It’s crazy, I remember first watching this video as a sophomore in college in 2007 and had just gotten into flight school. I fell in love with it and now I’m a working pilot.
That's amazing Nate! Isn't it funny how videos that we watch mark a point in history and our lives for us all. I hope the career is progressing great :)
If I can remember correctly, this is the first ever plane takeoff/landing video I have ever seen, and it is what inspired my love for aviation. I’ve been an aviation enthusiast for about 7 years and I plan on becoming an aerospace engineer or a pilot.
Beautiful vid! Loving the silhouette of the 747, the whirring of the engines on the 777 and the raw sound of the DC-10 with early rotation...awesome!!!
@@ethancampbell6076 dc10 20-40 varients had pratt and whitneyJT9,ALL THE OTHER WERE CF6s,,,not sure which varient the biman in question had but sounded very much like the CF6s.either way a classic aircraft
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 The manchester route was suspended for years... But when Biman took in 787 8 ans 787 9 models... it's been reopened and 787-9s fly from Dhaka to manchester now
Im born in 1998. I was 9 wenn this Video came out I loved to watch it very Young at that Time Now 10 Years Later its still one of my Favorite Videos im 19 now and Still love Airplanes above Everything✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Great Video The DC10 at the end is the best GREAT SUNSET
Man...I absolutely agree with you...that sound, the whine, the rattle...the full glory of a "Turbofanic symphony"! It stirs my soul, raises goose-bumps of excitement on my back! Cool stuff.
i think its amazing at the attitude these aircraft are reaching on take-off, and the way the wings flex with the amount of lift generated, and that dc-10 was extremely quick off the mark. awesome vid
I have no idea why people want planes quieter these days. I love the first giant jetliner generation such as the 747-200 and DC-10 recorded here. Those are planes with sound to match their size.
Wow!!!! All three sounds from those jets the 747, 777, and DC-10 were amazing! Thanks so much! Your vids are awesome!! Sounds especially sweet with the surround sound 4 speaker with woofer set up that I have on my computer!
Great job mate. Great sound and love the climb angles; must have low loads or stop overs on the way to HK and Bangla. How do you do the Tower audio? Direct to tape or record on site and add at edit? Cheers!
I live in Wallasey, which is the marker position to line up for landings at Manchester Airport and some of those "heavies"sound like they're going to come straight through my lounge, they're that loud.
Lovely video. My house is under the flight path (about 5 miles from the runway) at Manchester, so get to see lots of planes! Saw a couple of US Air force Hercules the other night flying over on departure. Would love to find that vantage point though! Is it the Style side?
yea there is. it's a boeing made air craft. Just a dc10 with different instrument panels. Fedex uses it. and that's probably the only carrier that does. I know it probably isn't a MD10 in the video but there is such thing.
Man, this is amazing! I mean, those planes generally need to taxi a longer way before take off, am I right? These take offs look quite extreme. Hats off to those pilots. Besides, people who captured these videos managed to avoid sound distortion due to high volume, so you can hear very loud turbine sound as if you were watching this from the track in person. Good job!
Nice vid. The Engines on the DC-10 are powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D engines on the Series 20 model. The Series 10 and 30 were powered by General Electric CF6. Thanks for posting. 5* and favourite.
