This game really connects once you make your way to the deep sea. Am somewhat impressed by the gameplay physics. It’s like you’re flying around but underwater. So many flying games fail, plus the on land physics. Feels like much more work was put into this game than it shows.
Fun Fact: The Apex Orca has a flop fin in reference to the shark hunting dynamic duo, Port and Starboard, a pair of orcas with flop fins that prowl the african coast hunting sharks for fun.
@@willrigdon1566 Illness, injury, starvation or toxins are the cause of dorsal fin collapse, that's what I found via Google. So Port and Starboard are nowhere near healthy.
17:20 YOo that's a disrespect move right there(a compliment). Fun facts:Orca aka Killer Whales always play around with its food like that before consuming. Sharks are usually their prey but this time our MC got a Punisher mood for her mama's friendsXD
We’ve seen Anime’s where the Main Protagonist is reincarnated as a Mythical Creature or an animal…but have we seen an Anime where someone is reincarnated as an evolving Shark? 🦈 I mean we’ve seen some people end up as a Spider, a Slime, a Dog, a Cat and few others I don’t know of……so why not throw in a Shark that can Level up and learn some unusual skills!
I still think it should have a choice at the end to spare or kill Pete. If you spared him, he would go to jail while the shark headed out into the open ocean.
who even cares about PETA? Stop giving them your attention. We all know they don't genuinely care for animals and would rather waste time bitching over things that's not actually abusive/harmful than actually help animals in need or even educate, especially in this instance.
So this baby shark evolved rapidly and became extremely powerful due to a traumatic experience caused by a hunter they ended up surviving? So this shark is just a deviant from Monster Hunter
The shark was 100% the villain. It’s clear sharks behave much differently in this universe. The opening cutscene…. He’s telling the truth. The rest of the game is us playing as the villain. Kyle and Scaly Pete deserved both deserved much better
Any of you guys notice how when you fist meet Pete as the mother he says look at them teeth you’re gonna make quite the mantle piece well when you fight Pete as our shark you can the mother shark’s jaws mounted on the front of the boat
Plot twist: at the end who ever didn’t know when the boat exploded with Pete and the shark the shark survived and Pete died all them years just to kill himself and disappoint his father legacy oof
SMH to bad this game got abandoned. We could’ve gotten dlc bosses based on the myths of the ocean…Megalodan,The kraken, the locness monster, and many more. Why make a game like this and don’t do anything else with it?
I would’ve killed for a Jaws DLC, basically Jaws Unleashed 2, where you terrorize Amity, coastal Massachusetts towns, Hell, Martha’s Vineyard for the Hell of it because that’s where Jaws was filmed.
Have you heard about the combo I made for the bone 🦈 all you do is use your ability and the use dodge on a boat or anything it would do slightly more damage
thats usefull, i know it too, and it can be made with all the mutations, they make different thinks, in mode, venom posions the ship and tripulation, that slowly dies, electric, it gets the boat stunned, so you can attack way more, and well, bone that does a hell damage, but gets you really damage(able) by the enemies
No one else noticed that the main shark you play was born from the womb like a mammal when they actually hatch from eggs that the mother spawned it bugged me for a while and how no one even mentioned it : /
Some sharks have those egg cases, others however are actually hatched internally. Like sand tiger sharks, they hatch inside their mother and eat each other for a bit before being born. Just like how some fish and reptiles don't lay eggs.
The fact that a bull shark has grown to such a size that it kills orcas and sperm whales on it's own begs the question - are we POSITIVE it's not secretely a freaking megalodon?
AS a father... That touch me a little when çI played the game a long with my boy... Like... I was seeing pete and thing "Man... Videogames now are so fucking cruel..."
@@thelordofthelostbraincells exactamundo, he also was smart enough to not be caught... but not smart enough to know that the scientist who tried to catch him once, wanted to breed him...so he accidentally turned down a crocodile herem.
