Damiano has a natural raspy voice that's not an effect. Also he is working with a vocal coach for some time. His tone of voice is so unique, raspy but very powerful and this performance is testament to that. Yes, he is a smoker, but his voice sounds amazing aka he is taking good care of her. In this video he was singing efortless. Of course sometimes he may sound a little tired but when you have to sing nearly 2 hours at a 2 days schedule it s insane, not to mention that he is pure energy. You should also check torna a casa the unplugged version or la paura del buio from radio italia. Damiano is a passionate singer above else, but also a consumate professional who obviously takes care of him and his voice and it tells

But he needs to protect his voice from harmful substances, such as nicotine. Do you know how many singers lost their vocal range due to cigarettes 🚬 plus smoking effects the lungs , if he wants a long career then he needs to protect his voice.

He explained in an interview that he has a congenital malformation in his vocal cords. They are separated and the air passes through them, creating this raspy sound 😉

If you haven't seen it I feel like you should check out their Torna a Casa acoustic performance to see the softer side of Damiano's voice and the attention he pays to dynamics. You can really hear parts where he puts on the rasp and moves out of it. But there are some great performances out there like Amandoti and Le parole lontane where you get to hear a softer side to the voice.

I've seen him using the tube and water on some pre-gig clips, and he definitely does take care, even wearing a mask prior to performances, even before Covid.

Actually Maneskin have many more fans outside than inside my country (Italy). There are many Italians who judge them for anything. For this reason Damiano wrote Zitti e Buoni, In nome del padre and Lividi sui gomiti. If you read the lyrics you will understand. Greetings from 🇮🇹.

Nah, this si simply not true. The haters are just that, a small part of frustrated people. Italians voted for them in Sanremo, their album Teatro D’Ira is double platinum, Zitti e Buoni has four platinum, I wanna be your slave two. Every single concert from December 2021 to April 2022 is sold out. Come on, Italy loves them.

It's not a good idea to suggest her that performance. She wants perfection, and Damiano wants to make us feel the song and this is the reason why I love him. You can listen the studio version if you want perfection, I prefer emotion in a singer

Cool reaction, I did see that Damiano had a vocal coach, she appeared briefly in their first tour documentary! He seems to take care of his voice with the exception of the smoking but nobody's perfect. 🤣

Well, I’m a 62 yo female, and I love Maneskin! I’m not hiding anything either. I went to many concerts…that’s when we could just light one and pass it around. I don’t know why so many haters came out of the woodwork…this band is fabulous! The musicality, singing and Damiano’s style…all top notch. You are always gonna have haters. They are miserable in their little world and try to make everyone else the same. My suggestion to them…FO!

He said he smokes 10 cigarettes a day. Watching their videos where he sometimes smokes, pleople tend to believe he smokes a lot!!! He can sing with a raspy voice or with a very clear voice. Check out their other songs if interested. ;)

The comment about the voice is totally true. We have another Lead singer in Italy, Luciano Ligabue that had a natural raspy voice because of a sickness he had in his youngness. So for him to sing raspy seemed a kind of natural gift. But after several years doing that he stopped for more than 1 year to take care of it and doing medicals. So totally well said to monitor constantly the vocal cords.

The video kept freezing after you stopped it so many times. Also , the gravel was not mucus - it's from smoking cigarettes. Damiano needs to stop smoking bc it will eventually effect his singing at some point.
