ಚಿಕನ್ ಕನ್ಪಿರ್ ಪಿಯಾವ್
This is a special Mangalorean chicken curry made without any coconut.
The main ingredients here are onions and Coriander seeds.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE MASALA:
Cinamon stick 1
Cardamom 2
Cloves 5
Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Pepper 8-10
Onions 4
Garlic cloves 7-8
Long dry chillies 10-12
Short red chillies 3
Coriander leaves with stem- handful
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Ingredients for the Curry :
Chicken 1 to 1.5 kg
ghee 2
oil 3 tbsp
1 large Onion sliced
1 large Tomato
Salt to taste Method :
Add ground masala and masala reserved water.
Adjust the consistency of the curry to medium thick.
Give good boil for 4-5 minutes and switch off the flame
you can garnish with the tadka of 1 tbsp ghee and 1medium size fried onion
