What a great fight. Being shorter than your opponent in contemporary TKD match, it is really hard to stand the pressure from above and make distance for kicks. Bae's strategy was great and his stamina and flexibility and power of his waist to accurately conduct the strategy was just superb.
They don’t come close. It’s actually blue who always closes the distance because he knows that red has very long legs because he is much taller. So, blue, as a shorter player, he always closes the distance and tries to score to the body or the head. He knows he will be in trouble if he stays far.
Old school had it's problems too, stop looking at things from nostalgia glasses. Back in the day, fighters spent half the fight bouncing in place and staring at each other
Joseph Ong and even if they kicked, mostly all of the kicks missed too. Infact because of old school, they introduced the penalty of evading, when you don’t fight for a couple of seconds and you get a deduction point.
What we want is that aggression and fire that these old school fighters have. In the old days, the kyorugi system wasnt as refined, hence the stagnant fights. But when there were engagements, it was exciting. The power and speed was worlds ahead of this foot slapping nonsense of today.
this match is a result of good thinking. Jun-Seo Bae is good at infight and he knows it. it makes it even easier since popov is taller. not all new school is like this match. taekwondo is as much a mental sport as it is a physical one. edit: grammar
Mo_ 010 Agreed. Another lame fight for final. So many possibly holding and curving-axe kicks. Russian athlete should have tried more. There was still some time in round 3 and Korean got 7 Gam-Jeom, but... as everyone should see Red athlete had no mind to win. I expected more from him as he beat Iran athlete in Semi-final.
Good evining sir. I am a 14 year kid from india. I am learning taekwondo since 6-7 months and i have achieved yellow belt also. But since i am now 14 yrs . I am felling very much pain in thai and nearer to the knee area while streching. So sir plz tell some ways that i can do to streach my leg.plz si help me. Plz reply me sir. And i have also won all odisha open state taekwondo ship gold medal.
Do not stretch the muscles or areas in pain. You probably suffered injuries. Do not make it worse. You stretch other muscles easy on the injured muscles until your injuries are healed. Better yet, go see a doctor.

Even though Jun Seo Bae is talented with what he does, which gave him the #1 seat in 54kg, I just don't like the style of clinching all the time just to get points. It doesn't make the fight any interesting
@@kylereimatanguihan9731 Woah you guys are so smart! I didn't even realize this wasn't MMA. Also, just because I pointed something out doesn't mean I don't like it. I actually really appreciate TKD albeit I prefer the more traditonal ITF over the olympic WTF but either way TKD can be amazing especially when mixed with other styles. Ya'll getting so defensive over this sport when I point something out lmao.
@@SkateTutorials93 well, if you know this is the sport version why the fuck are you whining about how it isn't practical? And for your info the kicks these guys use are actually extremely practical if mixed with other arts. Sounds to me like you're the one that's defensive.
