A Manchester Ship Canal Cruise On Mersey Ferries, Covering Almost The Whole 58 Km (36 Miles App.) Salford To Liverpool. A Rare And Fascinating Insight Into Our Industrial Heritage
Hi David. We did this probably the Summer before Covid. Couldn’t fault the trip. We actually had two hours in Liverpool. Apparently this doesn’t apply to all trips. You can start from the Salford or Liverpool end. In any event you get a return coach to the point of origin. Unfortunately ( as you said), cruises seem to be suspended for the moment. I noticed they did one to Ellesmere Port too. Wasn’t aware of this
I'd love to do this - whatever the weather. When was this? When you uploaded or before? I've looked online and this cruise doesn't seem to be available anymore, which is a shame because the old boat is absolutely lovely. The newer and larger mersey ferry boat is nice too, but not quite the same. I heard rumours that there's too much silting in the Salford docks area, which is why they stopped. Hopefully, once they've dredged it they can resume? Great video.
Hi Peter. At the time it cost around the £40 pound mark. Don’t know what the current situation is or even if there still running. Check out the Mersey Ferries website. Take care.
