A very touching story. I will tell you I never lost a child and can’t speak from that platform, however my 9 year old daughter vanished while we took different routes back to the start of a three mile path around a public hammock in Palatka Florida. She had just met three other little girls and wanted to ride their bikes back together. My daughter didn’t show up and I went absolutely crazy running around that park, in and out and around every building I could find. I was insane with fear and sick to my stomach as I screamed at everyone I saw to look for her. Long story short, my daughter finally appeared safe and sound. The girls took a very small trail back that one of the little girls knew about but were not supposed to take that trail. When I saw my daughter tears filled my face, I didn’t know if to hug her or shake the daylights out of her. I must have cried and shook for at least another 30 minutes and could not form a sentence I just kept saying why and wondered if I would recover. That incident took years off of my life and has caused horrible nightmares for over 20 years. We don’t talk about that time as fear grips my heart the instant I start to think about it now some 30 years later. My heart goes out to this family and other families around the world that has had to go through not getting their child back. GOD be with you, may he bless and console these people as only HE can. I’m so happy they finally captured this pile of sick flesh that did this to this girl and her family. One thing is for sure he will pay a terrible price for eternity because I doubt he’ll never find the Lord Jesus Christ. I’ll leave it there.🙏

Doesn’t even bear thinking about. What a waste of a beautiful young life, all because some fucking loser who knew a girl like Mandy would never date a creep like him thought he had the right to take advantage of her & kill her in broad daylight. He had no remorse, he didn’t give a shit about anyone else but himself & getting caught. I’m disgusted he only got 27 years.. lock him up & throw away the Key! What breaks your heart is how talented she was pretty. With the drive she had she could have been anything and someone just decides to extinguish it. This is where people don't understand humans cannot govern themselves without law and somebody to back of the law. This one really affected my brother as she looked like his college sweetheart who'd been overseas in an immersion program and died there during a robbery gone bad. She was supposed to be back within the month they were planning on getting more serious. And it only been about a year he always loved her vivacious personality. When he saw the talent this girl had and her personality description in the paper it broke his heart because he thought what a lovely person to have been wrecked by someone who didn't care about who she was. I think it was because he could see her unlike most people as a real person and not just somebody written up in the paper as she reminded him so much of Jenny. Every once in awhile he would say you know they never have find out who did that really to the girl over there and we would discuss what we thought might have happened we knew it was someone in the local area simply because the dog was afraid. We figured the dog knew the person. Think my brother just took it too personal. It was so hard 3 years later he would be kidnapped and murdered by somebody who thought he had money but if they'd really been thinking the manager of the halfway house for the Salvation Army doesn't make a lot of money but they do need a college degree in social work. His body was never found. No they could not prosecute, though they found my brothers wallet his ID and the gentleman was filmed that night trying to use my brothers bank cards at the ATM. They also had my brothers checkbook which of course lead to them. For my family being from Washington we were worried did we have another Bundy? This was a beautiful girl she's out jogging with the family dog and she suddenly shows up missing and then she's dead. We were there the weekend Bundy kidnapped that girl from the lake. Our cousin was an exact copy of the girl he kidnapped. She was at that Lake I can tell you we were all locked down that summer including my cousin who was old enough to go out whenever she wanted but her parents were terrified. She fit his exact profile outgoing brunette sparkling just exactly what he would have liked. When this young woman came up missing our whole family was really freaked out did we have someone home on college break back in the state doing something? You never forget when you live in an area that had a serial killer that feeling of uneasiness and fear. It is nice to know this man can't hurt anyone else again. He might have held it in there's no guarantee. Usually they feel I got the one I wanted but it didn't stop the need but there's too much publicity. That's when they start killing the prostitutes because no matter how much Society likes to say oh we've changed We Care they really don't. Look how long the Green River Killer got away with his murders and they have not found all of them. Or the guy up in Alaska they just accidentally found a few and then that girl got away and that's when they were really able to catch him. There are still Killers out there doing the same thing all the time because they know it's easier to do the marginalized citizens then the ones that people will look at. I wouldn't be surprised this guy didn't do more than one problem is tying him to it or even finding it.

I didn't see any thing wrong in this or any of these cold case videos to render it as being bad. Maybe perhaps these people have killed some one and don't like to see how even after so many years a case can get solved or they new the murderer in these videos and just like all of them have no remorse and are cold hearted as well.

