Let's be honest the attitude of a number of those United players tonight stunk out Old Trafford. Many of them clearly playing through the motions and minding themselves for the upcoming Cup final. The stature of that fixture simply didn't matter to most of them. No way would they have performed in that manner if points was required to finish 4th and supporters was in attendance. Liverpool in comparison fully focused for the win knowing their top 4 hopes are still alive and played their full intensity game helped along of course by hopeless United defending.
