That song has a combination of beauty and anger in it that’s nearly impossible to find. Eight years ago I was going thru a divorce and I would go walking around this park listening to nothing but MO and this song especially. I’d have tears running down my face. This band was one of the things that got me thru that time.
Had no idea this was an older song until I read through some of the comments. In any case this was freaking amazing !!!!! Played this through my Smart tv and home theater system so I turned up the volume and shook the floors. ANY time I can do that I'm even more happy !! LOVED IT !!
Mean Everything to Nothing (album this comes from) is what put this band as one of my favs. The vocal performances make your gut clench from the intensity. It's fantastic. This version is amazing and is a more melodic interpretation that recontextualizes the song in a beautiful manner, but the album version is different in a way that's worth checking out. That is to say, if you haven't already been compelled to indulge in the album after this video, which I suspect you might've lol. It's crazy how good this band has executed an evolving sound.
When I heard the new version of this in 2018 in Seattle it completely blew my mind, love that I can revisit those memories through this video now! Keep slaying guys, and make sure Andy Prince keeps up on his squeebs.
I feel like they intended to re-create the hottopic live version here, which was always my favorite way to listen to this song. But they made it even tighter and heavier. This was fucking perfect, guys!!
How did this song get better and better over the years? It’s recognizable from the original but somehow extremely better. This song aged like fine wine.
Andy Prince moves can be unmatched. When I saw them in November 2022, he had half the stage to himself because he needs that space to unleash the moves. That, in and of itself, was entertaining af! 😂
Love how they are STILL rocking out with the same energy and passion after all these years. Makes me feel like we really are the generation of eternal youth, being the bridge between the industrials and Gen-Z 🥲. (Corrected what said millennial in Gen-Z’s place. Too excited from song 🙃)
I remember seeing them play this on the Abbey Road TV show years ago. This song was written in response to people calling them an Emo band after their first album.
I cannot believe I have not seen you guys live yet! I'm not sure I've ever seen you come through Raleigh (always Charlotte). Regardless, I need to remedy this ASAP. Killer version of an awesome song!
