Bernardo deserves a shout for easily most underrated player in the world rn, maybe not the most end product, but his dribbling, ball retention and off the ball work is out of this world
Yeah thank you for this comment. Watching him play really brings a smile to my face and I can really say that about every player at city at the moment.
Man city's goals were nothing to write home about. Mbappe's shot was beautiful and he missed one. Neymar also missed one shot, that's the nature of football.
@@bconni2 fernando santos needs to go. Has a ton of options and plays too defensive. Silva had a great performance vs Serbia but asked to be subbed off
@@alejandroalba391 u obviously didn’t watch the game lmao, CITY DOMINATED that game in Paris, just got unlucky, and PSG scored 1 lucky ass goal from Gueye and Messi scored a worldie, that’s it lmao
Poch out. 🤬
As a Chelsea fan, Man City was really impressive. No KDB, No Grealish, No Foden…. No problem. They still won comfortably vs one of the top clubs in Europe.. Both Chelsea and City have ridiculously deep squads, add Liverpool and what a title race the EPL/UCL is going to be!! Get your 🍿 ready!!
@@tricky1506 lol lets not gett carried away. Grealish didnt want to be worth that much its just what villa asked for and city wanted him that bad. He’s had a rough start obviously not play how he used to but under pep you dont want to disappoint and i can only assume that he wants to fit into to his system as much as he can. Trustttt grealish will become a deadly force once he gets comfortable. If he doesnt well fuck me what a waste of money
He's scored alot of tap ins before that one miss so I don't think that means he had to practice again to be able to score them players miss sitters all the time it's apart of the game
Especially in comparison to the work rate the City's forwards put in, that is infuriating to watch. As a PSG fan, even I'm infuriated by MNM's lackadaisical efforts.
What a game a pass from Bernardo, can’t believe at one time people thought he wasn’t going to get any playing time because City signed Graelish. He has arguably been City best player this season so far.
A front three of Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar is good on paper, but they'll never win anything if they keep on playing this way. They leave so many areas of the pitch exposed.
It is about the midfield silly. PSG front 3 were not set up to play middle and defence. When Barca and Real were great they had midfielders who controld the middle and distribute. None of PSG medfield could pass the ball accurately or control the middle. Don't you all know football.
Messi fans probably still have their sight on Ballon Dor contention. Funny how they emphasized his talent among a weak Barca team. Nowadays he's not even relevant surrounded by all-star cast
@@calvinkartono5146 It’s always about the midfield. You need good people to distribute the ball back and forth. Look at Bayern, they have amazing midfielders. Oh and also a front three that presses a lot.
Man city vs psg are polar opposites. One knows how to use their money to assemble a TEAM the other just throws cash and any big name player on the market and has no chemistry at all whatsoever.
Man city were dominant and they played really good especially the first half! They played good after the psg scored! Well deserved for city. Great game
2-3 years ago we were only front runners, whenever we’d go down we could never find a way back and the game would be over. But since last year we’ve really started to rally back and fight more in these situations , this team is serious 💙🦈
Have you noticed pep changed his tactic style a little bit ?Back then Manchester City just passing around the box or back pass all the time !Now Man City been doing shooting outside of the box or crossing more often than past years!
I feel as though the defeat to Chelsea last year has really inspired these guys to get over the line. They're finally taking their chances and fighting throughout games instead of crumbling like they used to a couple years back.
Crazy how watching it live the servers failed. Missed the entire 2nd half when it was way better than the first half. Paramount plus needs to give refunds!
Look at the work rate City's forwards puts in......Now, look at the work rate PSG's forwards put in. As a PSG fan, that is frustrating to watch. A respectable manager would command more out of those guys especially if they are not scoring at the rates they normally score at.
City front did not defend their midfield were too good. PSG has no midfield so they blame the front 3. Tell me ONE good play PSG midfield make, tell me!
@@carolgruber9314 that is true as well. For all of the good I thought they did in the transfer window, they still managed to neglect what they needed most….a box to box midfielder.
Difference between Pep and Poch: - Ped clearly prepared this game. Zichenko starting clearly showed his fear of PSG offense. - After conceding, he realized he didn’t have a choice anymore and went all in by taking off Zichenko, dropping Bernardo for creation, and putting Jesus No.9 to disturb Marqui and Kimpembe as much as possible. - this left Mahrez with more space than he already had. But Pep capitalized even more by making Walker make runs too, bringing the outnumbering he needed. On the other hand, Poch did absolutely nothing to help his game plan: -he got absolutely outplayed the whole game. - his offensive trio was NOT pressing man city players, making it so much harder for everyone else. That’s why by the 60th minute, psg midfield was so tired they could barely keep up anymore. - after taking Herrera, Nuno and Gana out, he should have gone with 3 in the back. And then put Mbappe on the left flank, allowing him to really hurt Manchester on left flank and make runs, while still dropping back to help the defense. And Hakimi could have remained on the right flank and do what he does best. - then Danilo and Paredes could have done their best as defensive/central midfielders. - Finally, messi, neymar, and Di Maria could have done something together, especially with Mbappe and Hakimi also pushing forward. Manchester gave them a tactical lesson today. That’s all there is to it. PSG can never make it by playing like this against top dogs like Bayern or Chelsea.
