LIA!!!!! So happy to be seeing you review this hair because I have worn it twice, and have been waiting to hear your thoughts. Long or Short: I like this hair long on you, but you always look gorgeous. The long was fabulous though, because it also caught all that awesome color at the ends. Mousse or Setting Lotion: I have used both the LottaBody coconut Mousse and the Nairobi Setting Lotion and have had no success with either of them. I would like to note though, I am wearing it in a faux hawk style and there is no real hang time other than in the front of my hair. I will absolutely buy the 14-in-1 because you and a few others have not stopped praising it. Curl Pattern vs the Wave: Velvet Wave is actually a wave, you are 100% right. The amazon wave pattern is also a wave, but when it is long, it is hard to see the waves because they basically curl. I wear it in such a short style though, the waves are definitely there and it looks similar to getting a silk press on a pixie cut on natural/unrelaxed hair, Which is FABULOUS! Texture and Slippage: The Amazon Wave is a coarser texture, for sure, which is annoying when you get it out of the package because it looks super soft. Still, I don’t mind this because it minimizes the slippage. YOU ARE 100% CORRECT, THIS IS NOT A 2 KNOTS AND YOUR DONE HAIR. You need to do at least 4 knots. I had invisible knots done on the perimeters, but even those needed some tension. The velvet wave is a silkier texture, and for me to make those stay, girl, I had to do some voodoo. Water and Active friendliness: I have preferred the hair after washing it, its almost like it becomes more friendly. I always deep condition my scalp after a wash, and then oil it too. It takes 2 to 3 days to air dry, but I don’t mind that. The combability is also a lot better when its damp and about to dry, but definitely not while soaking wet. I should note though, I also vinegar washed this hair before installing I agree this hair would not be vacation friendly, not at all. I have the amazon wave all up in the back + Velvet wave in the front right now, But I am taking this hair out this weekend to make room for my vacay hair. As lovely as this hair is, it will not do if I am going to be poolside or beachside for long stretches of time. Interestingly enough, I do think it is active friendly. I work out in this hair and never miss a beat. 😊 I have gotten 4 weeks out of this hair, and didn’t push it any further because I wanted my scalp to breathe. Still, I have worn this twice. And will continue to wear this hair until the northeast gets cold, because this humidity and my natural hair do not get along. You should try the Tiara wave - which is not a wave at all, it is definitely a curl. But it is cute for longer styles. Love your reviews!
allison hernandez maybe? The velvet wave would be better for that look. Though honestly, if you’re going for that look, mane concept has some great braiding hair for that - I define easy wave - it has a natural wave and is coarser which lends itself for some box braids. Best of luck. :-).

Gurl you is hilarious I luv that you keep it so real cuz we be needing to know whats really up with these hair brands and etc. I actually dont think it looked too bad by 4 weeks. I believe most of these crochet styles last about 3-4 weeks which is great so kudos for you giving it until 4 weeks. Thats why we love you for keeping it real. Thanks much
I agree with everything you said about this hair. I only did the Velvet Wave but had to take it out after 2 weeks. I washed it to help stop the slippage and the texture totally changed. I did keep mine at about 16 inches so not sure if I would have been able to keep it in longer if I had cut it shorter but I think not. I just didn't like the texture after washing. Super high Maintenance! On to Sassy Curl, lol. Thanks so much for the videos. They really help guide my chochet decisions.❤

I have been using Hawaiian silky since you recommended it. I have tree braids with Freetress GoGo curl and it's amazing! Keeps it so much softer than mousse.
I tried this exact look. The colors were lighter than expected. But this hair needed a lot of work & tangled a lot in the back/nape area. It was super cute for about 10 days. Just be prepared to cut, detangle, and work on this hair daily.

