One manga down!
Final batch! These are the Top 50 characters who got the most panel time/exposure in the manga.
I used the physical manga to count, from Volume 1 to Volume 23, it's 205 Chapters plus the extra or side story chapters. I also counted some of the additional scenes. If you already read the manga, you know those additional scenes for sure. I only added the ones that are connected to the main story or particular chapter. If it's just a regular sketch then it's not counted. I also added the 8-panel comic about the story behind Shinobu and Mitsuri's uniform. From what I remember, Sanemi was also an extra there, he got 1 panel count from that one.
This is counted per panel. If one character was drawn in one panel multiple times then it's only counted as 1.
For example: if there are five Kasugai crows in one panel then that's only counted as one, okay?
Another example: when Tanjiro used the Flowing Dance technique and you'll see a bunch of Tanjiros in one panel, that's only counted as 1, okay? You don't count every single Tanjiro in one panel

I didn't bother to count the Swamp Demon's panels separately. So, if there are three Swamp Demons in one panel, I only counted them all as 1 panel and one character. Unlike with Hantengu, I counted his five clones or personas separately.
I separately counted the panel count of the characters' crows from the random Kasugai crows, as long as it's recognizable that it's a character's own crow. Tanjiro's crow panels were counted separately.
I recount this whole manga 4 times! It was the first time I've read Demon Slayer and this is also the first-ever manga that I count, so during that time I'm still getting used to counting the panels. I'm still studying the panels. There's a trial and error process. I had to recount it 4x to make sure I didn't miss a single panel of each character. It means after I counted 205 Chapters, I will go back to Chapter 1 and start recounting each character's panels until I reach Chapter 205 once again. I did that 4 times. That's not included the number of times I recount each character's panel in every chapter. I recount each character's panels up to 20 times, sometimes I get stuck counting one character's panels for few hours because the chapter is too chaotic and complicated to count. It really takes a lot of recounting and analyzing. I analyzed every corner of this manga for months.
This is the rule that I set for myself:
I have to get 3 consecutive times of the same total count of one character's panels.
For example:
First count = 50
Second recount = 50
Third recount = 50
If I got it right three consecutive times then it's cleared! I can finally move on to the next character(though I will still go back to that chapter when I recount the whole manga)
Recounting is a must cause sometimes it gets this messy...
First count: 60
Second recount: 62
Third recount 58
Sometimes every time I count the total is always different. That's how complicated it is to count the panels, that's why I end up recounting one character's panels over and over again up to 20 times until I get the same total for three consecutive times.
Also, this is originally a commissioned project of mine. I'm just sharing this with you here. Someone already paid me to do this data work on manga, not this video but just the manga data. This is the first manga project that I've finished for my senpai.
