i dont even care I just SWIPE that card and BOOM 60 something dollars and 5 dollars more since i always get starbuck inside there 😭but ehhh i forget about it after i start reading
It’s kind of sad how Barnes and Nobles isn’t international. They have such great offers on manga’s but it’s not in my country so I can’t help but feel envious since I have to always get my manga so expensive and can hardly find any!
Yeah, I would've wanted to get some manga in English, although I'm really happy that last year we finally started to get licensed manga in Ukrainian here 🥰 And there's quite a few great series too!
This makes me so jealous 😭 the largest comics/manga shop near me is 30mins away which isnt that far luckily but im pretty sure the selection is still less than B&N
I remember I started collecting takane and Hana in middle school when it was first being published in English and I completely over looked the age gap! 😭😭 I thought Hana was like 20💀💀 I went to reread the series and when I saw the age gap I was like-- wait W u t. And it sucks because it was really funny it's just not as high ranking for me because of the huge age difference. 😔
I don’t know why the author made the characters have such a large age gap! I have heard so many great things about the series, but haven’t gotten around to reading it because of the age gap!
fr I read the whole series a few years back and it was my favorite Shōjo series ever but I looked at it again (since I bought the special volume) and I was kinda sad because it was so cute and the art was amazing but the age gap kinda made me lose interest in it now
I feel like crying just watching this video😭. Our city doesn’t really have a nice bookstore that sells manga. But just watching this vid is enough to satisfy me somewhat🥲
I can kind of relate. In my country there's only one shop I think that sells manga and the one that is the closest to me has only 1 small bookshelf designated for it. I love going there but I still wish they added more
If you haven't watched or read toilet bound hanako kun yet I would recommend it. It is so good I absolutely love it and tokyo revengers is one I really love. The manga are amazing for both the art style for hanako is just beautiful to me.
Food Wars was the first series I actually ended up completing on my own. I've been collecting manga for forever, but it was the first series I collected every volume of. It was also what got me into cooking, honestly. I love it so much ♥
I suggest Yotsuba! It's my favorite manga of all time, Its about a young girl (kinda like anya) With her single dad moving into a new place! Super cute!
Wow, seeing the selection they have here is crazy. In canada, our main retail bookstore is like a tenth of what was in this video. Makes collecting series so difficult :(
I really want to collect The Girl from the Other Side... not just for the story but because the title has Gaelic in it which is my mother before my mother's tongue. The rough translation is Siúil, A Rúin: Walk, oh love. The only problem is that they spelled it like Rún stead of Rúin (which is the proper spelling in Irish.)
Seeing vids like this make me so happy and hopeful that there’s places with so much stuff. Only recently (as in the second half of this year) have bookstores near me JUST started stocking up and expanding thier collection. When I was starting to get into manga, the nearest store had like 6 aot volumes. Plus most are pricey, so I can’t wait to find stores like this overseas!
this barnes and noble is so good ?!?!? mine is small and doesn’t have a very big selection of manga. last time i went looking for bleach they had one single volume of bleach. one. and skip beat??? are you kidding i’ve been looking everywhere for that 😭 anyway loved the video !!
I haven't read an Incurable Case of Love but one of my favorite youtubers has so i know what its about. To answer your question, yes its about doctors! Its about this girl who met a doctor and he helped her in some way i think? So she takes up medicine and starts studying to become a nurse, and when she does she goes to the hospital where he works so she can work there and it goes from there!
That’s B&N in Clackamas! That’s the closest one to me. But I’ve also been to the location in Tigard and also Hillsboro! The Hillsboro location is great and in my experience the parking has been good too!
@@purplefrogYT I started getting into all sorts of Japanese stuff, and last year I got hooked on manga. I read Death Note, Chainsaw Man, and yesterday I got the first three volumes of Spy x Family. At the end of November, the 9th Naruto book comes out (25-27 vols) with a poster inside!!!!
I saw you pass my love mix up (I don't know if you already have it because you have a large collection) but I think you may like it. Its a BL Romcom with lots of funny parts which will keep you hooked. The story is quite fast pace but I personally find it easy to keep up with the plot. Would recommend its one of my favorites :D
I was so sad you didn’t mention In the land of leadale It’s such a fun series It’s a mix of Comedic slice of life fantasy and is a good thing to read or watch when you want something wholesome to make you smile and laugh
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I love to see other people talking about their interest in Food Wars. It's one of my favorite manga series and not that many people talk about it which is big sad. Also, love the video!!! The manga selection at that Barnes and Noble is bigger than my future. It's so huge!!!!! And the amount of stuff they have I am simply blown away!!
@@purplefrogYT SAME!!! It constantly feels like a battle to the death every time. Even if it's a drawing the food looks amazing and even though I don't know a lot about food/cooking in general it feels like the characters put a lot of thought in what food to make and how to better their cooking abilities! It truly a shonen battle manga!! That location is so awesome compared to my local Barnes and Noble selection I WISH I could shop there my jaw dropped when I saw how huge it is :0
I have a recommendation for you if you pause at 6:11 there is vol. 2, 3, and 4 it's called little devils. The art style is very cute and it's just so adorable and funny
I actually got the first volume of Thigh High, and the best I can explain it is it’s a slice of life comedy that talks about random struggles Highschool anime girls face, except the characters are all men/boys in skirts. It’s honestly hilarious lmao
I saw volumes of bride stories (or a bride's story, I think that's the english title) and you should definitely check this series out, it's amazing and the drawings are breathtaking great video as always!! (also have you read/watched the yakuza's guide to babysitting?)
I will do! I have seen the covers and the art is stunning! i have not read nor watched the yakuza's guide to babysitting, it sounds really cute! what is it about?
@@purplefrogYT it's about a yakuza who gets tasked to... babysit the boss's 6 years old daughter and it's ADORABLE!!! I loved the first season so much I think I'm going to buy the manga soon!
I've always wanted to buy all of the mangas of Haikyuu but there's no English-translated mangas in any bookstores that I know of here in Japan and buying volumes online takes more than a week to arrive. I can't help but feel envious of you, lol.
@@purplefrogYT it's about this boy who's invisible to all of high school, some doesn't even notice that he's there. But she does, and she wants to help him stand out. I've only read the first manga but I rlly like it!!
I've accepted the fact that I don't have enough discipline to not blow my budget when it comes to book shopping. I will say I haven't bought manga in YEARS because I will go bankrupt with that addiction.
If you're going to watch Way of the Househusband, I suggest the live action instead. The anime is a series of still images with minimal movement in the mouth, because the mangaka didn't want anything 😂
I got kiju #8 volume 1,2,3,4 otw with a mha funk pop pin . Plus i should get getting a extra gst on the 4th so ill be going out to time master to buy one peice volumes .
Can someone explain and answer this to me plss 1. is the manga from the book and the manga from the website the same? 2. Is it worth buying a book like you can read it for free in the website like google? 3. And last why people are buying manga book? is it For hobby or for collection something?
1. Yes it is ! 2. It depends on the person some prefer physical and some prefer reading digitally 3. There are many reasons to get physicals! I like collecting and reading them :D
@@purplefrogYT Your welcome and it was okay tbh it was one of those "bl" that isn't a bl like how ppl call banana fish a bl but it isn't classified as one to some people it was a while ago so I can't recall my opinion on it I do apologize
does anyone know what’s going on with fangs vol. 2 not being in bookstores or online bookstores?? at this point i think i’ll just order it off of amazon because this is ridiculous..
I have a recommendation for you if you pause at 6:11 there is vol. 2, 3, and 4 it's called little devils. The art style is very cute and it's just so adorable and funny
