I just saw this film and damn, it’s so nice and authentic-raw and somehow a window of the real world. I love it very much especially how great the actors were. I didn’t want it to end :(

The kinda movie you don't want to end..GREAT!!

This is a movie for a different state of mind / heart. It will not resonate with all but can speak to many within the well developed characters and storyline presented.The acting was very believable and the actors had wonderful charisma and authenticity. I wouldn't judge this movie on it's trailer. It's much more layered, like human existence. If one can go deep within to the introspection of the storyline, there is a jewel here. If you like good Woody Allen flicks.....this is worth a watch. I personally enjoyed seeing the differences in peoples belief systems, ways of life, morals, judgements, and all the human journeys we've all experienced in one way or another. This movie definitely deals with both feminine and masculine perspectives out there in the matrix. It's not too deep and not too heavy, it's kind of a fun parody / exaggeration of different human journeys.

Everyone is a film critic all of the sudden? The movie is good it isn't as bad as everyone's saying go watch suicide squad or something

I love movies like this. It's like Before Sunset, Waking Life, and that series on Netflix The Midnight Gospel.

I avoided this movie for a while. When I decided to watch it, I turned it off after a short introduction to the main character. With absolutely nothing else of interest to watch on Netflix, I went back to this one and loved it! The situations are real and raw. I have a new perspective on selecting stories and putting expectations aside. And I thought I already was.

There are quite a few mixed reviews here so I'll go ahead and give as much of a diplomatic review as I can from my perspective: Straight away I felt this film was like a school cafeteria lunch where there were some things I loved but some things I was highly against, but even those things I knew were there for a reason. This film I feel touches on this idea of wanting to find love in a big place, thus the often blurred out backdrop of Manhattan, and is a bit more open with how we like to think about what we want. The dynamic between the characters is very well shown through the acting and certain line delieveries, so I can’t fault it for that. The acting seemed quite natural...okay not EVERYTHING but most of it seem like conversations were had, rather than forced. I feel I enjoyed certain moment of the film due to my own subjective past experience so I can say now, to other people this would just seem strange, stupid and a bit off unless you really let yourself go (which tbh you should because it's a film🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️) and try to understand it. I can't lie some scenes seemed strange and I struggled to understand what the point was. The music used was classic 'old but gold' which on itself is amazing but I feel it didn't give me as much of a romantic feel as I'd hoped it would. I would reccommend you try out this film but I can't guarantee it will be the film for you. If you do watch it, PLEASE try to loosen up!! Because the film does something different where it chooses to be open and honest through the relationship and comfort between the characters rather than unnaturally mysterious and implicit. I'm open to any conversations about the film below.

it actually wasn't as bad as all these people are making it out to be. it was different and not the greatest but an OK movie. I could give you a list of much worse movies.