@ShinbiBelldandy
@ShinbiBelldandy 4 года назад
DNA is very tricky & some would argue it's an overstep to use someone else's DNA to catch someone else, which is why the use of public databases for DNA matches is so controversial. I'm 100% for it since it's public & DNA is left all over the place, so it's not against the law unless you break into my house & steal my dirty clothes or brush. Law enforcement officials have to be very careful & follow laws & procedures to a T because there have been cases where someone is guilty as sin & there's literally ALL THE EVIDENCE, but the case is thrown out. All though this is a fictional account, the movie An Eye for an Eye showed this in perfect detail. A teenage girl was raped & murdered in her home & the DNA recovered matched a serial rapist, but because the prosecutor didn't give the defense team the sample to conduct their own test (they cited not having enough as the reason), the judge threw out the case.

@@WonderWhatHappened That is true & he does have the legal right to appeal. All that would happen (& I hope is doesn't) is throw out the conviction but he would be able to be retried. Manley Nelson I'm aware of that. Perhaps I worded my response incorrectly. I didn't mean to imply they get the suspect's direct DNA. This story bothers me. The fact that it was so close to home, that the killer was essentially a stalker, and that he so ruthlessly tried to cover it up nearly 30 years after the fact is heartbreaking. I remember when this girl went missing but I'd lost track of the story. I was unaware that her body had been recovered so I thought she was still missing. I live in the next county. All I knew about her was that she was. a pretty blond girl. I knew nothing about all of her accomplishments. I'm amazed to learn how talented she was. She was truly amazing. I was also unaware that someone had finally been caught and sent to prison for this. I'm glad I found this video and finally have the missing pieces of the puzzle. It's always disturbed me that this girl had just vanished into thin air. Seems so clear now that young men living on that road should have been the first suspects. I've done a little research and I've learned that she's buried in a little Catholic cemetery near her family home. I'm going to go find her grave and pay my respects. I see cases like this where a long time after the crime it turns out to be someone who lived nearby and who you would expect would be questioned by the police. This guy was apparently not questioned by the police at the time when there surely would have been a limited number of suspects in a quiet rural area like this. It would be pretty obvious that the killer was very likely a local person, this guy actually lived on the road she ran down and she passed by his house. Why would they not have spoken to him even if only to find out if he saw something that day and to establish an alibi which is a lot easier to verify a day or 2 instead of 30 years later. What if they had taken the dog with them as they interviewed the limited number of people along that road, would the dog have reacted to the person?

I think he should be in jail, but there is no way that the DNA should have been included as evidence. She didn't get the idea on her own, she was asked by the FBI prior to collecting it. It is evidence that was collected illegally. If they truly thought it was his, why didn't they get his brother's (proper use of apostrophe) DNA and then show that the killer was a male sibling? It's a pretty strait forward jump from there to a warrant to get Timothy's DNA. Keystone cops in an authoritarian state that doesn't care if it collects evidence illegally! No one should have to give their DNA without a warrant, and it shouldn't be deemed suspicious to refuse a voluntary sample.

@@matthewbrooks5643 The DNA was not collected illegally under existing law. The DNA was collected from a plastic cup and coke can that was thrown away. The co-worker retrieved it. The Supreme Court held in California vs Greenwood a 1988 case that the 4th Amendment for illegal search and seizure does not apply to seizure of garbage because there is no expectation of privacy and is considered abandoned. Sorry but the FBI were within their rights to use the seized plastic cup and coke can as evidence.

He became obsessed with the victim and repeatedly tried to ask her out, but after she rejected him one too many times, he decided to take her by force and then killed her to keep her from identifying him. This same story has been repeated with different people in different places at different times - men who can't handle rejection and take out their frustration in violent ways.

@MattyClivingthedream
@MattyClivingthedream 4 года назад
@Vincent Cuttolo I call BS on you being stalked and the only person who doesn't get it is you. In other circumstances it maybe it is innocent, but the evidence in this case is clear. His behaviour is compulsive and his intention to harm is clear (remember the bit about him murdering her). The person doesn't need to know that they are being stalked to be classified as stalking.
@MattyClivingthedream
@MattyClivingthedream 4 года назад
@Vincent Cuttolo You are mistaking a legal definition with the true definition. In this case the person did stalk the victim. The victim is dead due to his stalking. Or are you saying that he just came across the victim and it was an impulsive act. It clearly wasn't impulsive as he had been following the victim around. As for your rant, it just proves to me that you were not a victim of anything and you clearly have no idea.
