You could use a protractor and mark points based on angles also. That's easy

I didnt expect they would use perpendicular bisectors concept in Mandala art. Tq for this amazing tutorial. It gives me interest to jump onto my table, grab a compass and pencils and few markers and start drawing!!!! Tq again!

why to do it in a very old and complicated way? there are tools that would help you to divide this circle in 30 seconds!!
