This is a good point, thanks for the feedback. If you check some other covers of mine, you see that I sometimes completely change them choosing my way of playing it (check for example my piano version of "Supreme"). But sometimes I prefer to play more like the original song, and this was the case. :)
I just learned it myself in piano lesson: Do not hold your pedal the entire time…. Its a technique. For example every time you play a song with 4 different chords, you put your pedal down every time you play a chord (but in a small delay) and then play the next and in that moment where you put the fingers on the keyboard you release the pedal and put your feet again on it (in a small delay) etc