I have not worn crochet braids in over 25 years. I am 50, but after seeing your videos I might be giving them another try. Your hair is beautiful and so are you. It is very much a high maintenance hair. The first day I was like get em girl then the first week I was like ugggg! It really tangles around the neck area so my maintenance had been done at night and in the morning. I am still wearing mine long. But overall love the hair. I have received alot of compliments on it. Love your videos ❤
Shellnicole - La Belle Vie:Perfect Imperfect how does it feel Texture wise? I’m looking for a new style for my next install. I’ve been using outta batik hair, but looking for something a little less rough feeling. What does this feel like?
@@PsychGirlRaven it feels very soft the first day. As times goes on, it does get a little harder. But it still looks good. I really like it! This is not a hair that you don't have to maintain, I have to do something to it in the morning and night.
Shellnicole - La Belle Vie:Perfect Imperfect I’m mousing and detangling my hair 2 time a day anyway so i don’t mind the maintenance, I just am struggling with the scratchy feeling.
@@PsychGirlRaven you should be good. I do agree with her, double knotting did not work for me. Next time I do an install I will have to four knot the hair. It started slipping. I had to bobby pin the knots down so it won't look crazy.
I think it still looks good for 4 weeks!! I'll definitely give it a try maybe once the weather breaks for fall I'm sure it'll do great in cooler temps. Love your videos.

Your eyelashes in this video are gorgeous! I love your videos on crochet hair. I know you do makeup and clothing review and tutorials at different times. Perhaps you can do one of those eyelashes or similar because those things are kind of tricky to get on and you seem to be a pro at it

I LOVE your videos! I’m new to the crotchet world & your vids have been a life saver. It honestly looked beautiful but I could see the fullness after you watched it. I was looking for the waterfall curl for the Ms. Veteran America pageant I’m in next month but nobody has the color I want. I settled for the velvet wave. Now..I’m a fitness professional for a living so I am NERVOUS about this hair now since I sweat, but I usually use waterless shampoo & pull it up when I teach and workout. I just got amazon wave installed. It’s super long. Omg. I like the wave pattern. Hopefully it holds up for my birthday. I wanted to try something different.. well a wave. And I did not like the reviews for lulutress. Wish me luck

Ok First let me start by saying how much I LOVE watching ur videos and I have been following most of ur hairs for crochet braiding. I current have the MC waterfall and yes it has been a lot more work but the curls have lasted a long time. I was surprise you used mousse on this new hair even though it is pre stretched MC hair. That may be the issue. With the waterfall all I have used is the Hawaiian silky and it is easy to detangle and remove the frizz. I don’t think I will use this hair again. Next try is the Outre Bahamas curl. I love there product. Thank you and keep up the great work. 🙏🏾 u and ur family are safe during the hurricane.

May I suggest on your last couple of days of wearing your crochets to try using dry shampoo? On your roots and the synthetic hairs as well to see how the hairs withstand it? Im just wondering how it would be to "refresh" your hair instead of fully semerging your hairs in water. Just an idea. Cantu makes a great dry shampoo. Thanks for your videos❤❤❤

I've only been crocheting for two years, I have purchased many frizzy and plain old bunk crochet hair, until I stumbled upon your site, I had been taking chances hoping this particular crochet hair would be the one that did not frizz all day or tangle into a mess while installing, and is this hair worth all of my effort to install, can I wear it 3 weeks? I like you, I am not the strongest at corn-rolling and/ or braiding, before I buy any crochet hair I look up your thoughts first. Thank you so much for your thoughts,. I love the length on you, and live the look of both lengths! I might want to try this look! I’ve only used outre batix hair so far, how does this compare to it as far as softness? Your 4 week review showed it up close and it looked a little plastic like. Did you feel like it felt more rough after washing it?
kadianner I know I have heard all the issues 😩 I spent $75 dollars and I will be really upset 😡. I won’t be putting it in for 3 more weeks because I just had my old faithful $5 dollar a pack hair installed this weekend. I will let u know how it goes .

Thank you doll. They need a shorter version of this because it would defeat the purpose of the ombré color if you have to cut it off. Ugh. Come on Mane Concept. These companies need a long and shorter (say 14”) version.
What would you recommend for a similar look and curl pattern but a “better” hair that holds up after washing. I work out and sweat in my hair and can’t not wash it after a week passes.