Honestly, I feel bad for Pete. Yeah, it was horrible of him to mutilate the shark as a baby, but at the same time, he was raised to be a shark hunter like his dad. Not only that, but he lost his own son. And to quote a movie from my childhood: "If you lose your only son and don't go crazy, you're not human."
he's more responsible than the shark. he's the one who thought it'd be smart to try to light it on fire on-boat, so instead of seeing the fault of his actions, he's self-projecting onto the shark /he/ traumatized. it would've been avoided if he left the shark alone once it was proven that it wasn't the one he was looking for, doubt it was even doing anything other than minding its own business. he's the one who killed the shark's mother for no real reason, and there is no confirmation that the son is dead -- if the son turns out not to be, than it just shows pete is more of an asshole than he gives off. pete deserves all he gets.
I like to imagine the shark left him alive by choice to let the thought of kyles death sink in to make him suffer, to get revenge for her mother’s death.
I think they missed a boss, scaly mentioned the killer of his dad 11:17 a f*cking megalodon, maybe there a dlc or a sequel with a megalodon as a boss but we must to wait for it....
@@acorn_acrom The Mega is implied to be the Mother shark you play as in the beginning of the game, and Pete's trauma at losing his father made him imagine the shark as being significantly larger than it actually was. Hence why his fathers harpoon was in the Mother shark.
@@jonwilliams8608 Our shark wasn't even born at the time. Also Scaly Pete said it himself that our sharks mother wasn't the one that killed his dad either.
I 100% the game, but I always felt bad for Scaly Pete. the fact that his son just wanted to spend time with him, but in the end because of his dad's obsession... and then Pete goes crazy, when if you think about it it was Petes fault for POURING GAS ON A SHARK ON A TINY BOAT!!!!
Kyle died because he didn't get off. Pete told him to, but Kyle refused and got even closer to the gas tank, if Kyle got off, Pete probably would have still survived and both of them would have been alive. Kyle was just stupid for trying to extinguish a giant gas fire with a normal fire extinguisher.
i agree, he is just stopid, but scaly whas too smug, thinking the sharnk is just another one, i have a theory, the canon game, si without mutation, that was my theory, since i knew the DLC when the DLC descriptions mentions the shark mutation, i'm making it, but i still thinking that the canon thing is without mutations, since none of them are REALLY neccesary, without of them, with to much skill (i'm in that thing, trying to do it, is hard, not impossible) the bone thing are not neccesary for anything, they help with boat fights, but you can still fighting normally without them, venom pack is for moving and doing extra damage to creatures, but you can still doing it all, the elctric is for fighting marine creatures, but again, not neccesary, just a help, thats why i think it, canon is without mutations, that makes it a hungry shark-rtx? maybe
Very underrated game. The sound effects, the smooth graphics, the absolute banger of soundtracks and great narration/storytelling. And the satisfying gameplay. Overall a diamond in the rough.
If they made a sequel to this game, these would be my ideas for the sequel: -The Striped Slayer: The Tiger Shark -The Danger from Down-under: The Saltwater Crocodile -The Tusked Torpedo: The Pacific Walrus -The Arctic Ambusher: The Polar Bear -The Toothed Terror: The Leopard Seal -The Amazonian Annihilator: The Anaconda -The Furious Furrball: The Stellar Sea Lion -The Deep Sea Diver: The Colossal Squid
How about the mind control muderer from beneath lake vostok aka "Organism 46 b" a GIANT Octopus with shapeshifting abilities AND hallucination inducing ink...and vould visit mariana for an incredibly massive angler fish or somthing
The story of Scaly Pete is really sad. He may not have been close to his dad, but even then, he still wants to carry out his legacy of catching the mega shark. He also wanted to be a better father than his dad for his son. As he said, he wanted his university profession to work out for him. Only for his son to get eaten by a mega shark. Seeking revenge, Pete went as far as to break several laws just to avenge his son, and his dad.
