Sarah, your work is simply gorgeous! You've inspired me to have a go. I love Mandala and this is amazing. Clear instructions will make it easier for a beginner like me! Thanks for sharing. One Love 😀
Thankyou SOOOO much, this was just what I was looking for & it just fell in my lap. Liked & sub'd .. I've watched a couple of your tutorials today & will be watching many more. When I get to it, I'll let you know how my mandala works out👍🏼😊
Sarah Homfray for sure! I may not seem like I am around a lot but I come & go as I have many crafts going. Just started my mandala today, done the Centre flower & fly stitch & pistols. Then the chain & now I'm right in the middle of the French knots round .. I already like what I see. Cause I didn't have colours like yours on hand I had to come up with a colour scheme that would work with what I have in hand .. so it's a fire theme .. red, oranges & yellow. Gold, rust orange & some undecided sequins 😊👍🏼
Oooo so excited .. I'm getting to the end of this little big project! It's been easy at times & SOOOO frustrating too, but working through those frustrations pays off. I just have to finish my round of sequins & beads in between the petals, & then the final stretch with the beads & or sequins on the outer edge yay!! Can't wait to send you a link to where ever I post it. Your channel is extraordinary. I started to learn embroidery on RU-vid a little while ago & I don't know that I came across your channel?? I must have. .. but now I see the EXTENSIVE library of stitches you do tuts for & a lot more. Fantastic🙌🏽😊👌 Thankyou for your hard work on RU-vid 🎀
I have been trying to find the faceted sequins. time: 19:22 But haven been able to find them. It’s there a special store where I can buy them? Thank you!
I'm not sure where you are Maritza, so I suggest E-Bay! The faceted ones are usually easier to get than flat ones, so a quick search will soon bring them up...
I think what you've done is fantastic. Your step by step is very clear and the outcome? Wonderful!!! However I'm not so sure this detailed of a process is going to draw in many "first timers". Of course I'm speaking from my own personal frame of reference. But I'll certainly check back later after I learn some simple basic stitches. Kudos to your efforts! ***smiles***
Hi Núria, Yes it is linen with a calico backing and Madeira Lana thread. The linens and threads I used are all here: www.sarahhomfray.com/myshop/cat_315592-Threads-and-fabrics.html The good thing about a project like this is that you can use up a lot of your surplus scraps of materials and threads!
