I am just going to answer the question of why ETH did not do this kind of game planning earlier in the season and the answer is quite simple. He did not have the players to pull this kind of strategy off. 70 injuries and 33 different back 4 combinations this season is far too much to adjust to for ANY manager. We played this final with 2 right backs btw and if it wasn't for Onana's error we would have had a clean sheet.
@@johngarynavida if we didn't have a robust squad that's on him, no one forced him to spend 150m on 3 players, that could have stretched for a couple more players and added depth , poor managers always have some excuse, injuries are not a new invention, he's had money, he's misspent it , end of story.
I cant beleive that having probably our most affective, inspirational player playing improved the team?! Bonkers that. Its almost been like him, along with his partner (who had a great game today too) and several of their replacements being out for a large part of the season might have negatively affected results this season 🤔🥴😏😆 Great to see him back. Lets hope for an injury free season from him next season! 💪🏼
I have been following closely Man united fans sentiments over the last couple of months and I have to say that this is the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson that the fans are refusing to be swayed by the media when it comes to sacking the manager. Something has shifted in Man united fanbase!
If they sack him now, it’s just going back to square 1. Rebuilding United is a massive job, Eric’s got 2 trophies in 2 seasons. Sacking him would be pure madness.
@@Joeonline26 finishing 4th is better than winning the FA Cup, financially, in attracting players, in playing in the CL, if ETH had finished 4th with no cup he would have kept his job so please don't harp on about winning cups is better than league performance, it's just a brutal reality of the modern game. Wages drop for the squad with no CL and less money for transfers .
@@brettpilkington9539 Last season ETH finished 3rd AND won a trophy. Emery will never do that at Villa. You clearly don't know what you're talking about pal. Stop embarrassing yourself
2 trophies in 2 seasons. It's all about winning. As bad as they were in the league, ETH keeps winning trophies and that's what it's all about. Would be crazy to sack him now. We saw today with the 2 solid centre backs they were much better.
Nonsense, league performance matters, I'd rather have Arsenal's season than ours, it's easy to win cups, when was the last time we had a title challenge? We aren't supposed to be 8th , would Madrid or Bayern tolerate that ?
@@brettpilkington9539it’s not easy to win cups as many clubs do not. It’s about winning and some managers don’t have the ability to win finals. Yes league form is important but when you have had the most injuries in the league, which we have officially, you ain’t having a good league form
@@benjams5743here's the thing though, amrabat has barely been used in his position this year. This last run he had he was playing exactly where he excels, and you can see that on the field
We talk a lot about the center back situation and rightfully so. But we’ve literally just played an ENTIRE season without a proper left back. Imagine we had a healthy Luke Shaw with a healthy Martinez/Varane combo. Crazy season this. Let’s all just breathe a little bit and enjoy this win. Going to be an interesting summer
You can have all the Oil money, state financed money in the world and buy all the world class talent but Manchester City you will never be able to say you’ve won it with the Kids! From the Busby Babes, Class of 92, Garnacho & Kobbie this is Manchester United and you’ll never ever be able to buy that ❤
Amrabat was immense , oh at the final whistle I was crying with joy, I've had so much stick all season , cried my eyes out ❤❤❤❤❤ WITH JOY..... COME ON UNITED
@mickfoskett6629 I was sooooo proud was getting whatsapp messages this morning watch the cricket score today , and abuse , mate when the final whistle went I sent all those messages an audio message saying FUCK YOU with a picture of Bruno lifting the cup , Manutd4eva ❤️❤️❤️ 👹 x
EtH should be given another season as it is obvious the squad is growing. EtH is laying the foundation of the new ManUnited. Besides EtH is delivering: 2 seasons, 2 trophies
Well done united and Ten Hag, everything was spot on today. Will be gutted if they get rid of him, changing managers all the time just isn't the answer.
Been out with my dad all day. He was going home and away in '74 when we got relegated. What a fucking day we've had. I'm fucking scrambled lads. Up the fucking reds. Hope you all have a great night.