rich people: lets eat these relatively neutral animals but only the fins and put em in a weird soup sharks:(mutate to become more violent and aggresive to survive) rich people: i knew all along that they were evil! sharks: 𝙘𝙪𝙚 𝙟𝙖𝙬𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙚
Imagine if Kyle had one extra stone. He might have been able to tell off his dad: Dad: "Ain't they discover new species all the time?" Kyle: "Yeah, but almost never ones that have been dead for millions of years, and MUCH less those that would not be able to survive in the current ecosystem. I mean, we don't have that many big fish for even bigger fish to feed on, much less sustainably. There'd be a bigger shark when there'd be bigger fish overall."
That makes me wish it had been Kyle who survived instead, and that because of his incompetence he would have seen his Pa eaten alive. And that that would traumatize him enough to become as deranged and determined as his Pa, to use that Marine Biology studies to search how to best kill the shark and become more yeh savvy, to justify him coming “last” as a final boss.
Look up Gustav the crocodile, he's pretty close. He was a giant nile crocodile that has killed at least 300 people and is confirmed to have a hide so thick that he was completely immune to small arms fire. The locals would literally unload AKs trying to kill the damn thing when the their government put a bounty on him. Edit: here's a good video about Gustav ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KUlYmgVWeQU.html
@@DensilGrant I'll admit the 'It's bulletproof!' stories might be tale tales but the rest seems to be true. here's a wikepedia page that has links to sources you might find more trustworthy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustave_(crocodile)
@@Athetos_Admech just wanted to point out the obvious (hide too thick he’s completely immune to small firearms) yet had AKs unloaded into it? If it had AKs shot at it it’d become Swiss cheese.
fun fact: most sharks don't actually like the tast of humans, they mostly attack as a case of 'mistaken identity', and are known to 'cough up' what they bite off.
he survives, i got 2 theories, 1. the canon ending is withotu mutations, truth quest is not canon, but it slowly gets down, just by thinking, and 2. the canon fight is with bone pack, thats how he survives, but when you survive in free play mode, you got a scarf where the bone head is located, so it maybe gets up 1st theory, it's hard
This game seems a lot more inspired than I initially gave it credit for. That cityscape is beautiful. And I love all the hunters. So much character. It all looks like very silly fun. Thanks for the vid.
do DLC, if you like it much, re play, upgrades are really usefull, just that, the good ones, the newest ones, are hard to go up, without doing history, because after a time they become sick with prices, but believe me, if you know or is your 3rd time playing, you will gonna have fun, you mostly know locations and how to up them easily, so you can catually get them faster, the DLC is just better, "need more mineral, nutrients, etc"; np, DLC has a lot of missions, and since the update, you can do the first 3 missions of DLC, so they make you get like all,
they both has their motivations, atleast at the final battle, but in the first one was just for sport, "just another shark" in final battle: scaly pete: loses his son because of shark lamia(shark): loses her-his (i don't remember it's name, i thinkg he is male, but i don't really remember, just ignore that...) mother because of scaly pete. they both wants to kill each other, vengeance
yeh, but fact, you onlye need to get level 4 of mania (i don't remember the name of that but you need to kill 4 of them) the rest are optional, they act more as a tutorial, because since level 9 you get the grab-throw bombs-torpedos to anti shark shields, thats the only use, a "tutorial" of scaly pete
11:25 Well like the Narrator said, the Ocean is vast and mostly unexplored. And it's said that during the extinction the Ocean life didn't suffer as much as the land dwellers. Coelacanths are already proof of this, so a Megalodon existing somewhere deeper within the big blue won't be too surprising. We barely know much about the planet we live in
@C D well animals evolve and adapt to new environments. But, again. The ocean is large. There is a lot we don't know. You're right, due to its size it'll need a large food source as well. But we still don't know what's down there. Maybe Great White is Megalodon but shrank to survive?
