I am ashamed to admit that I ve never realized Guru Srinivas' value when he was alive. All I can do now is to remember him and his greatness through my tears of gratitude.
I have been hearing Mandolin Srinivas the over years. His mastery over the instrument is unparalleled. His rendering is soulful - for every one. God has been unkind to the human community by taking him away. His song ( Bindu malini ) can be herd for any number of times and you will feel like hearing more and more... I still remember having mt him as a young lad of 13 at Coimbatore, when he exchanged words with all . A very gentle and nice artist he is.
This child at around 8 years is rendering Bindumalini so effortlessly. If goddess Saraswathi was in him how could he die at 46 . Truly a child prodigy. Truly blessed by kunnakkudi
It is definitely a fact that Goddess Saraswati dwelled in him 🎉🎉🎉. That has nothing to do with his life span. Beg to differ. Carnatic Music misses him ever so much❤🙏🙏🙏
I don't know if it's just music or also by some of the comments, I suddenly broke into tears, uncontrollable yet not filled with regrets. Some strange emotion indeed. I raise my hands if such music can do that so far away. Can't imagine the audience's reaction..
D.K Jayaraman was on the dais when Shrinivas presented his maiden concert at Coimbatore. Venue was St Thyagabrahma aradhanai in Venugopalaswamy temple. D K J felicitated young shrinivas as' Gharbha seeman'. Tears are rolling as Iam typing this.Great stalwarts, Valangaiman:thavil, Tanjore Upendran ,Sikkil Bhaskaran were the accompaniments.
I had the privilege of seeing this great maestro in the year 1981 (he was a small boy) at Thyagaraja Aradhana at Nellore .. he gave a stunning performance that day .. concert was arranged by the great SPB. It is our misfortune that he left this world at such a young age.
Such was the talent of U Srinivas that even great Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan is standing beside the stage and enjoying the rendition. No doubt.. one of the best renditions of Entha Muddo - Bindumalini. Tyagaraja swami must have also enjoyed this rendition
I love his music... I also love his wonderfuld smile which he gives to the fellow musicians and his father time to time lifting his head... God bless his soul..🙏
This proves that talent is present in all and can be shown at any age limit. U srinivas sir at this age also is really a gem in the heart of music.👏👏👏👏👏👏
Music is something divine , its something more than talent. it comes for people who are really blessed. he is a true prodigy !! I'm sure this knowledge will be carried forward even in his next birth, no wonder world wil come across such a blissful music once again.
Tears flowing non stop from my eyes, as like his music, see his child like face, creating what is called as gandharva raagam. Even though its going to be a year now, cant digest the fact that he is no more :(
Brilliant, gentle genius. This is a treat to eyes, ears, and mind to watch this tiny lad wield the instrument with such authority and mastery. What stage presence. I am sure those in the audience were absolutely transfixed!
Is that TN Krishnan sir on violin?!!! what a performance! He was indeed a boon to mankind!! HE inspires millions!! We miss you Srinivas Sir! You left a majestic legacy!!
Unbelievable to see teenage vidwan U .Srinivasan. Heart-touching and tears overflowing to see him playing, only to make himself eternal for ever.!!!Thanks for uploading. Innocent Face, enjoying his own music and tuning Devaganam through his mandolin. Unparalleled genius, yet feeling proud to be his contemporary citizen.!!! Krishna.
This is the most unkindest production on the earth by the merciful God,who was so eagerly dragged away this beautiful production from the earth with out allowing us to realise its beauty completely
It looks like the other instrument players were putting very high efforts to keep up with him. This boy was a genius and truly deserved his dec 23 slot.
Wish I would have known of him when he was physically present in this world. If only I would have grown up listening to such a devine expression of gratitude and happiness 🙏
The one who reprised carnatic krithis on western instrument called mandolin is this genius, wizard of music Shri.mandolin Ji.He tore off the barrier of language and castism in southern India. 🙏
Recall very young U .Srinivas, very nearly ,this innocent face...Superbly performed in Key's High school Secunderabad ,with his dad ,his Gr8 Guru by his side .🙏🙏🙏🙏(1980?!)
If I have heard it right, srinivas avl came to see a concert and sri kunnakudi avl who knew about his talent and wanted him to play on stage. Ppl in know may correct me. Looking at him standing beside and the mridangam player enjoying shows how large hearted they are, giving center stage to a 9 yr old boy. And the boy he didn't let them down.
No words to say! it is nice to hear and forget all mundane worldly thoughts and find peace in oneself. He is gifted by that almighty. he will live for ever in the heart of music lovers
