I uploaded another tune for today, but then jeez I realized I had the PERFECT Labor Day Tune! "Reel des Ouvriers" means "The Factory Workers' Reel" and it's a pure-laine classic of Québécois fiddling! Great tune that I've played many times but a bit tricky and notey on the mandolin. I asked my dad to play guitar for me on this one!

This tune puts me in mind of “Phil The Fluter’s Ball”. Great playing, thanks for sharing!

This is an Irish tune called The Traveller. I learnt it from a lovely old Irish fiddle player from Fermanagh called Charlie Montgomery about 20 years ago. Your rendition is exactly the same, note for note! I had actually forgotten all about this tune - it’s a cracker!

Love it! I know this one and play it (haven't in ages) but by another title, which escapes me at the moment. I love that you play with your dad, what a special treat eh. Happy Labour Day!

C'était sur le premier disque de la Bottine Souriante. On l'a tellement fait jouer qu'on entendait presque la toune a l'envers sur l'autre côté du disque!
