Glad you enjoyed our review! We weren't too worried as we witnessed him washing hands extremely well, and the pizza was baked in the wood fired oven at a high temperature. As our visit was before Japan declared a state of emergency due to the coronavirus, we suspect that when the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo reopens gloves will be required for all food preparation.