It's great to see Andy so happy for a change, enjoy the summer Guys👍👍 Keep EtH, get rid of the dead wood hangers-on, sign Amrabat on a permanent deal, buy a CB replacement for Varane, sort out the LB puzzle and next season try to keep the players fit and health
Great day for Utd and fully deserved for EtH after all hes been put through this season from idiotic pundits and fans calling for his head, hang your heads in shame if youre one of these, no other manager would have done better with the injuries and luck he has had this season. To win the FA Cup with the circumstances hes had is extraordinary. No surprise AT ALL to me that with Lucha and Varane back we had a solid base that would have given us a comfortable win, but for another horrendous bit of goalkeeping. EtH IS the man for the job (especially compared to those on the supposed shortlist to replace him), now lets get players back, players moved out, players brought in, and GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND ETH NEXT SEASON. Come on Utd. 💪🏼🍻
Varane was magnificent today as was the whole team bar the onana blunder again but in fairness to him pulled of some brilliant saves 😊 up the red army we never die
Eth has Bruno, Mainoo, Garnacho, Onana and Lisandro Martinez fully bought in and playing for him. If those boys can stay fit next season its almost a guaranteed better league finish. Licha being arguably the most important. What a monster, took Halaand home in his pocket despite coming off early. I hope he keeps hold of the reins for at least next season.
Andy's emotional moment as the second goal went in, was exactly how I felt. Probably one of Paddocks cut away moments that will stay with me and sum up a season and says everything in just a few seconds.
I just realised we binned Newcastle out of Europe and put Chelsea in the inter toto Europa channel 5 league 😂😂😂. I’m waiting to hear the press give that same energy towards Eddie Howe
Im absolutely sick of listening to pundits... This guy and Tate started this bigging up EtH, and saying what a difference having Lucha and Varane back at CB was, then Tate minutes later questions why EtH didnt pick this team and do this earlier 'with 10 games to go' ...you just answered your own question 5mins ago with what you said Andy... you know, having certain important players available helps loads for some bizarre reason...!? 🥴 As much as we all love Andy and these influencer fans, they are emotional, irrational, unknowledgeable, and their opinions change with the wind... nothing any of them say should be taken seriously, their passion clearly effects their judgement. This presenter clearly doesnt understand what hes watching either speaking about Amrabat at the end too. Such a frustrating watch this.
Watching from Bangladesh I have the opinion that the process of change commenced its journey two years ago with ETH. The inability to handle PR appropriately, the poor strategic influencing on refereeing decisions, leadership structure and strength of football operations, the failure to arrest ever increasing injuries by medical department, inherent weakness in player recruitment strategy and execution, absence of alignment and collaboration among hiererchies are few of the many factors that have to be considered before blaming everything on Eric. He is a worldclass coach, has the passion to bring glory to man utd due to his love for the club, has the drive to develop youth, can motivate the players and team without sacrificing fundamental principles of team and individual player discipline, he has tremendous reselience to work in all odds to come out a fighting winner, understanding of the challenges and their underlying reasons are very rare and would be suicidal to give up. The incumbent, even if capable would take time to take a grasp of this complicated scenario. I suggest Ineos should wisely continue with ETH.
Varane x Martinez partnership is the core of that team did you see how they were motivating each other on each defensive action even Wan bissaka was part of it and he's usually reserved
God bless Andy ..... Cries in every loss video he's not watching but when got a chance for views SPRINTS to the studio True RU-vidr now 😂 WE PROUD ANDY ❤
When you’re building a team, the league is the ultimate goal obviously, but that road & journey will take time with ups & downs… to go there, along the way take a bit one or two cup trophies to boost the team morale & mentality to get the main goal… this was the story so far, what’s the problem?
