Hi friends. We went Manga shopping!Did you see any of your favorite manga? We couldn’t find some previous recommendations at the bookstore but we will try to get them online in the future if we don’t find them at other locations next time. What should we try collecting next?

Summertime Rendering is another good sci-fi mystery manga - I just remebered it when I saw it in the video. It's a pretty short series too at 6 volumes, highly recommend it. Of the Junji Ito story collections, Shiver, Tombs and Lovesickness are three of the best imo. Alley is a new release, but I've seen some positive reviews for it so it's one I'll probably pick up myself next month. Kazuo Umezz is another good horror manga author who has a lot of older works from the 70s and 80s that have been getting english releases in recent years, such as 'The Drifting Classroom' (3 volumes), 'Orochi' (4 volumes) and 'My Name Is Shingo' (ongoing releases, 2 volumes currently available).

@@stevengn7647 great recommendations. We have the first 2 volumes of Summertime Rendering and The first for Orochi. The Drifting Classroom is one I’ve been wanting to read but I forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me it exists! We will have to make a list.

Regarding the Akira volumes you saw - I think the reason they're flipped is because that was the format they released in originally in the west years ago, similar to a traditional comic book. I'm not certain of this, but I think Akira might have been one of the first manga ever released in the west?

My manga recommendation is Slam Dunk- it’s a sports manga, in my opinion it’s better than haikyuu and blue lock. The manga is campy at first, but it gets better. Takehiko Inoue the author of Slam Dunk, is also the author of the famous works of vagabond and real.

@@MangaProtocol I’m currently reading Boys abyss. It’s definitely explicit but it’s about a boy who wants to commit a lovers suicide with this girl he basically just met. But there’s a lot of manipulation, betrayal, and death between him and who he thinks are the closest people in his life. What about you guys?

You didn't mention it in the video, but you touched Mao! That's one of my favorite current series right now. It's by Rumiko Takahashi, creator or InuYasha! I recommend it.

@@DeShawnBlueford I actually read all of what’s available for Dan Da Dan so far it’s so good. I can’t wait to read more. I ended up reading all of it on the Shonen Jump app since I couldn’t wait but I only got the first physical volume so far. Have you read anything else similar to Dan Da Dan?
