Kudos to the Mandolin player here, Ray Jackson…Rod wrote with so much intimacy and said so much about the song and the instrument…I hoping people are still listening years from now…Peace, Love, and Joy to everyone….

at 65 I grew up with a ton of music. Mandolin Wind is to this day, my favorite song ever written.

Of all Rod Stewart’s songs I have to say this tune and “Handbags and Gladrags” are my most favourite ones.
