crowded trail. The trek takes you from steamy lowlands with paddy and millet fields, through the mighty gorges of the Budhi Gandaki, with gorgeous waterfalls. Manaslu Circuit Trek is the best choice for those trekking enthusiasts who are into challenging adventures. It’s not only the beautiful nature and magnificent mountains, it also gives you a taste of how Buddhism and Hinduism look like, and how they blend in together. You can get to witness how people preserve ancient Buddhist rituals by cooperating them well in their daily life activities. You’ll see some of the longest Mani Walls, plenty of Chortens, Prayer Wheels following one after another.
Manaslu is a restricted region, which means you’ll need a special restricted area permit to enter. This can only be issued through local travel agents. You will also need Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and Manaslu Conservation Area permits.