I saw some of the pictures after city won 4 in a row. I think some of the players were probably still recovering from the weekend party. Which was a big advantage to us. Similar thing happened to Leverksure v Atlanta
@@brettpilkington9539 I live in canada mate. We drive big gas guzzling SUVs and monster trucks out here. Only chicks or someone from the alphabet mafia would drive a little Ford Fiesta 😆🤣
Love Andy tater pies 2 bits..he speaks his mind and what you see is what you get from him...and he's a Droylsden lad is where i come from...Aarr rigghht!!!
Leave Erik alone. I've been quiet for a while but he's been against it all season. No body can say after that that injuries haven't played a part, we had a proper back 4 which we've not had all season. for the first time in a long time we did and look at the result. bunch of snakes these fan base has been. Enjoy this win and leave them to enjoy. ETH in and always have been.
Ten Hag learnt on the job that's why he left out casemiro and Antony even selection of trashford was questionable but rash did OK ten hag is the man to take us forward
what a day, after the season we had this why we love football but more importantly, love Manchester United. Thanks lads, bring on the next season. We have to enjoy these moments!!!
Firstly well done to ETH for setting up the team well and outclassing Pep tactically and for the whole team for doing their job and wanting it more than city over the 90. I want to see this consistently every game - just be up for it and wear the shirt with pride. We actually deserved that win. 🏆 Hard cheese to Chelsea and Newcastle ;) If he’s getting sacked then I wish him well for his future because he tried his best with a lot of issues and seemingly everything including the media against him.
We can't keep chopping and changing managers. Hopefully, EtH will have learned from his mistakes and with a good window and proper structure at the club, I'd like to see what he does next season.
ETH should be given a new contract. New manager ? which of the six or so candidates proposed by the media would have done better this season with the players available ?
Andy is such a flip flop. I understand that he makes decisions based on emotion most of the time… but he will back and sack a manager on a game by game basis. Odd
Even if we lost it would be harsh to sack eth. It’s completely insane to do it now but to think one goal and match would change it all… Should have waited till Jan next year in the worst case. For sure now he gets another season with 4th as the minimum requirement
You're annoying me with this "Why didn't he change the tactics sooner." rubbish. If he had of run counter to what he'd been trying to get the team to do, it could just as easily have turned out worse. The whole season was hindered by a lack of team cohesion through injuries etc, not tactics. As I've said before, Pep couldn't have done better in Hag's situation. I'm a pessimist ffs, but 2 videos of criticism of "Hag's tactics" this season, makes my expectation of getting our arses kicked in this cup final WIN, look like a featherweight. 😑 Hag, is the man, and it should remain that way for a lot longer, he's exceeded my expectations in every area (Given the circumstances.), since he's been here. 😐
The start of the game was a city given goal by inexperience ortega goal keeper, rest of the game utd park the bus mourinho left behind when he was the manager! Eth parked the bus forcing city to play high line. Absolute jokes!
Amrabat not had a great season to that point? The fella with a hat is delusional. Amrabat has played only couple games in his actual position and he performs well. The fella with the hat has been angling for Ten Hag to get sacked for the last 5 months. Embarrassing. Should be sacked from the channel
Open heart surgery is not cheap. Eth is wrongly criticised for transfer spending and choices. Chelsea spent a billion and where are they? Nunez is not cutting it yet at Liverpool. Jesus is not a great success at arsenal, pep has had a few clangers, and we didn’t get it right with Antony. It happens to even the best managers and recruitment teams. We need more players bought by a competent director of football
Great win but you talk about Raphael varane and Martinez. If you look at the first five games this season in the premier league. We lost 3 games out of 5 with our best defence. Sorry I still want ETH out because we have had no consistency all season.
That’s the problem they don’t give enough in over games they had everything to lose today and they played out of their socks I sometimes think they have lost all reality and have no inner desire it’s utd toughen up be angry Own it 10 years is too long it’s time we awake the sleeping giant 👊🏻
@@fearlessformidableferociou8623 We know were shite but we keep plugging away. At least we don't have the honour of been the worst Champions of the Premier League.
