I have an FJR and I feel I'm pretty good at handling my machine, until I stumbled across this video that is!! This rider is exceptionally skilled at slow tight maneuvering, especially with a passenger holding onto to his chest . Wow!! Kudos to you sir!!!!
Been Riding for over 30 years on the street alone and been to two advanced riding clinics and done a fair amount of Track Riding. You sir did a damned good job.
I has one of these for a few of years before I had to give up riding when I was 65. They are truly amazing to flop around like this. I would call myself an advanced rider. I could chase down supermotos zig-zaging through a line of cones, scraping the bike on the tarmac each side. This guy is really good, but the bike really does lend itself to this sort of riding.
@@0xsergy They really are, and that's where half the skill is. Look at the riders hands if you have a large screen. Lots of a motorcycle acts like a gyroscope, at very low speeds its mainly the engine. At higher speeds the wheels take over, along with the steering geometry, which is what makes it possible to stand up with your hands off the bars. The faster you go the easier it is.
You got an out loud 'OOOOOOOH' from me as you threaded the bke through that narrow path after a tight turn. Very nice skills, I wish I was half as good as you!

Chapeau haut pour le conducteur. J'ai eu la chance d'assister lors d'un Tokyo Motor Show a une demonstration d'une équipe féminine de la police métropolitaine. C'était bleufant.
A l'extreme limite , on pourrait peut etre s'en sortir si il y a des escaliers ( et encore ) . Non mais serieusement pour avoir eu l'occasion de suivre leurs entrainements à Fontainebleau et malgrés mes 28 ans de conduite , ben c'est un métier , faut pas se leurrer .
C'est ce qu'on apprend en stage AFDM, le dos reste droit pour faire contre poids, les bras bien parallèles au sol pour avoir une meilleure poussée en contre braquage. Et surtout le regard. Ensuite c'est la machine qui fait le taf. Ce qu'il fait est juste excellent. Je serai loin d'en faire autant pourtant j'ai suivi le stage !
@@RoBin-ro8xd c'est l'Association de Formation Des Motards. C'est une petite sœur de la FFMC et de la mutuelle des motards et de Moto Magazine grosso modo. Ils font des stages de 2 jours en plateau pour apprendre a gérer ta machine et être mieux formé et être plus en sécurité. C'est pas un stage pour aller vite, juste mieux maîtriser comme ce qui est fait avec la FJR car au permis on apprend pas ça, et pas aussi bien. Je l'ai fait il y a 10 ans, ça m'a changé la vie. Ce qui est fait avec la FJR est exactement ce qu'on y enseigne (regard, bras, dos etc). Je conseille ces stage AFDM. La gendarmerie ou police moto font aussi des stages mais moins long et dense que l'AFDM mais la technique est là même. 😉
@@RoBin-ro8xd il faut regarder sur leur site il y a 5 ou 6 centre en France je crois. Moi je suis en Lorraine et coup de bol il y a une antenne a Nancy. Mais certains se deplacent de loin. L'AFDM fait aussi le stage Montagne pour apprendre les enfillade de virages. Je l'ai pas fait. Idéalement il faut prendre une adhésion FFMC car si tu es adhérent, lors de ton stage AFDM il y a un formateur et autant de bénévoles AFDM que de stagiaire. Donc tu es jamais seul et tu progresses. C'est vraiment bien fait car en plus ils te filment durant les exercices et le soir débriefing vidéo sur ce que tu fais en bien / pas bien Une superbe expérience !!

Super parcours. Mais la maniabilité, c'est aussi la facilité à récupérer une situation compromise. Par exemple, de la pousser en sortant du garage étroit, ou manouevrer sur une rue en pente, ou récupérer un roue avant qui ripe sur du gravillon ou du GO. C'est facile à rattraper avec une 650 Vstrom, ou 700Yam, mais avec les 300kg de la FJ (ou de toute autre grosse brêle) , alors tout le monde est par terre, et on en bave pour la remettre debout quand il n'y a pas de place ou que le sol glisse. ;-)

Dude did you mention that you raised the forks through the tripple about an inch ??? & that's when the bike handles 150 lbs lighter ... I know because I changed mine & you could of done this one handed .... so if anyone reading this wants there bike to handle like this .. about 3/4 of an inch ( raise the forks ) any more then that it could get unsteady over 100 mph .. I never had a problem ( my bike does the same I can actually scrape the pegs at low speed maneuvers as he is doing
