Firstly, happy birthday Tito....I was 50 this year too. 👍 Just awesome mate...The Smiths are my favourite band of all time. I had a poster of them outside Salford Lads Club on my bedroom wall. Good to see the Peveril too, probably my favourite Manchester pub. I knew some of the others but learned a few new to me. ATB pal.
Thank you Chris, sorry I missed yours 🍾🍾🍾 it’s definitely worth a visit, they are really welcoming. The Peveril is fantastic, really like Britons Protection and the Old Nags Head is a must for any United Fans All the best Chris, thank you for keeping watching 👍
Usual Salford chip on the shoulder, always living in the shadows of Manchester, will always be a Manchester district, more Mancunian than Manchester itself.
@@williamburroughs3961 Hi William, you are right, although it’s the oldest building that eventually became a pub. Thank you for watching, hope you enjoyed 👍
There was a famous listed pub just opposite the Midland hotel. Next to a couple of sky scrapers. Tommy Ducks. One Saturday night around Midnight, one man with a digger Completly demolished it. No charges were ever brought. The Driver said, I got the wrong building
Happy belated birthday from New York great pictures my dad born in salford my gran lived her whole life there l was born in Longsight dad used to go to Smithfield market always brought home pineapples and coconuts
Wow, glad i found this. Always looking for nice old pubs with history around Manchester and a couple here i haven't been too. Will pop to them after the big match tomorrow. Normally i'm in the Sir Ralph Ambercrombe or Nags head when i go footy. By the way most people that i know dont call the Shakespeare by its name, we call it Primarks waiting room 😁. This is because its full of married men waiting for their wifes as they spend all the money next door. Good name also. My brother is called Tito strangely enough. Thanks for giving the time and making such a nice heart felt video.
Thanks Andy, glad you enjoyed it, love your name for the shakespere, sooner be in there than in primark 😂 I’m at the match today, but alas driving, hope it’s a good day, all these pubs are fantastic, there are some belters in Edinburgh too, so please check out that vid also 👍
@titothetroddler Yes will definitely watch the Edinburgh videos. Your other videos have now caught my eye funny enough 🤣. My profile name is Ultra as you can see. Ultramarathons! The Lap windermere. What a coincidence. Not done that one yet strangely but 100% know all about it. I do the Lakeland 100 each year though so that's my fix of the Lake district. If you search 'Trail Running Couple'...they are my friends and they have videos of 'The Lap' which you might like. Enjoy the match today. It should be a good one. It normally is.
@@AndyUltra if you’ve done the Lakeland 100 the lap would be a doddle for you, my channels a bit mixed up, I don’t focus on one thing, just anything that I enjoy, so bit of running, bit of ultras, bit of travel, bit of history, bit of pubs and more than a tilt at wild camping, I know Gary and Cheryl’s channel it is excellent, I contacted Gary about kit and he was incredibly helpful, good guy, not sure I have anymore ultra in me, but never say never 😅👍
@titothetroddler ha ha, spoke with Gary and Cheryl yesterday. Yes, I'm in the same boat...Love my running, oldie pubs and lots of history. Only do the camping for races. Getting too old for pitching and packing up tents I tend to say to myself these days 😁.
The wild camping is my medicine, I don’t do it often enough, I simply love it, just fabulous thinking time, I can even tolerate they odd uncomfortable sleep, also I’ve got a weakness for buying tents 😂 what ultras you got planned for next year?
A wonderful and unique way to spend a big day with your family. And thank you for recording the day and experience. You all did very well - that's quite a shift. Happy Half Century Troddlemonster.. Cheers 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🤔
@@titothetroddler I may have even found the football bits interesting, certainly the music history. As for talking after pub 12.. well.... What do you think?