It must be truly hard playing with two number 10s to be honest, the role has almost disappeared from modern futbol (and adapted to players like kdb and bruno fernandes who pressure more) and unless they are truly running the show and never losing the ball psg is just bound to have a bad time against teams who are comfortable with the ball. I guess poch is in a hard spot benching any of ney or lio (I know they can play in the wings but they certainly do not put in the work for quick recoveries and followup post their team losing possesion. I am more looking at ney than lio due to age and professionalism)
So its the front 3. The PSG midfielders got tired because they have no skill. They never made one accurate pass except to Man city players. Only Veratti can make plays but he is always injured. Stop giving them a pass.
Pochettino can't suceed with PSG he plays a pressing game of football and has no forwards who press so rn he has no real tactics and is letting star power carry him at United yes Ronaldo doesn't press but you get Cavani and co who are hard workers he can fare way better here at PSG he'll inevitably be sacked
I love you Manchester City, gg PSG but man topping this group was so unexpected, also call us an empty library stadium all u want, the man city fans were absolutely fabulous tonight (ps-we finally didnt get an easy group and yet we still topped it)
Its amazing that City has that extra gear they can switch into. You think they're already playing really well in the first half and once they concede, they take it up a notch and score 2 back.
@@iam_champ Pep literally only made just one change this game. That too of Zinchenko, who hasn't been a usual starter this season. What are you on about?
@@iam_champ I'm not saying City does not have a deep Bench. They absolutely do. Just that it was not the reason for them winning this match. It was the performance of 12 individuals + the coach's tactics.
PSG has a problem with defense. They have to work on their defense. Mahrez kept controlling that position with the ball. Poch is not the coach for PSG at the moment. Zidane needs to come in.
Watching from the side of PSG, it was just brutal. Everyone seemed confused. 1. On offense, they seem like they're committing to different contradictory game plans, but ending up achieving neither. PSG tried to build up from the touchline through Man City's press, but the midfielders don't come back to help with the buildup, and they don't pass quickly enough to make this style work. But when we DO clear the ball and play long, we don't crowd the midfield enough, which results in us giving away possession cheaply. 2. We need more offensive resources besides counterattacks. There were stretches where we had possession of the ball, but we just couldn't do anything about it for several minutes. We need more crosses from wingers, runs in behind on the defense. 3. On defense, there was not much to say. We don't press the ball enough. And Man City's overlapping runs on the wings are on point. All I can say is I hope Ramos recovers soon.
@@NuisanceMan The problem is that both messi and neymar both drift centrally in the final third. This was perfectly fine in the MSN era because suarez was a striker who could be a target man or a poacher and also had the discipline to drift wide (to the far post and even to the wing) to create an outlet or drag defenders from congested areas of the pitch. Unfortunately Mbappe is not that player and will never suit the needs of both messi and neymar simultaneously. He also struggles with tiki taka and the 1 touch nature ingrained in the other two. Mbappe is a great player and the top scorer for the team (at the time of my comment), but he is not going to greatly enhance messi and neymar.
everybody talking about sterling and silva . but forgot how mahrez is making the team eats . he literally serves the ball to the whole team . he makes the team eat . and his control of the ball is wow
This just goes to show that having the best players does not make you the best team. Manchester City were miles ahead of Paris, no doubt, Pochettino needs to improve or leave if PSG is gonna seriously challenge for Champions League.
Man City has a better squad overall. PSG has arguably the best front-three in the world, but it doesn't mean much when the rest of the players aren't just as good.
What????????? They lead La Ligue and beat City in the last game 2-0 and Poch needs to go???? This is not FIFA dude. It's one game and City was the better team today. That happens in football. Just say you don't want Poch to coach them.
Defenders should force Mahrez to his right, I understand how good he is in general. But, he is too left footed dominant. Still an amazing player none the less.
what a great matchup, I noticed that MBappe did a similar "so close" gesture @4:10 that I used to also do when I was playing professional football. Cheers Mbappe with a nutmeg goal and a salute
Gabriel Jesus needs to start more. Unfortunate how F. Torres is injured. Tired of seeing us play without a striker. The attack is so much different with a striker
Exactly bro it was too easy to defend against us as soon as gabby sub on in the striker role we give psg a lot of problems. Pep needs to play gabby upfront he’s not the best but we need someone up top . I’m getting sick of the false 9
Spurs sacking Poch was the stupidest move in the Premier that year. They’ve done nothing but flounder around since and Poch is having success elsewhere. IMO
I Knew when Messi left Barcelona for another team in a different league that he would struggle. Ronaldo moves to any league and he excels, Messi struggling and looking poor. The debate that Messi is better than Ronaldo, is ridiculous at this point.
@@sethricketts9475 PSG are in a one team league 😂. Messi can’t even do well in a league that has zero competition.Ronaldo has scored more goals in a not great United team in a league that’s has some of the best teams in the world.
